Gazprom-Media Holding companies held 145 events in 2025 as part of their own educational career guidance project, PROfnavigator. These events introduced 16,920 schoolchildren and students to the media industry and its professions. The leading broadcasters in terms of the number of events were GPM KIT (67); GPM RTV (15); GPM Radio (10); YAPPY (4); and NTV (3). The KIT Territory project included 34 film screenings in more than 18 regions of Russia, as well as 10 creative meetings and lectures for 10,898 schoolchildren and students across the country.

Thus, since the project’s inception, 71,265 schoolchildren and students have taken part in 743 organised events.

Videos (lectures, excursions, interviews, and school reports) on the PROfnavigator channel on the RUTUBE platform have been viewed more than 15,000 times.

Students from Moscow colleges became new partners of the PROfnavigator project in 2025. They were given the opportunity to develop practical skills in the film and media industries at Gazprom-Media Holding facilities thanks to an agreement between Russia's leading media holding and the Moscow Center for the Development of Professional Education, which unites all of the capital's colleges. More than 10 practical activities were organized for students from Film College No. 40 of the Moscow International Film School and Entrepreneurship College No. 11, including participation in television show filming, excursions, master classes, lectures, pitching of student animation projects, and more.

Also, as part of its collaboration with secondary vocational education institutions, Gazprom-Media Holding representatives served on the jury and participated in the awards ceremony for the "Profession in the Frame" student film festival. Students from 48 educational institutions across the capital participated in the competition.

The key event was the "What Influences" art school for cultural and educational projects, held in August at the Tavrida Federal Territory in Crimea. Organized jointly with the Tavrida Art Cluster, the event brought together over 100 young professionals in media, PR, and social engineering to develop communications strategies for socially significant initiatives. The "What Influences" art school served as a practical platform for generating ideas and developing concrete solutions. Participants from over 50 Russian regions worked on real-world problems from non-profit organizations during the intensive educational program, under the guidance of Gazprom-Media Holding experts. The school's main outcome was 18 completed communications projects covering a wide range of social topics: from supporting people with disabilities and promoting reading to environmental education and career guidance for young people. The best projects, selected based on the presentations, received further support from the school's organizers and partners, including the Presidential Grants Fund, Sberbank's "Contribution to the Future" program, Netology, and Beeline. This support included expert guidance, assistance in finding funding, and media promotion. A partnership with the Insight People production center enabled mentoring from experts in the blogging industry, helping the participants find innovative approaches to promoting their ideas.

In the year of celebrating the centennial anniversary of the Artek International Children’s Center, Gazprom-Media Holding congratulated the Artek residents and provided large-scale information support. One of the key events of the anniversary year was the opening of the author’s studio for the RUTUBE video platform. The studio is equipped with professional equipment for filming, editing and dubbing video. The space is intended for the creative development of young participants, where children can try themselves in the roles of bloggers, directors and screenwriters. Children will be able to create content about life in Artek, share their achievements and inspire peers from different countries. The opening of the studio is part of the Gazprom-Media Holding project “PROfnavigator”, which helps young people choose areas for development and develop professional skills for a successful start in the media industry. In addition, four master classes on producing, four creative meetings on a travel blog, and a special screening of the documentary film “Peter I. The Last Tsar and First Emperor” produced by the film company “1-2-3 Production” were held for Artek residents. The children witnessed the key events of the era of Peter I: from large-scale battle scenes at Narva and Noteburg to transformations in public life. Of particular interest were the expert comments that helped to understand the historical context. Before the start of the show, Artek residents received a special surprise – a video message from Daniil Muravyov, who played the role of young Peter I. The actor personally greeted the audience. Young viewers noted that the film gave them answers to many questions about the creation of the Russian fleet and the formation of the state. As the guys emphasized, the story of the great emperor inspires to overcome difficulties and persistently achieve goals.

A free course on radio advertising was launched by GPM Advertising in collaboration with GPM Radio as part of Gazprom-Media Holding's educational programs. This practical guide for marketers and entrepreneurs includes 11 lectures with videos, presentations, and quizzes covering the structure of the radio market, audience characteristics, creating radio commercials, evaluating effectiveness, and the interaction of radio with TV, digital, and outdoor advertising.

