BEIJING, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) — A total of 105,000 tonnes of fruits and vegetables were exported to Mongolia through Ereenhot Port in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in the first seven months of 2025, up 17.9 percent year on year. The export value reached 196 million yuan (about 27.46 million U.S. dollars), according to data released on the website of the Ereenhot municipal government on Thursday.

More than 20 types of vegetables, such as cabbage, sweet pepper, broccoli, and over 10 types of fruits, including apples, watermelons and bananas, are supplied to the Mongolian market through the Erenhot checkpoint.

Since the opening of the “Green Corridor” for agricultural products between China and Mongolia in 2018, agricultural exports through the Erenhot checkpoint have been growing rapidly. At the same time, the range of vegetables supplied is increasing day by day, and the volume of fruit exports has increased significantly.

Ereen Customs has taken a series of measures to improve the efficiency of customs clearance, such as improving the control model, identifying the role of the interaction mechanism between customs and enterprises, and implementing intelligent control over loading and unloading. These measures have shortened the customs clearance time for agricultural products and reduced the customs inspection costs for enterprises. -0-
