Moscow, October 10 /Xinhua/ — Units of the Russian and Pakistani armed forces practiced joint counterterrorism operations during the Druzhba-2025 military exercises, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
"During the joint Russian-Pakistani exercise 'Friendship-2025,' service members from the armed forces of the Russian Federation and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan practiced joint counter-terrorism operations," the Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
The exercises, held in Russia, involved Russian special forces units with experience in counter-terrorism operations. The Islamic Republic of Pakistan was represented by special forces units of the Ground Forces.
The joint Russian-Pakistani exercise "Friendship" is aimed at strengthening and developing military cooperation between the two countries and has been held since 2016 on the territory of Russia and Pakistan. –0–