Gazprom-Media Holding traditionally served as the official media partner and supported the All-Russian Youth Award "SHUM"—a flagship project of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs—designed to recognize talented media professionals from across the country. Finalists in the "Energy of Youth" category were given a tour of the RUTUBE and PREMIER offices and a master class on video promotion. At the All-Russian Youth Educational Forum "SHUM," TNT presented a program from "PROfnavigator" and "Media Club," which included lectures, master classes, case studies, and a private screening of a new project. Representatives from the PR department of Gazprom-Media Television and Radio Broadcasting discussed the stages of promoting TNT projects with the participants, shared the secrets of writing creative copy, and also hosted a screening of the travel game show "Kto Kuda" (Who's Going Where) and a public talk with a creative producer. A representative of the KIT GPM participated in the development of the concept that will form the basis of the updated SHUM format for the upcoming season.

In 2025, Gazprom-Media Holding took its collaboration with higher education institutions to a new level. The holding and HSE University signed a cooperation agreement on the sidelines of the "Creative Code. Russia" forum. The partnership includes the development of educational programs and specialized modules focused on the real needs of creative industries, with the participation of Holding specialists, as well as the organization of internships for students from the HSE Faculty of Creative Industries at Gazprom-Media Holding companies.

The Holding continues its systematic work to integrate educational programs in the regions. As part of a media tour of RUTUBE and PREMIER assets in historical territories, representatives of the Holding's companies met with students from local universities, presented the "Bloggers' Academy" educational course, and discussed plans to open new author studios. GPM RTV experts conducted lectures and master classes for students from the Ural Federal University, the Yekaterinburg Humanitarian University, Irkutsk State University, Omsk State Technical University, Far Eastern Federal University, Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University, HSE – St. Petersburg, Kuban State University, Tomsk State University, and Nizhny Novgorod State University. Lobachevsky, and others. During the meetings, the experts introduced students to PR tools for social media promotion, case studies on promoting the holding's TV channel projects while taking regional specifics into account, examples of how to make any project visible in the media, how to start a career in media, the specifics of TNT's operations, the full project promotion cycle: from promotional activities and marketing strategies to PR support, working with television celebrities, trends and conditions in the modern media environment, methods for developing creativity, and more.

Active collaboration with Moscow universities also continued. Experts from Gazprom-Media Holding and its companies conducted lectures, seminars, master classes, and meetings with students from the Presidential Academy of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, State University of Management, Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, State Institute of Radio and Television, Russian State University for the Humanities, Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), Moscow State University, and other universities. Partnerships with universities are aimed at creating innovative curricula, implementing educational projects, and developing the international presence of Russian media education. Key initiatives for the year encompass both domestic market development and the export of educational technologies. In December 2025, a Gazprom-Media Holding delegation led by CEO Alexander Zharov held a working meeting at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics branch in the United Arab Emirates. The parties agreed to jointly develop new educational programs in creative industries, tailored to the Middle East. This project aims not only to train highly qualified personnel for the media sector but also to strengthen the position of Russian education and its cultural influence abroad.

At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2025), an agreement was signed with the participation of the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the National Priorities NGO to create the country's first educational platform for prospective students. The platform is being developed based on a documentary project by the NTV channel and will serve as a single access point for information about leading Russian universities, their academic achievements, and student life. The goal is to popularize science and increase trust in Russian higher education among young people.

On September 5, 2025, NTV aired the premiere episode of the sixth season of the documentary project "My Universities. The Future is in the Present." This socially significant project explores the country's professions and leading educational institutions, as well as the limitless opportunities in the education market, to help teenagers decide where to study after high school.

