Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko and Minister of Sport Mikhail Degtyarev noted the Russian team's impressive performance at the 3rd CIS Games, which took place in Azerbaijan from September 28.

"As President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin has said, our country has been and remains one of the world's leading sporting powers, the birthplace of great athletes, victories, and records. The remarkable achievements of Russian athletes at the 3rd CIS Games and the joy we felt for them confirm these words. Russia became the overall champion in gold medals and in total medals. Our athletes won 231 medals, 130 of which were gold medals. I congratulate the national team on this outstanding result and wish them continued victories," Dmitry Chernyshenko emphasized.

The Russian team included 249 athletes, competing as a unified team under the national flag and anthem. They competed in 20 sports and won all gold medals in rhythmic gymnastics, table tennis, badminton, volleyball, and 3×3 basketball.

The team from the Nebesnaya Gratsiya Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy, led by Alina Kabaeva, competed in the international tournament for the first time. The organization covered all expenses for its athletes.

Athletes from the Commonwealth of Independent States, as well as Cuba, Kuwait, Oman, Pakistan, and Turkey, took part in the Games. The Azerbaijani team took second place, and the Belarusian team took third.

"The competition brought together 13 countries and over 2,400 people. The Russian team competed in Azerbaijan under the national flag and anthem. The competitions took place in seven cities across Azerbaijan, with the opening ceremony taking place at the new stadium in Ganja. The organizers prepared a rich cultural program. It not only included fan zones, concerts, and DJ performances, but also allowed participants and guests of the Games to discover the region's historical heritage. Tours of Azerbaijan's ancient cities were organized for journalists," said Sports Minister Mikhail Degtyarev.

Particular attention was paid to the color and traditions of the South Caucasus during the Games. For the first time in the history of the CIS Games, competitions in the national game of chovgan were held. International archery competitions were also included in the Games program for the first time.

More than 3,000 volunteers participated in organizing the tournament, helping to ensure the successful conduct of the competitions and other Games events.

The idea of holding the CIS Games was put forward by Russia at the meeting of the CIS Heads of State Council in Dushanbe on September 28, 2018. The first CIS Games were held in Kazan in September 2021, and the second Games in August 2023 in Minsk and other cities of Belarus.

At a meeting of the Far Eastern Federal District Council held in Yakutsk under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev, the Far Eastern regions that presented their best exhibits at the "Far East Street" exhibition in September of this year, part of the 10th anniversary Eastern Economic Forum. The EEF was organized by the Roscongress Foundation.

"This year, more than 8,000 people from 75 countries participated in the tenth anniversary Eastern Economic Forum. This is a record number. The leadership of domestic and international companies is interested in the development of the Russian Far East. This interest is driven by our joint work to fulfill the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation. The "Far East Street" exhibition has become a traditional part of the EEF. The level of preparation for all exhibits has improved significantly this year. The Republic of Buryatia's exhibit was recognized as the best pavilion. I would like to thank the head of the region, Alexey Sambuevich Tsydenov. A great deal of work has been accomplished. He said he has exhausted the ability to consistently outperform other regions and is asking for the bar to be raised. We'll consult with him and perhaps we will. The "Far East Street" exhibition has become an independent and important element of the forum. We've learned to communicate in an engaging way the things our regions are proud of—the construction of enterprises, cultural features, and tourist appeal. I thank all the regional heads for this work," said Yuri Trutnev.

Five more regions received awards. Kamchatka, Khabarovsk Krai, and Primorye pavilions won the "High Technologies" category. Yakutia and Chukotka were named the best Far Eastern regions in the "Best Cultural Program" category. The day before, Yuri Trutnev awarded the "Voin" Center for the Development of Military-Sports Training and Patriotic Education of Youth, which won the "Best Industry Pavilion" category.

The "Far East Street" exhibition opened as part of the tenth anniversary Eastern Economic Forum from September 3 to 9 this year. The exhibition was organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Office of the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District.

The exhibition featured exhibits dedicated to the key achievements, investment potential, and cultural characteristics of 11 regions of the Far East. In particular, visitors learned about the development of border agglomerations, tourist destinations, master plans for Far Eastern cities, the work of industrial enterprises, and much more.

