TEHRAN, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) — Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on Tuesday warned against nuclear talks with the United States under the current circumstances, saying it would not serve the Islamic Republic's national interests.

UNITED NATIONS, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) — Chinese Premier Li Qiang on Tuesday pledged to work with all parties to further implement the Global Development Initiative and accelerate the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development to boost global development.

The Premier of the State Council noted that unilateralism and protectionism are currently on the rise, which has seriously damaged international development cooperation and weakened the momentum of global economic growth.

LILONGWE, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) — Malawi's Electoral Commission is expected to announce the winner of the presidential race after the general election held on September 16.

By Monday evening, the Electoral Commission had counted and verified results in 24 of the country's 36 councils and is expected to release results in the remaining 12 councils later, allowing the winner to be officially declared.

Beijing, September 24 (Xinhua) — State Council Taiwan Affairs Office Spokesperson Chen Binhua on Wednesday expressed sorrow over the tragic loss of Taiwanese compatriots as a result of Typhoon Ragasa, which struck Taiwan.
