Dushanbe, October 10 /Xinhua/ — The Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) decided to establish the "CIS Plus" format on October 10 in Dushanbe. This was reported on the website of the CIS Executive Committee on Friday.
This format was initiated by the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The statement notes that the "CIS Plus" format will become a platform for cooperation between CIS countries and other states, their associations, and international organizations interested in establishing interaction with the Commonwealth in areas of mutual interest.
The meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS was held on October 10 in the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe, under the chairmanship of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. –0–
