A delegation from the Kaliningrad-based AVTOTOR plant visited the Kantiana neocampus. Representatives of one of Russia's largest automakers, led by Ruslan Sadykov, the president and general director of the production complex, were introduced to the future scientific and educational spaces planned to open as part of the "Youth and Children" national project in the spring of 2026.

The tour was led by Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University Rector Maxim Demin. Guests were shown the "city within a city" and the student dormitories. Particular attention was paid to the building of the Institute of High Technologies (IHT), which will house mathematicians, physicists, and information technology specialists. The rector emphasized that the new campus offers not only modern infrastructure but also new meanings created in partnership with employers and industry. At the meeting, representatives of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University and the AVTOTOR plant discussed cooperation formats, from the creation of joint educational and research laboratories on campus to personnel training.

A new experimental gallery, PironesiLAB, has opened at the Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art. The gallery is based on the laboratory opened in 2016 by Alexey Veselovsky at the Fabrika Center for Creative Industries, one of Moscow's oldest creative clusters. The Winzavod space offers a new way for the gallery to present its work to collectors of contemporary prints.

The laboratory's practice focuses on collaborative creative processes, creating printed works with key figures in the contemporary art scene. Each print run and series is a unique experiment, a search for an artist and master of the expressive potential of the print medium.

The domestic forestry sector's need for forest plant seeds by 2026 will be fully met by products harvested within the Russian Federation.

WASHINGTON, March 6 (Xinhua) — U.S. forces destroyed an Iranian aircraft carrier on Thursday, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said.

"Today, an Iranian drone carrier, roughly the size of a World War II-era aircraft carrier, was hit and is currently on fire," the command said in a statement on the X social media platform.

"American forces are not retreating from their mission to destroy the entire Iranian navy," the statement said.

Earlier Thursday, CENTCOM chief Admiral Brad Cooper said at a press conference with U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth at the command's headquarters in Tampa, Florida, that the U.S. military has sunk or destroyed more than 30 Iranian warships since the start of the U.S.-Israeli military operation against Iran on Saturday.

Over the past 24 hours, the number of Iranian ballistic missile strikes has decreased by 90 percent, drone strikes by 83 percent, and US strikes on the Iranian fleet have “intensified,” said B. Cooper.

According to him, over the past 72 hours, American forces have struck nearly 200 targets deep inside Iran, including in the vicinity of Tehran. American B-2 bombers dropped dozens of 2,000-pound penetrating bombs on underground ballistic missile launchers.