This season, 16 episodes aired, in which the hosts introduced viewers to such universities as the Buryat State Agricultural Academy named after V.R. Filippov, the South-Russian State Polytechnical University named after Platov, Amur State University, Yaroslavl State Technical University, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, Grozny State Petroleum Technological University named after Academician M.D. Millionshchikov, Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Gazprom-Media Holding acted as a media partner for the All-Russian Movement of the First project, "Media Attraction," which introduces schoolchildren, students, and teachers to the world of media professions. Gazprom-Media Holding's companies, PREMIER online cinema, and Children's Radio served on the jury and awarded the winners of the "Media Attraction" project. As part of the Movement of the First projects, "Media Attraction" and "Behind the Scenes Media," participants were introduced to GPM KIT, Children's Radio, and the publishing house of "7Dney" and "Karavan Istoiy" magazines. Company representatives conducted tours and participated in a video report with the hosts of the Movement of the First.

GPM Radio experts evaluated youth projects in the "KreativFM" creative competition.

Students presented their concepts at a pitching session held at HSE University. The jury included Yulia Andryushova, Director of the Business Communications and Analytics Department at GPM Radio, GPM Advertising expert, and co-chair of the AKAR Radio Committee, as well as Nikita Savinykh, producer of Humor FM. Particular attention was paid to patriotic education of young people. NTV correspondent Alexey Ivliev participated in the 1st All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Modern Media: Meaningful Strategies and Personnel Training," where he spoke about the work of war correspondents on the front lines and emphasized that a journalist should always be a patriot of their country. Speaking about the connection between patriotism and journalism, the correspondent emphasized that, regardless of the topic, a journalist should love their homeland. During the conference, Alexey Ivliev also met with students from the HSE Faculty of Creative Industries' Institute of Media.

Media Press launched the project "Our Heroes. Meetings on the Rowing Boat" about SVO participants and volunteers. "Our Heroes. Over 150 children and accompanying adults from the liberated territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, as well as the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions, celebrated Children's Day at the Children's Radio Disco in the Kremlin Palace. They not only had the opportunity to attend a concert featuring their favorite artists and sing along, but also to see the Russian capital and the grandeur of the Kremlin. The event not only facilitated the integration of new regions into the national cultural space of Russia but, as the accompanying adults noted, was one of the most memorable experiences of the children's lives.

As part of the KIT Territory project, film screenings of cartoons by the YARKO animation company, including "Uletnaya Deliverash" (Awesome Delivery), "Shushumagia" (Shushumagia), the films "The Bremen Town Musicians", "Catherine the Great", "One Hundred Years Ahead" (A Hundred Years Ahead), the films about cosmonaut Alexei Leonov "My Destiny – I Myself!" She also held motivational meetings with the "eagles" of the anniversary session—boys and girls from all regions of Russia, South Ossetia, Belarus, and the Republic of Srpska.

Students and pupils of media classes visited the filming of the show “Mask”, “Show Avatar” and the musical project “NTV Apartment House at Margulis”. At the “Mask” show, the guys found themselves behind the scenes of the project and saw how the channel’s flagship project was created: they learned how the filming process works from the inside, went into the sound and director’s studio, looked at the original costumes of the show’s participants, visited the dressing rooms, and also went on stage and walked the path of a “Mask” participant. After the excursion, the guys settled down in the auditorium and witnessed one of the semi-finals of the sixth season of the show. On the set of the musical project “NTV Apartment House at Margulis”, the guys met the presenter Evgeny Margulis, learned how one of the most intimate and atmospheric television projects is created and, of course, became spectators of an episode with the popular group “Three Days of Rain”. Behind the scenes of the high-tech “Avatar Show,” the guys learned how the filming process of an incredible show works, in which the stars control fantastic digital avatars in real time from a special room, and only their voice, movements and emotions can give them away. Participants visited a sound engineering studio and a separate closed studio where digital avatars of the show’s characters are created, and where the participants themselves put on sensors and glasses. The guys also went on the main stage and took pictures near the jury chairs. This allowed the guys to better understand the specifics of working on television. After the excursion, the guys took their seats in the auditorium and watched the second episode of the fourth season of the show.

