Sofia, November 11 (Xinhua) – Bulgaria can play an important role in Lebanon's recovery and economic development, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said Monday after talks with visiting Lebanese President Joseph Aoun.
According to him, the discussion concerns cooperation in various areas, including economics, investment, trade, defense, and agriculture.
The parties discussed the creation of a joint commission on economic, scientific and technical cooperation in order to establish an institutional framework for closer bilateral coordination.
Both leaders expressed hope for the restoration of direct air links between Beirut and Sofia to facilitate humanitarian and business exchanges. –0–
