Minsk, November 11 (Xinhua) — The international specialized wholesale exhibition and fair PRODEXPO-2025 opened in Belarus on Tuesday. The event, held at the Minsk International Exhibition Center, attracted 150 food and beverage producers and suppliers from seven countries.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Belarus Alexander Yakovchits noted that the event remains relevant. "This year, colleagues from Armenia and Azerbaijan are actively participating. Producers from Vietnam, India, and Turkey are also participating. Many colleagues from Russia are also present. A number of high-level delegations from 11 Russian regions are represented," BELTA quotes Yakovchits as saying.
He also noted that Belarusian food products are already sold in 115 countries. "We're not resting on our laurels. The Belarusian leader has set goals for deeper penetration into distant countries, including Africa and China," the deputy minister said.
This year's exhibition will allow food industry operators to showcase new products and technological solutions for food production, while industry experts will discuss food market development. A number of international competitions and tastings will also be held.
The international specialized wholesale exhibition and fair PRODEXPO is Belarus's leading food trade show. The event will run until November 14.