One of the formats for educational and outreach activities is intellectual games. In 2025, under the leadership of Alexey Blinov, General Director of Media Press, approximately 10 intellectual games were held. For example, in St. Petersburg, the "Battle of Intellects. First" game was held, where schoolchildren competed in erudition, logic, and teamwork. The format, tasks, and questions for the game were developed by volunteers from the "Movement of Firsts" in collaboration with the Innovative Center for Game-Technical Practices at the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia. The event was hosted by Alexey Blinov, General Director of Media Press. The game helped participants develop skills in teamwork, leadership, and quick decision-making. Participants of the "Media Class in a Moscow School" program participated in an intellectual game based on the film "Alice in Wonderland," hosted by two-time Crystal Owl winner Alexey Blinov.

On the eve of the New Year, students from the Faculty of Architecture of St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering took part in the IX International Competition "Create an Exhibit for the Hermitage."

The competition continues the long-standing tradition of creating handmade New Year's and Christmas decorations. This year, the competition was held under the motto "Beauty in Detail" and was dedicated to the anniversaries of three St. Petersburg architects: Bartolomeo Francesco Rastrelli, Domenico Trezzini, and Carlo Ivanovich Rossi.

35 of our students designed and created amazing "architectural" Christmas tree decorations using a variety of techniques!

Anastasia Kolechkova, a third-year student in the Department of Architectural Environment Design (DAS), made it to the finals and shortlisted for the competition. In her work "Azure Lace," crafted using beadwork, Anastasia depicted the bell tower of Smolny Cathedral by F.B. Rastrelli. "The famous combination of sky-blue and snow-white is a fresh, pure, yet luxurious contrast that can be used in design, which is exactly what I did in this Christmas tree ornament," the artist explained.

At the awards ceremony held on December 22 at the General Staff Building, Anastasia was presented with a diploma and a commemorative gift for second place among students from architecture and art universities in the Odnoklassniki social network nomination.

Second-year students from the Faculty of Architecture created their toys under the guidance of Svetlana Feofanova, senior lecturer in the Department of Architectural Environmental Design, as part of an assignment in the "Volumetric and Spatial Composition" course. The resulting works were very atmospheric, and all of them decorated the State Hermitage Museum's Christmas trees.

What are the SDGs and how does RUDN University help achieve them?

Translation. Region: Russian Federation –

Source: Peoples'Friendship University of Russia

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

Imagine a world where everyone has enough food, clean water, access to education, and decent work. A world where nature is protected and the future of our planet is cared for. These are the Sustainable Development Goals—building a sustainable future for everyone! To this end, the United Nations (UN) identified 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2015. The SDGs are a global plan that helps countries and people move together toward a better future. All 193 UN member states have signed up to them.

The goals are: no poverty and hunger, good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, decent work and economic growth, industrialization, innovation and infrastructure, reduced inequalities, sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption and production, climate action, life on land and marine ecosystems, peace, justice and strong institutions, and partnerships for sustainable development.

Our university is the leader among all 752 Russian universities in terms of its contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Strategy. In 2024, RUDN University ranked second and was included in the top five universities in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) for sustainable development management, according to a study by the National Rating Agency. In the Times Higher Education Impact global ranking, we are ranked first in Russia for two SDGs: "Quality Education" and "Gender Equality." We are also among the top five universities in the country for nine more SDGs. Furthermore, we were one of seven Russian universities included in the inaugural RAEX Sustainable Development Ranking. Our university was awarded the AA rating, demonstrating a very high level of work in this area.

The greenest

RUDN University takes environmental stewardship seriously. We rightfully rank first among Russian universities and 22nd globally in the UI GreenMetric ranking, earning the title of "greenest." RUDN University was the first in the country to receive accreditation for the verification of carbon reporting, climate projects, and carbon footprints, as well as the validation of climate projects across 27 economic activities. Since 2017, the university has been implementing a project to measure the environmental situation on campus and around the university, monitoring the air, soil, and vegetation year-round.

RUDN University has transitioned to energy-saving technologies. 100% of its buildings have undergone energy audits. The university has implemented measures to reduce heat and water consumption costs, resulting in a 24,000 cubic meter reduction in water consumption in 2024 compared to 2023. The university has also implemented a waste separation system and recycles approximately 3,000 tons of waste annually.

