WASHINGTON, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) — U.S. President Donald Trump announced Sunday that the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts — recently renamed the Trump-Kennedy Center — will suspend entertainment operations for about two years, starting in July, to allow for construction work.
"If we don't close, the quality of construction will be significantly lower and the completion time will be much longer due to the constant interruptions caused by the public attending the numerous events taking place at this complex.