The opening of "Far East Street" included a ceremonial procession with a large 150-meter St. George ribbon along the FEFU embankment to the exhibition's main stage. During the ceremony, the honor guard of the S.O. Makarov Pacific Higher Naval School carried the Russian Federation flag and the Victory Banner onto the stage, accompanied by the Nevelskoy Moscow State University Variety Orchestra.

One of the main themes this year was the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Each region integrated elements related to the Victory anniversary into its program.

Also open to visitors were the exhibition's exhibits by the Russian Ministry of Sport, a joint pavilion by the Ministry for the Development of the Far East and Arctic and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation "Developing the Far," and two large stands by the Voin Center. Primorsky Krai also hosted a separate Fish Market.

Additionally, the exhibition grounds featured a "Falcon House," where forum guests and participants could learn more about falcons: their habitats, behavioral characteristics, threats to their populations, and government conservation measures. A separate exhibit, "Arab Village," was also held at the exhibition, timed to coincide with the third international forum, "Falcon Day."

The 10th Eastern Economic Forum was held from September 3–6 on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok.

Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak participated in the joint plenary session "Russia's Creative Economy: Horizon 2050," a side event, and a cultural program, including a visit to an exhibition showcasing Russia's creative industries.

The joint plenary session was moderated by journalist Rick Sanchez and Vera Podguzova, Senior Vice President and Director of External Relations at PSB Bank.

"The creative industry is currently booming globally. Russia has joined this race, and we are very actively developing the creative sector in our country. The share of creative industries in our economy is slightly higher than the global average: 4.1% at the end of last year. Each area of the creative industry has enormous export potential. This not only fosters competition but also provides an opportunity to develop international partnerships, trade and economic cooperation, and strengthen trust between countries. Through the penetration and exchange of cultures, we convey our cultural code and our identity to the world," emphasized Alexander Novak.

The International Conference on the Creative Economy, taking place in St. Petersburg, will focus on the impact of creative industries on the economy, society, and new value chains for international cooperation. The event is expected to attract 1,500 participants and 120 experts from more than 30 countries. The platform will bring together creative industry representatives from BRICS, the CIS, the SCO, and MENA countries, who will seek common solutions and establish new partnerships.

"Competition in global markets between dominant countries and those losing their leadership in the global economy is occurring across all sectors. Today, competition, and in many ways the profitability of various products, is driven by meanings and experiences. Creativity is becoming a key factor in global competitiveness. The creative economy is a crucial element of public sovereignty. After all, the meanings, the cultural characteristics that are being developed now, the narratives conveyed through products and services, largely shape public consciousness. Therefore, the development of the creative economy is a factor in global competitiveness, public sovereignty, public identity, and the formation of a country's national consciousness," noted Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of Russia.

The key theme of the session was the need to move beyond the simple export of creative products to deep cooperation. Svetlana Chupsheva, CEO of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, emphasized that Russia sees itself not simply as a content provider, but as an integrator and partner in creating shared value. She announced the launch of a large-scale project: "The Russian International Creative Seasons will become an annual strategic platform for exchanging best practices, discussing trends, and developing joint projects. Creative industries are not logos or brands; they are a way of life. Today, Russia invites its partners to co-design the future—together, to decide how to preserve our cultures and traditions in the age of artificial intelligence, so that technology can work for the benefit of humanity."

The Roscongress Foundation will be a partner in the new project. "Creative industries are the driving force behind development and a true 'golden reserve' for our country. Today, the rich cultural heritage of Russia's peoples is blending with cutting-edge technology and artificial intelligence, opening new horizons for the growth of the creative sector. The Roscongress Foundation serves as a factory of meanings and ideas—its platforms shape key trends in the development of the creative economy. For several years now, we have been implementing the 'Soul of Russia' project, which brings together the best cultural achievements and innovative initiatives from our regions. The conference will feature approximately fifty discussions in various formats. Key topics include a global, unified, and transparent measurement system for creative economy research, intellectual property protection in the creative economy, the development of an education system tailored to the specifics of this sector, the role of creative cities in national economic development, strategies for the global promotion of creative industries, Russia's cooperation within BRICS, the SCO, and the CIS, and Russian-Chinese cooperation.