RUDN University staff and students are also making a contribution and actively participating in wastepaper collection. In 2023, over 30 tons of paper were collected, in 2024 – over 37, and in 2025 – approximately 37 tons. This translates to 17-20 saved mature trees and 20,000-50,000 liters of saved water.

In 2025, scientists from the RUDN University Institute of Ecology developed the university's first standard for determining environmental indicators for sustainable development.

Current research

Over the past year, RUDN University researchers have published over 1,930 publications on the SDGs, most of which are on medicine. Over 600 articles are devoted to SDG 3, "Good Health and Well-Being."

For example, the research of the medical institute's scientists—Doctors of Medical Sciences Timur Fatkhudinov and Andrey Elchaninov, and Candidate of Medical Sciences Andrey Makarov—covers cell biology, inflammation, regeneration, and oncogenesis, as well as the development of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in molecular and cellular medicine. The research team has developed a prototype biomedical cell product for immunocellular therapy, aimed at improving the effectiveness of treating socially significant diseases, including cancer. The scientists obtained results in in vitro and in vivo disease models confirming the potential of macrophages in tumor therapy: the resulting native and polarized macrophages can be used both as a therapeutic agent and as an agent for delivering antitumor drugs to the tumor site.

But it's not just research that helps RUDN University achieve SDG-3. The university runs the "Healthy Student, Healthy Employee" program, which provides employees with free health screenings from men's and women's health specialists. And starting this year, they can also take a free course of 10 consultations with a psychologist. This is how the university cares about the health of its students and staff.

Returning to research, another popular area is SDG 2 (zero hunger). RUDN University scientists published 220 publications on this topic in 2024. For example, one study by the Institute of Ecology is devoted to the development of innovative methods in plant growing based on artificial intelligence. The scientists succeeded in developing innovative models that predict plant damage by fungal diseases based on spectral reflectance data and laboratory analysis of leaves. The models are based on machine learning algorithms and can accurately determine the extent of infestation using images obtained from drones or satellites. This approach will allow agronomists to proactively identify disease outbreaks, save time and money, and apply fungicides only where truly necessary. This will reduce environmental impacts and improve production efficiency. Furthermore, the developed technologies can be integrated into smart monitoring systems that integrate satellite data, on-site sensors, and precision farming software solutions.

Quality of education

RUDN University has also made significant progress in achieving SDG 4, "Quality Education." The university offers over 800 educational programs, including those focused on SDG topics such as "Food Security," "Energy and Resource-Saving Processes in Chemical Engineering," "Expertise in Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development," "Discrimination and Gender Issues in Modern International Law," and others.

Our students study 14 languages. Seventy-two programs at the university are taught in English, French, Chinese, and Spanish. Joint master's programs and other projects are being implemented with Sber, Alfa-Bank, X5, and other strategic partners. RUDN University has over 250 cooperation agreements with international universities and research centers, and 176 joint international educational programs. Academic exchanges, internships, and scientific collaborations—the university's international activities are widespread. SDG 4 is also a research focus for RUDN University researchers. Last year, over 120 scientific articles were published on this topic, and over 20 R&D projects were completed.

Digitalization also plays a significant role in ensuring the quality and accessibility of education. RUDN University has a digital preparatory faculty, thanks to which thousands of international students have learned Russian and prepared for admission to Russian universities. Furthermore, the university has its own Multifunctional Center, which provides over 95 services—from dormitory rental agreements to registering international students for migration purposes and visa extensions. The university's mobile app includes essential student features such as student ID cards, personal progress reports, class schedules, and electronic grade books. Faculty also benefit from convenient electronic transcripts and an electronic attendance and grade book.

Over 200 laboratories operate at the university to conduct various experiments, conduct research, and prepare scientific publications. These include a VR lab at the Engineering Academy, where students can work with modern 3D projects in mechanical engineering, architecture, mining, and transportation, as well as prepare and defend their term papers and final theses with visual presentations of their work in a fully immersive virtual environment. Furthermore, over 1,300 companies collaborate with RUDN University on graduate employment opportunities. Students have numerous opportunities to complete internships at public and government organizations, industrial enterprises, and public and private clinics. These opportunities also include preparing final theses on real-world projects and company challenges, with the potential for subsequent employment.

