JERUSALEM, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) — Chinese automaker Xpeng Motors on Sunday launched a network of ultra-fast charging stations across Israel.

The establishment of the network was announced in the central Israeli city of Rishon LeZion in collaboration with Freesbe, the official importer of Xpeng in Israel, in the presence of Xpeng Motors Chairman He Xiaopeng and Israeli Energy Minister Eli Cohen.

Equipped with high-power chargers from Star Charge, China's leading EV charging infrastructure company, the stations use intelligent dynamic power management technology to precisely match vehicle requirements and charging capabilities.

The network of ultra-fast charging stations will be available for all brands of electric vehicles and will provide fast charging from 10 to 80 percent in less than 20 minutes.

Xpeng currently offers the G6 and G9 mid-size crossovers and the P7 executive sedan in Israel.

Between January and August this year, Xpeng ranked second in electric vehicle sales in Israel, selling 5,076 units, just behind Chinese manufacturer BYD Auto, which sold 5,912 units in the country during the same period. –0–

BEIJING, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) — The added value of output of China's large industrial enterprises increased 5.2 percent year on year in August 2025, data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) showed Monday.

Let us recall that in July this figure increased by 5.7 percent year-on-year.

Overall, in January-August 2025, the added value of products of the above-mentioned enterprises in the country increased by 6.2 percent year-on-year, the department reported.

Industrial added value in China is used to measure the output of large industrial enterprises with annual revenue from main business activities of 20 million yuan (about 2.8 million US dollars) or more.

According to the State Statistical Office, last month the added value created by enterprises in the manufacturing industry grew by 5.7 percent year-on-year, and in the extractive industry by 5.1 percent. XINING, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) — China's National Cultural Heritage Administration announced Monday that it has discovered an engraved stone on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, which is the only one of its kind known to have been preserved in its original location and located at the highest altitude in history from the Qin Dynasty (221-207 B.C.).

The stone is located on the northern shore of Lake Gyaring-Tso in Mado County, Qinghai Province, Northwest China, at an altitude of about 4,300 meters above sea level.

NEW DELHI, Sept. 14 (Xinhua) — At least seven people from one family were killed in India's western Rajasthan state when their car fell into a deep drain, a local police officer confirmed by phone on Sunday.

The incident occurred late on September 13 in the state capital of Jaipur. Among the dead were two children and two women. The victims of the road accident were returning from a religious trip to the state of Uttar Pradesh in northern India.

Kyiv, Sept. 14 (Xinhua) — Ukraine launched an attack on the Kirishi Oil Refinery in Russia's Leningrad Region on Sunday night, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) reported on Telegram.

The Kirishi Oil Refinery is one of the largest oil refineries in the Russian Federation. It produces about 80 types of oil products, including motor gasoline, diesel, and aviation fuel, and, according to the Ukrainian side, is involved in meeting the needs of the Russian army.
