Islamabad, October 8 (Xinhua) — Eleven soldiers and 19 terrorists were killed in an operation in Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Tuesday night, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistan Army's media wing, said on Wednesday.
An intelligence-driven operation was carried out in Orakzai district of the province following reports of terrorist presence, the statement said.
Security forces engaged the terrorists, killing 19 of them, ISPR said.
Eleven soldiers were also killed in the intense firefight.
