BEIJING, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) — Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday sent a congratulatory message to Catherine Connolly on her assumption of office as President of Ireland.
He noted that in the 46 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Ireland, the countries have jointly achieved remarkable progress in development through mutual learning and friendly cooperation.
According to the Chinese President, in recent years, the two countries have conducted close exchanges at various levels, and their practical cooperation has borne rich fruit.
