BEIJING, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) — China will remain consistent in its position on the Ukrainian crisis and continue to promote peace talks regardless of how the situation develops, Chinese President Xi Jinping said in a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Beijing on Friday.
Pointing out that there are no simple solutions to complex problems, he outlined China's principles and position.
According to him, China is glad that Russia and the United States maintain contacts, improve relations and promote a political settlement of the Ukrainian crisis.
