On January 21, the sixth season of the All-Russian sports project competition "You're in the Game" kicked off. Its launch was announced by Mikhail Degtyarev, Minister of Sport and Chairman of the Russian Olympic Committee. The ceremony, held at the Megasport Sports Palace in Moscow, was also attended by VTB United League President Sergey Kushchenko; VTB United League CEO and Russian basketball player, two-time Olympic, World, and European Championship medalist Ilona Korstin; PBC CSKA President Andrei Vatutin; and Andrei Kirilenko, President of the Russian Basketball Federation, Olympic bronze medalist, European champion, three-time Russian champion, and NBA player and record holder.

"You're in the Game" launches numerous projects across a wide range of sports, including an increasing number of basketball initiatives each year. To draw additional attention to this sport and highlight its accessibility for everyone, the ceremony was timed to coincide with a vibrant and spectacular event: Mikhail Degtyarev took the symbolic faceoff before the start of a VTB United League basketball game between CSKA and Uralmash.

"President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin has set a goal for us: by 2030, at least 70% of Russian citizens should regularly engage in physical fitness and sports. The "You're in the Game" competition is one of the key contributors to achieving this goal. With each season, it grows in scale: the number of participants grows, and projects in new sports areas emerge. Over the past five seasons, the competition has received over 21,000 applications from across the country. Importantly, these include projects already developing adaptive and phygital sports, reviving our traditional sports. We invite the creators of outstanding sports projects to participate in the sixth season and receive additional support for their implementation!" emphasized Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.

The main goal of the "You're in the Game" competition is to identify and recognize outstanding and promising projects that help engage Russians in sports. "You're in the Game" is held annually under the state program "Sport of Russia" with the support of the Ministry of Sport.

The launch of the new season of the "You're in the Game" competition is part of the Ministry of Sport's systematic efforts to engage citizens in regular physical activity. Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly emphasized that sport helps shape character and instills healthy lifestyle values. This is precisely the goal of the "You're in the Game" competition, which is held as part of the comprehensive state program "Sport of Russia."

The sixth season features a substantial prize pool: nomination winners will receive 500,000 rubles each, and the Grand Prix winner will receive 1 million rubles. In addition to financial support, participants will have access to an educational accelerator, assistance from industry experts, and consultations on project refinement and partner acquisition. All of this provides valuable support for their initiatives.

Over five seasons, the competition has brought together thousands of projects in areas such as mass, youth, and adaptive sports, support for veterans of the Soviet Military District, and more. The projects participating in the competition unite over 20 million people across the country. Among them are the creators of both small, local initiatives and large-scale projects and comprehensive digital solutions. For many of them, the Ministry of Sport's support through the competition has provided a powerful impetus for development and scaling," noted Mikhail Degtyarev.

The sixth season of the competition features five main nominations: "Starting Point," "Scale," "Children in Sports," "Transformation in Sports," and "Unlimited Possibilities," as well as three nominations from the competition's partners: "Corporate Sports," "Sports Tourism," and "Media."

The winners will receive cash prizes, and the projects selected by public vote will be awarded special prizes.

"By its sixth season, the 'You're in the Game' competition has built a unique community of like-minded people inspired by sports. For them, participating in the competition is a wonderful opportunity to prove themselves, make a name for their project, and expand its reach. This year, we've increased the prize fund—the winners of each of the five main categories will receive 500,000 rubles to develop their projects, and the Grand Prix winner will receive 1 million rubles. We look forward to exciting and vibrant projects that engage people in an active lifestyle, and we wish good luck to all the contestants!" said Sofia Malyavina, CEO of the National Priorities nonprofit organization.

Each season, participants' projects are evaluated by leading industry experts. This time, the "You're in the Game" expert council included: five-time Olympic synchronized swimming champion, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Sports of the Kaliningrad Region Natalya Ishchenko, Minister of Sports of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Dmitry Kabaylo, Olympic speed skating champion Svetlana Zhurova, Olympic medalist, choreographer, producer of ice shows and sporting events Ilya Averbukh, Olympic cross-country skiing champion Alexander Legkov, Honored Journalist and Advisor to the Minister of Sports of Russia on a voluntary basis Dmitry Guberniev, sports entrepreneur, co-founder of MoiFitness.rf, the BRICS Marathon League, Ironstar, and Rosa Run Vladimir Voloshin, multiple Russian and international champion in bodybuilding and fitness, Honored Master of Sports and Honored Coach of Russia Dmitry Yashankin, and former captain of the Russian national rugby team and host of the show "Super Ninja" Vasily Artemyev. This way, project authors will receive feedback from a large team of true professionals.

