The International Open Festival "Theater Boulevard" won the "Znanie" Award—the best educational project of the year—in the category "For Contribution to Education in the Field of Culture and Art." The awards ceremony was held at the "Rossiya" National Center.
"The 2025 Teatralny Boulevard Festival brought together over 1.5 million spectators across its venues and became one of the capital's largest and most anticipated cultural events. The project made theatrical art accessible to everyone. This was one of our main goals—to introduce as many Muscovites and visitors as possible to plays, theatrical performances, and musical programs by Russian and international groups. We thank you for your high appreciation of our festival," noted the Moscow Government Minister and Head of the Moscow Department of Culture.
The Theatre Boulevard Festival ran in Moscow for 92 days—from June 1 to August 31, 2025—making it the longest-running theatre festival in the world. During this time, over a thousand performances were presented at 14 city venues. Theaters from 30 Russian regions and 12 foreign countries participated in the program. The festival was organized by the Moscow Department of Culture as part of the "Summer in Moscow" project.
