Hanoi, March 25 (Xinhua) — Vietnam's rice exports are facing challenges as tensions in the Middle East are driving up transportation costs and insurance premiums, the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reported on Wednesday.

Delivery times have increased by 10-15 days, and domestic shipping costs have increased by 20,000-30,000 Vietnamese dong (US$0.8-1.2), VNA reports, citing Nguyen Anh Son, Director of the Department of Foreign Trade at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam.

Exporters are facing container shortages and changes to shipping routes, forcing traders to revise contracts, postpone shipments, or suspend new orders, VNA reports.

According to the forecast of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of Vietnam, rice production in the country in 2026 will reach approximately 45.6 million tons, of which 7.73 million tons will be available for export. –0–

"The Summit" in the Pavilion: How Yuri Bykov's thriller was filmed at Gorky's Virtual Studio 55.8

Translation. Region: Russian Federation –

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

The striking scenes of director Yuri Bykov's new thriller "The Summit" were filmed not in the mountains, but in Moscow's "Gorky Virtual Studio 55.8", subordinate to the capital's Department of CultureMos.ru reports on the process of creating the painting.

According to the film's plot, a mysterious man, Dmitry Zorin (Artem Bystrov), arrives at a mountaineering camp. He and a group of 10 enthusiasts are tasked with ascending to the mountain's summit under the supervision of three guides (Kirill Polukhin, Andrey Smolyakov, and Ivan Fominov). On their way to the 5,200-meter peak, they face blizzards, avalanches, and extreme cold, but the main obstacle is facing their fears and past mistakes.

The location filming for "Summit" took place in the North Caucasus, including the Elbrus region, the Arkhyz ski resort, and other picturesque locations in Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia. Some crew members had to overcome their fears to achieve spectacular shots. A real barracks was even built for the shoot at an altitude of 3,300 meters above sea level.

However, filming the entire sequence in the mountains was impossible for safety reasons. Stunts are fraught with significant risk, which increases significantly in the challenging weather conditions of the high mountains. Therefore, the crew moved to Gorky Virtual Studio 55.8 in Moscow. Its soundstage is currently located in the studio recently opened by Sergei Sobyanin. studio complex Gorky Film Studios on Valdaisky Proezd.

For filming, a mock-up of a mountaineering barracks with dilapidated walls and broken windows was built on the set. Artificial snow drifting through the cracks added to the atmosphere. The virtual production team faced its own challenging task: the landscape outside the barracks window had to be photorealistic, making it impossible to imagine that the filming was taking place on a soundstage.

"We designed and installed a giant LED screen measuring 16 by seven meters. This allowed us to fully recreate the atmosphere of the highlands indoors. To ensure the audience truly believed in the reality of the event, the image was displayed in HDR format with a color depth of 10 bits—over a billion shades. This ensured a perfect tonal pattern without any jaggies in gradients," said Alexey Evdokimov, head of Gorky Virtual Studio 55.8.

The actors spent several days filming like this. Outside the barracks windows, day gave way to night, and the glow of the Milky Way gave way to a harsh blizzard. Meanwhile, the studio screen allowed the texture and volume of the snowstorm to be conveyed.

Filming has already been completed. The premiere is scheduled for 2026.

The Gorky Film Studio summed up the anniversary year and discussed its plans for the future.Sculptural compositions dedicated to the creators of the film "Seventeen Moments of Spring" have appeared in the square near the Gorky Film Studio.A woman who conquered cinema. Gorky Film Studio's immersive tours will tell the story of Tatyana Lioznova.

The Gorky Film Studio is one of the first and largest in Russia, and the oldest film studio in Moscow. More than a thousand films have been shot there, including "Seventeen Moments of Spring," "Officers," "Morozko," "…The Dawns Here Are Quiet," "Evenings on a Farm Near Dikanka," "Guest from the Future," "Moscow – Cassiopeia," "Carnival," "You Never Dreamed…," "Pirates of the 20th Century," "Three Plus Two," and many others. Today, the Gorky Film Studio is part of a large Moscow film cluster and is reviving its own film production. The production center produces feature films and documentaries, popular science series, and series for youth and children's and family audiences.

The film studio comprises two studio and production facilities with all the necessary infrastructure: the historic one on Sergei Eisenstein Street and the new complex on Valdaisky Proyezd. These facilities house filming stages, control rooms, screening rooms, a virtual production studio, a costume and props complex, digital content creation studios, and the multifunctional Gorky Hall cinema. A youth creative space, the Gorky Cinema Campus, has been created for aspiring filmmakers, and tours are available for anyone interested in the world of cinema. The film studio also hosts festivals, exhibitions, and professional events for filmmakers.

The Moscow Film Cluster comprises infrastructure facilities, services, and facilities for filmmakers, developed by the Moscow Government as part of the "Moscow – City of Cinema" project. Its structure includes the Moskino Cinema Park, the Gorky Film Studio (with locations on Sergei Eisenstein Street and Valdaisky Proyezd), the Moskino Film Factory, the Moskino cinema chain, the Moskino Film Commission, and the Moskino Film Platform.