Our university rightfully occupies a vanguard position in the global educational and scientific arena. RUDN's contribution to achieving the SDGs is, without exaggeration, endless. These aren't just words, but real achievements, confirmed by international experts.

Incidentally, it has become a good tradition to hold the International Scientific Conference "For Sustainable Development of Civilization: Cooperation, Science, Education, and Technology" annually in November at RUDN University. The conference serves as a platform for exchanging experiences and developing practical solutions for achieving the SDGs.

The main theme of 2025 is the achievement of 17 sustainable development goals by CIS member states by 2030.

In 2025, many visitors to the IAEA website were attracted by our scientific and technical materials on the use of nuclear energy, as well as nuclear science and technology.

1. Deepening understanding of nuclear energy

In 2025, one of the most popular materials on the IAEA website was the article "What is nuclear energy?"From it, readers learned how, thanks to the splitting of atoms, it is possible to generate environmentally friendly energy without greenhouse gas emissions.

Most nuclear reactors currently in operation use uranium as fuel. Read the article "What is uranium?", which will help you learn how uranium is mined and processed and why an amount of uranium fuel the size of a chicken egg produces as much energy as 88 tons of coal.

2. Progress in nuclear technology

The use of small modular reactors (SMRs) as a means of powering data centers for artificial intelligence systems is a topic of much discussion, and an article exploring this and other types of advanced nuclear reactors has become one of the most read stories of 2025.

In the article "What are molten salt reactors?" It discusses how passive safety systems in these types of reactors can improve the safety of nuclear power plants and how such reactors are designed to accommodate new types of fuel, in particular thorium.

3. Thermonuclear fusion: one step closer?

Nuclear fusion continues to be seen as a key energy goal, offering a potentially inexhaustible source of clean, greenhouse-gas-free energy. In 2025, the article "What is nuclear fusion?" remained among the site's most-read materials. From this article, readers learned about the development of nuclear fusion worldwide, as well as its differences from the nuclear fission reaction used in traditional reactors.

4. Peaceful applications outside the energy sector

Beyond energy, the IAEA helps countries harness the benefits of nuclear science and technology in medicine, agriculture, and food. In our material about isotopes explains how scientists use isotopes to determine the age and quality of water resources around the world and track environmental pollution. material on radiopharmaceuticals The discussion focuses on how radioisotopes can be used to treat or diagnose cancer and cardiovascular diseases. material about cyclotrons Explains how these important radioisotopes are produced.

In the IAEA materials dedicated to food irradiation and the role of nuclear methods in the fight against soil erosion, explains how nuclear techniques can also help improve food security and agricultural sustainability.

5. Nuclear safety and security

Nuclear safety and security are among the IAEA's most important areas of work. They enable people to benefit from nuclear technology and protect themselves and the environment from the harmful effects of ionizing radiation. In 2025, the material "What is radiation?" Readers learned about the different types of radiation and its uses in healthcare, energy, agriculture, and industry, as well as safety measures that can protect people from the harmful effects of ionizing radiation.

Those who want to explore this issue in more depth will be interested in the material about universal symbol for ionizing radiation (in English). It explains how international standardization helps raise public awareness of the risks associated with ionizing radiation, thereby reducing the risk of accidental exposure.

6. A two-billion-year-old nuclear reactor

Finally, the story of Oklo, a natural nuclear reactor in Gabon, captured the imagination of many readers. The article describes how, long before the first dinosaurs appeared, natural nuclear reactions occurred in uranium deposits in western Equatorial Africa. Read more about this in the article. Oklo, the only known natural nuclear reactor on Earth, is two billion years old..

The demand for these materials demonstrates the world's commitment to exploring nuclear science and technology to reap its benefits in areas such as clean energy, improved human health, agricultural development, innovation, and many other fields.
