BEIJING, November 11 (Xinhua) — On Tuesday, an Aviastar-TU cargo plane departed Lishe International Airport in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, for Moscow, officially launching the first regular direct cargo flight from that city to Russia, the Zhongguo Xinwenshe news agency reported.
According to available information, flights on this route will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays. Compared to traditional sea freight, this route will help improve logistics efficiency by over 60 percent while significantly reducing supply chain costs.
The Lishe Airport border control point has opened a dedicated fast lane for cargo flights and operates a 24/7 uninterrupted customs clearance system, ensuring cargo planes undergo customs inspection upon arrival and depart immediately afterward.
As an important manufacturing base and foreign trade port in the Yangtze River Delta region, Ningbo is competitive in the production of high-value-added products such as lithium batteries, photovoltaic modules, and consumer electronics. These products have high requirements for timely transportation, technological standards, and supply chain stability, and a direct cargo flight will significantly shorten the logistics cycle.