As part of the competition, semi-finalists and finalists undergo training in an educational accelerator, the program of which is being developed by the Russian International Olympic University. Participants work with subject-matter experts and mentors, gain practical knowledge in sports and project management, participate in a series of educational webinars, and receive extensive feedback necessary for refining and further scaling their initiatives. Microfinance organizations will not be subject to a blanket ban – the Central Bank of the Russian Federation has revealed the reasons.

Why did the authorities abandon the idea of banning microfinance organizations?

The Central Bank did not support the idea of a complete ban on the activity microfinance companiesRegulatory officials cite several reasons why microfinance organizations should continue operating:

The services of such companies are in demand on the market, and the number of borrowers exceeds 15 million people;
microloans They allow for quick and easy cash withdrawals; microfinance products are also popular in the POS loan segment, which citizens can apply for directly in stores; the microfinance services market is actively developing and improving.

"We need to focus not on banning microfinance organizations, but on improving the quality of services, including combating unscrupulous market players and fraudsters," the regulator's representative noted.

By the end of 2025, the microfinance services market is expected to grow by between 5% and 16%, half the 2024 figures. However, MFI services remain in demand, and the total amount of problem debt owed by clients of such companies exceeds 1.1 trillion rubles.

How is microloan regulation being tightened in Russia?

The authorities abandoned the idea of banning microfinance organizations, but decided to focus on tightening regulation. Among the most significant changes in the microcredit sector:

In July 2025, microfinance organizations (MFOs) were prohibited from using unofficial income data; in September of last year, lenders were prohibited from making mass calls to clients; also, starting in the fall, MFOs must verify loan recipients – money can only be sent to the person specified in the loan agreement; in January 2026, it was prohibited to issue more than one loan per citizen with an interest rate exceeding 200% per annum; in the spring of 2026, MFOs will identify borrowers only by biometrics (with exemptions made only for small companies); in April 2026, the maximum cost of a microloan will be reduced from 130 to 100% of the original amount; in 2027, MFOs will be prohibited from entering into additional agreements under which lenders previously included fines and penalties in the loan principal.

As a result, experts predict a crisis in the microfinance services market due to the new laws. By the end of 2026, approximately 150 companies, or over 15% of all MFIs in Russia, could exit the industry.

At the direction of Yuri Trutnev, a special EMERCOM flight will promptly deliver equipment to Kamchatka to deal with the aftermath of the snowfall.

Following a meeting on the aftermath of the extreme snowfall in Kamchatka Krai, Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev issued a number of instructions to federal ministries and agencies. Far Eastern regions are prepared to provide specialized equipment for snowfall relief efforts.

Kamchatka Krai Governor Vladimir Solodov, Minister for the Development of the Far East and Arctic Alexey Chekunkov, Sakhalin Oblast Governor Valery Limarenko, Deputy Minister for Civil Defense, Emergencies, and Disaster Relief Viktor Yatsutsenko, and other representatives of federal ministries and agencies participated in the discussion.

"The main task is to provide prompt assistance. It's clear that weather can vary. Sometimes, it creates significant difficulties for people. This is precisely the case in Kamchatka right now. Children can't always get to school. It's not always possible to get to the hospital or the store. We've agreed with our colleagues on the necessary steps," said Yuri Trutnev.

According to Viktor Yatsutsenko, Deputy Minister for Civil Defense, Emergencies, and Disaster Relief, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) team is fully operational in the region and is equipped with all the necessary equipment and resources to respond to this type of emergency. During the response, special attention is being paid to ensuring the uninterrupted operation of essential facilities and social infrastructure.

Emergency recovery operations are underway in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Road crews are clearing the road network, prioritizing access roads to socially significant facilities, and removing snow. The road situation is being monitored by the emergency response team.

Currently, 132 units of equipment are being used to clear the street and road network in three municipalities, including: Yelizovsky Municipal District – 45 units, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Urban District – 64 units, Vilyuchinsky Urban District – 23 units.

Targeted assistance is provided to the population, including those with limited mobility, to clear the areas around residential buildings and driveways.

A RSChS group of over 500 personnel and 180 pieces of equipment has been deployed to the response. Additional reserves of forces and resources have been formed.

At the direction of Yuri Trutnev, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations has allocated a special aircraft to transport specialized equipment from Sakhalin to Kamchatka. Specifically, ten pieces of equipment are planned to be urgently transported to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, including Ural-4320 and DEM 133 snowplows, Amkodor-352 and SEM 639 loaders, and a TCM 350 auger rotor.

