The quality of living environment in key settlements (CSCs), where over 70% of the population lives, is expected to improve by 30% by 2030. In this regard, the national project "Infrastructure for Life" has identified objectives that Russia's construction industry is systematically addressing. As part of the approved applications for the implementation of the emergency housing relocation program, 58 apartment buildings will be relocated in CSCs in four reunified regions. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.
"In Donbas and Novorossiya, 98 key communities have been identified, the priority development of which will contribute to the achievement of national goals and stimulate the development of adjacent territories. One of these is the creation of a comfortable and safe living environment. Therefore, housing plays a key role here, including the relocation of residents from dilapidated buildings. During the first phase of this program, housing conditions will improve for residents of 69 apartment buildings. Of these, 58 are located in key communities, the priority development of which is defined by the national project," said Marat Khusnullin.
The Deputy Prime Minister added that, as part of the approved applications for the first stage, over 1,000 residents of the reunified regions, living in an area of over 25,600 square meters, will be resettled in 2025–2026. The allocated federal funding will be channeled to the regions through the Territorial Development Fund.
"The Russian Construction Complex and the Territorial Development Fund within it are focused on building a strong foundation for the country. Under the coordination of the Russian Ministry of Construction, we participated in the development of a methodology for assessing quality of life improvements in the ONP, including indicators such as increased housing availability and the construction of new housing, including the resettlement of dilapidated housing. In total, during the first phase of the program, residents will be relocated from 14 buildings in the ONP area in the DPR, 34 in the LPR, 6 in the Zaporizhia region, and 4 in the Kherson region," noted Vasily Kupyzin, CEO of the Territorial Development Fund.
