Why are major banks advocating for changes to call labeling regulations?

Major Russian banks are proposing a change to their approach to call labeling. The relevant requirements are outlined in a package of amendments to the "Antifraud 2.0" bill. Specifically, the proposals include:

Create an exception for mass calls made in compliance with regulatory requirements—labeling will not be required for these calls; eliminate the possibility of telecom operators obtaining unjustified economic benefits; and establish an alternative method for labeling calls—through the centralized Antifraud platform.

"This initiative doesn't stand up to scrutiny—banks are looking for a loophole to circumvent the ban on spam calls by offering to treat themselves like government agencies," T2 operator noted.

Telecom operators rejected the initiative, believing that such an approach would lead to chaos and lack of transparency in the industry. Banks were accused of trying to sell their products at any cost, even if the client had opted out of mass calls. The proposal will be considered during the second reading of the "Antifraud 2.0" bill.

Rosneft improves the accuracy of oil-saturated deposit forecasts

Specialists from Rosneft's Tyumen Research Institute have created a unique seismic facies model of the Russkoye field, which will allow for more accurate determination of oil-bearing zones during well drilling.

Extensive work to develop the model included studies of sedimentation conditions, wave field characteristics based on seismic data, and well data analysis. The model was tested in 90 wells and confirmed its high effectiveness.

This innovation provides a more detailed understanding of the geological structure of the subsurface. The model has doubled the accuracy of reservoir top location and increased the accuracy of oil-saturated thickness by a third. Implementing the model into the drilling support strategy will allow the Company to increase well potential and improve the economics of the project to develop Russia's largest high-viscosity oil field.

Rosneft has developed a new version of its geological modeling software suite.

Specialists from the Ufa Scientific Institute and the Rosneft Center for the Development and Implementation of Science-Intensive Technologies have improved the corporate software package for geological modeling, RN-GEOSIM.

RN-GEOSIM version 3.0 expands the capabilities for creating large 3D models for geological modeling of unique fields such as Priobskoye and Samotlorskoye. Furthermore, models can now include complex geological structures such as inclined faults, pinch-out zones, and displacements of rock layers.

The new version of the software package can automatically—with minimal user intervention—create models and perform their assessment, which allows for a 15% acceleration in the construction of geological models.

The economic impact of implementing RN-GEOSIM exceeds 700 million rubles annually due to the elimination of costs for the acquisition and technical support of third-party software.

RN-GEOSIM is currently building 80% of the Company's new geological models, and is transitioning to 100% implementation. By 2025, more than 180 models of the Company's fields will have been built using the software suite.

A modern cottage community will be built in the village of Zimenki in the Kommunarka district under the integrated territorial development program (ITD). The development of the vacant 7.6-hectare site will be handled by its owner. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction. Vladimir Efimov.

"The owner of a vacant plot of land in the village of Zimenki approached the city with a proposal to develop the site themselves, using their own resources. The proposal was approved, and the city signed a corresponding agreement with the investor. A modern cottage community will be built there within five years. The total area of the new individual residential buildings and infrastructure will be 21,300 square meters. The undeveloped site is located next to Filimonkovskoye Highway. The KRT project is being implemented by Specialized Developer KNK-Stroy LLC, which has entered into an agreement withDepartment of Urban Development Policy of the City of Moscow.

"The developer will allocate approximately six hectares for individual housing construction, on which it will build 90 houses with a total floor area of 19,800 square meters. Other plots will house a kindergarten for 80 children, a store, a children's play area, and parking. A convenient local street and road network will also be developed, and comprehensive landscaping will be carried out," noted the Moscow Government Minister and Head of the Department of Urban Development Policy.

WEBUYE, Kenya, March 10 (Xinhua) — At least 14 people were killed and 16 others injured in a road accident Monday evening in western Kenya, local police confirmed on Tuesday.

The accident occurred at approximately 21:45 local time /18:45 GMT/ in the Malaha area on the Webuye-Kitale highway.

According to preliminary reports, two motorcyclists collided head-on, killing both instantly. As pedestrians gathered at the scene to offer assistance, a truck traveling from Kitale to Webuye drove into the crowd. Ten people died instantly.

Four more people later died in hospital from their injuries. Sixteen of the injured remain in critical condition.

The Gorky Film Studio is the oldest film studio in the capital and one of the largest in Russia. This year, it celebrates its 111th anniversary.