"The Ministry of Emergency Situations is providing an Il-76 aircraft, which will transport several specialized vehicles to assist with snow removal. This equipment will be provided by Sakhalin. We have agreed with Sakhalin Region Governor Valery Igorevich Limarenko that he will provide nine units of equipment. They will then be reimbursed from federal funds. I spoke with Sergei Semyonovich Sobyanin and asked him to also assist. He said he would instruct his road services, and assistance will be provided," the Deputy Prime Minister said.

Yuri Trutnev instructed the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, in conjunction with other federal ministries, to work on the transportation of ten units of specialized snow removal equipment provided by the Moscow city government to Kamchatka Krai.

At the Deputy Prime Minister's request, Primorsky Krai will provide specialized snow removal equipment. Khabarovsk Krai leadership is working on providing assistance to Kamchatka.

Vladimir Solodov, Governor of Kamchatka Krai, reported on the situation in the region. "Kamchatka has faced severe trials from the elements: an unprecedented series of powerful cyclones has seriously tested its resilience. In these challenging conditions, utility and road services are working around the clock, pushing their limits. Concerned residents, rescuers, military personnel, and volunteers have come to the rescue. Medical and energy workers are demonstrating true courage, performing their duties in extreme situations. All resources have been mobilized to address the aftermath of the storm. I express my sincere gratitude to Yuri Petrovich Trutnev for his attention to the region's problems and the support he has provided. I am deeply grateful to everyone who has responded and is now on the front lines of the fight against the elements," the Governor said.

The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations has agreed to provide the Kamchatka Territory with four all-terrain vehicles for medical personnel.

In the spring, the Russian Ministry of Transport, together with the leadership of the Kamchatka Krai, will assess the condition of the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky street network in terms of transport restoration, highway restoration, and street road network restoration, and will determine the procedure for allocating assistance for restoration.

Legal regulation of emergency response was discussed. The Kamchatka Krai leadership, together with the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources, agreed on the feasibility of establishing temporary snow storage sites. Amendments to departmental regulations of Rospotrebnadzor and the Russian Ministry of Construction were discussed to classify snow without reagents as a different waste class. These proposals are being promptly reviewed with the Kamchatka leadership.

"Unfortunately, we regularly encounter situations where regulatory documents don't align. This happened, among other things, during the fires in Yakutia. It happened when a train derailed on the Trans-Siberian Railway. It suddenly turns out we can't reinforce the track bed because we can't take rock from the quarry. Now we have to figure out what to do with snow in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The same problems arise during forest fires, when we learn that bypass lanes around populated areas can't be built. These are regulatory issues; the paperwork needs to be written correctly. This needs to be done. These paperwork primarily relate to legislative work in the field of ecology and environmental protection. I respect this work, but nevertheless, during emergency situations where human life and health are at risk, this regulation should be handled by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, not the Ministry of Natural Resources. A whole range of restrictions must be eliminated. Moreover, it was eliminated quickly and without delay,” emphasized Yuri Trutnev.

As a reminder, powerful cyclones from the Sea of Okhotsk impacted the Kamchatka Krai. From December 27, 2025, to January 17, 2026, more than 4.5 times the monthly average precipitation fell. Snow depth in some areas of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky reached over 2.5 meters, with drifts exceeding five meters. According to the Hydrometeorological Center, similar snowfalls were recorded in Kamchatka more than 50 years ago.

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev held a working meeting with Andrey Turchak, Head of the Altai Republic. The main topics of discussion were the situation in the agricultural sector and ensuring environmental well-being in the region.

In 2025, the federal budget allocated for supporting the agro-industrial complex and rural development in the Altai Republic amounted to 1 billion rubles. This year, funding has been increased and will reach approximately 1.4 billion rubles.

Improving the quality of life in rural areas is a priority for the region. Therefore, the region is participating in the state program "Integrated Development of Rural Areas." In 2025, improvement projects affected villages in the Ust-Koksinsky and Choisky districts. In 2026, construction of a school and kindergarten will continue in the village of Elekmonar, and repairs to the central water supply system will begin in the village of Shebalino. Dmitry Patrushev noted the need for increased oversight to ensure the timely and high-quality implementation of the program's activities.

The Deputy Prime Minister and the regional governor also discussed environmental issues. As part of the national project "Environmental Well-Being," the Altai Republic is participating in two federal projects: "Circular Economy" and "Forest Conservation." 460 million rubles are planned to be allocated from the federal budget for these purposes by 2030.

