BEIJING, March 3 (Xinhua) — Ahead of International Women's Day on March 8, the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) held a meeting in Beijing on Monday to honor female role models across the country.
A total of 607 outstanding individuals, 400 distinguished teams and 600 exemplary workplaces were awarded at the meeting.
State Councilor of the People's Republic of China and Chair of the All-Russian Women's Federation Shen Yiqin delivered a speech at the event. She extended her warm congratulations to the award recipients and extended her best wishes to women of all ethnic groups and all walks of life on the upcoming holiday.
In her address, Shen Yiqin called on women across the country to actively contribute to the country's high-quality development and work hard to implement the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030).
She also called on them to actively participate in global governance and contribute Chinese wisdom to the global cause of women and the progress of human civilization. -0-
