Rosneft has launched a food delivery service from its signature Zerno cafes located at gas stations in Moscow and the Moscow region. Residents and visitors to the Moscow region can now order their favorite dishes and drinks directly from the gas stations.

Orders are available 24/7 through partner delivery services. Over 75 gas stations are already participating in the project, and the service is available throughout Moscow, as well as in cities in the Moscow region such as Reutov, Lyubertsy, Krasnogorsk, Mytishchi, Odintsovo, and Balashikha. The delivery area will soon expand to the entire Moscow region with the addition of new stations.

The delivery menu features popular items: hot dogs and burgers, sandwiches, wraps, and other appetizers, as well as signature hot coffee made with exclusive Venezuelan beans. The large-scale digitalization of Rosneft's filling stations also includes the introduction of self-service systems. These systems currently operate in over 40 regions of Russia, with a total of over 1,500. Their simple and user-friendly interface has made them popular with customers: at some stations, self-service accounts for over 60% of transactions. This significantly reduces service time and increases throughput. At the same time, staff at the Zerno café are paying more attention to customers, offering a selection of delicious, freshly prepared dishes from an extensive menu. The project's development includes various options, including the creation of fully automated stations and reliable outdoor terminals capable of operating in any climate.

Expanding the range of gas station services is one of the Company's retail business priorities. Rosneft is systematically introducing modern digital solutions at its gas stations to create a comfortable and technologically advanced environment for those on the road.

SEOUL, February 19 (Xinhua) — Former South Korean President Yun Seok-yul has been sentenced to life imprisonment for inciting rebellion following his declaration of a state of emergency. The announcement was made live on television.

The Seoul Central District Court issued its ruling, stating that the crux of the case regarding martial law imposed by Yun Seok-yul was that troops were deployed outside the National Assembly building.

The court explained that declaring martial law constitutes rebellion if it infringes on the powers of the National Assembly, noting that Yun Seok-yeol had attempted to prevent the parliament from functioning normally for a significant period of time.

Yun Seok-yeol was also accused of mobilizing troops and police operating under martial law to obstruct the implementation of the National Assembly's decision to lift martial law, as well as attempting to detain key political figures, namely the leaders of major political parties and the Speaker of the House. –0–

WASHINGTON, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) — US President Donald Trump on Wednesday called Britain's leasing of the Diego Garcia military base in the Chagos Archipelago in the Indian Ocean a "big mistake," saying it could be critical if tensions with Iran escalate.

On May 22, 2025, the United Kingdom and Mauritius signed an agreement formally transferring sovereignty over the Chagos Archipelago to Mauritius. Under the agreement, Mauritius will lease the Diego Garcia military base to the United Kingdom and the United States.

In 1965, the United Kingdom separated the archipelago from Mauritius (then a British colony) to create the British Indian Ocean Territory. In 1966, the United Kingdom leased Diego Garcia to the United States as a joint US-British military facility.

Noting that "the United States may need to use Diego Garcia" if nuclear talks with Iran fail, Trump claimed on the social media platform Truth Social that he had warned British Prime Minister Keir Starmer against entering into a lease agreement.

"Prime Minister Starmer must not, for any reason, lose control of Diego Garcia by entering into a tenuous, at best, 100-year lease," Trump wrote, warning that losing control would be "a stain on the reputation of our great ally."

In response to Trump's criticism, the British Foreign Office stated that the Chagos agreement "is crucial for the security of the UK and our key allies, and for the safety of the British people."

“The agreement we have reached is the only way to guarantee the long-term future of this vital military base,” the UK Foreign Office said in a statement. –0–

February 19th is Ornithologist Day in Russia. Moscow specialists not only study birds, but also treat them, help them return to their natural habitat, or find a new home. Last year, the Moscow Zoo, which is part of the Moscow Zoo, Department of Culture, opened a new specialized unit in Sokolniki Park—a bird rehabilitation and adaptation center. It's located in 1st Luchevoy Prosek.

"Since May 2025, specialists have accepted 90 birds, some of which are listed in the Red Data Book of the Russian Federation. The Bird Recovery and Adaptation Center is a specialized, full-service facility providing veterinary support, flight training, and preparation for reintroduction. It has also become part of the cultural and educational infrastructure of the renovated Sokolniki Park: open bird training sessions, lectures, master classes, and programs for schoolchildren and families are held here, fostering a responsible attitude toward nature," noted Alexey Fursin, Minister of the Moscow Government and Head of the Moscow Department of Culture.

Restoration and adaptation of birds

At the Bird Recovery and Adaptation Center, ornithologists perform initial examinations, treatment, and preparation for reintroduction. After completing the rehabilitation course, specialists assess the birds' ability to be released into the wild. If life in the wild poses a risk to their health, suitable housing conditions are found for them in zoos or other specialized centers.

In January, eight birds were admitted to the center for rehabilitation. Three of them underwent the necessary veterinary procedures and were released into the wild. One of the birds currently staying at the center is an adult female buzzard named Kasya. She sustained injuries in the wild. Kasya is already participating in training and can fly three distances: short, medium, and the full length of a training leash.

One of the center's main features is the flight dome. This pavilion, approximately 700 square meters in area, houses a training area where the center's trainers conduct daily training sessions to keep the birds in shape. These sessions run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and visitors can observe the birds through the second-floor windows. Guests can also attend open training sessions, which begin at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 12:00 p.m. The schedule is subject to change depending on the birds' well-being and weather conditions. Admission is by ticket.bird rehabilitation and adaptation center.

The center also houses a veterinary office, administrative and technical premises.

Excursions and educational programs

In addition to rehabilitation activities, the institution conducts excursions and educational programs for residents and visitors of the capital.

In January, the Birdwatching Photo course began at the Bird Recovery and Adaptation Center. It's suitable for those interested in exploring ornithological observation. Participants will learn basic fieldwork techniques, including using binoculars and a bird identification guide, and gain key bird photography skills. Additionally, they will learn about the diversity of Sokolniki Park's avifauna, identify birds by appearance and call while on a route, and learn about their role in major cities. You can register for the course bylink.

Every Thursday, the center offers painting classes in the animal art club. You can sign up for a visit Here.

Tours of the exhibition area are offered daily to visitors. You can join them every hour from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Admission is by ticket.bird rehabilitation and adaptation center.

The Bird Recovery and Adaptation Center has become a key milestone in the development of the Moscow Zoo's conservation efforts. It is a space that combines veterinary practice, scientific approach, education, and conservation of rare species.