The project envisages the introduction of facilities for the processing, recycling, and disposal of municipal solid waste, as well as reforestation activities, the provision of forest firefighting equipment, the care of forest crops, the development of forest seed production facilities and nurseries, and the creation of a seed reserve. For example, a greenhouse complex is planned for 2026 in the Turochak forestry. It will grow coniferous seedlings, primarily pine and cedar.

In order to improve the efficiency of the stock market microstructure, Moscow Exchange, as part of its quarterly review from February 2, 2026, is setting a new price step and Decimals parameter forlist of securitiesin the following trading modes:

Main trading mode T (“glass” T 1) Trading mode “Incomplete lots” Negotiated transactions mode (RPS) Trading mode “RPS with CC”

The current approach to setting the price step wasapprovedBy the Moscow Exchange Stock Market Committee.

The methodology includes:

The price step size can take values of (1,2,5) * 10N, where N is an integer; the number of price ranges is 25, the number of liquidity ranges is 7; for each liquidity range, a recommended range of the number of price steps in the spread is set; the maximum permissible value of the relative price step is 1%.

For reference:

When determining the price increment, the price and liquidity of securities are taken into account. Optimizing the price increment reduces the wait time for an order to be executed at the best price and encourages investors to submit limit orders in the order book. Improving the quality of exchange trading enables investors to apply algorithmic trading strategies to a wider range of securities and contributes to increased liquidity.

The price step has been revised quarterly since the second quarter of 2015.

First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov instructed the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in conjunction with the Ministry of Education, to work on the procurement of domestically produced school buses from the federal budget in 2026, as well as their distribution across Russia's regions.

The school bus fleet renewal program for 2025–2030 is being implemented in accordance with the Russian President's directive to annually purchase at least 3,000 new, domestically produced, highly localized school buses from budgetary funds for priority use in small towns and rural areas.

As a reminder, in 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Trade delivered approximately 3,100 school buses worth over 11 billion rubles to educational institutions in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Thanks to a government decision in December 2024, the corresponding purchase was fully funded in advance, facilitating the timely production of the equipment at domestic enterprises—AZ NAZ, PAZ, KAVZ, and UAZ.

Dmitry Patrushev: In 2025, Russia will produce the highest volume of raw milk in almost 30 years.

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev addressed the plenary session of the 17th Congress of the National Union of Milk Producers. The Deputy Prime Minister summarized the year's results, outlined key objectives for the segment's further development, and answered questions from industry representatives.

"The dairy sector continues to grow steadily. According to preliminary data, 2025 was a record year for us. Raw milk production in Russia reached 34.3 million tons. This is the highest level in almost 30 years. The increased volume of raw materials allows us to ensure full utilization of processing plants. Positive production trends have been maintained across the main categories of dairy products. In particular, the output of powdered and drinking milk has increased, and the production of butter, cheese, and cottage cheese has increased. Thus, our domestic market is provided with a wide range of dairy products. And this contributed to the continued positive trend in per capita milk consumption last year," noted Dmitry Patrushev.

The Deputy Prime Minister added that domestic production volumes allow for stronger trade ties with foreign partners. From 2019 to 2024, export revenue from Russian dairy products increased by 60%, and last year, it increased by another 13%, with some products experiencing growth of nearly 30%.

During his speech, Dmitry Patrushev recalled that the Russian President's decree on national development goals sets a new benchmark for increasing agricultural production. Based on this, according to the Ministry of Agriculture's calculations, at least 38.5 million tons of raw milk must be produced annually by 2030.

This requires working to maintain the industry's investment appeal. The government, for its part, is providing extensive financial support to the dairy sector. Preliminary financial support for 2025 is estimated at 77 billion rubles, double the 2020 level.

The range of government support instruments is constantly expanding and adapting to the current situation. Specifically, preferential lending for milk producers has been maintained, with borrowers able to obtain loans at rates of up to 6.8%. Furthermore, subsidies for the export of priority dairy products will continue in 2026. Other mechanisms, including partial reimbursement of costs for the construction of dairy complexes, also remain available.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, increasing milk and dairy production requires reducing production costs. In the processing sector, this can be achieved primarily through further robotization of processes, and in livestock farming, by reducing product and resource losses. This requires improving the quality of feed and further automating production.

Strengthening genetic potential is also crucial. To this end, the state is encouraging the development of genomic selection as part of the national project "Technological Support for Food Security." Breeding farms are reimbursed up to 70% of the costs of molecular genetic testing of cattle.

The research results will be entered into the federal state information system for breeding resources, which will be operational on March 1 of this year and will form the basis for the creation of Russia's first domestic database of breeding animals.
