Financial news: Corporate lending and mortgages continued to grow rapidly in November.

Bank lending to companies (including bonds) increased by 1.9% in November (2.5% in October), with large government and commercial organizations accounting for about a third of the increase. Companies continued to demonstrate increased demand for loans amid a gradual recovery in economic activity amid monetary easing.

Household mortgage debt increased by 1.4% in November, following a 1.2% increase in October. High growth at the end of the year is typical for the mortgage segment. Moreover, government-backed loans accounted for approximately 80% of all issued loans.

According to preliminary data, the consumer loan portfolio continued to shrink (-0.7% after -0.4% in October), mainly in the cash loan segment.

The growth of client funds slowed slightly in November, to 1.2% (1.6% in October). The volume of household funds remained virtually unchanged after a significant increase in October (1.6%), partly due to the advance payment of November social benefits. The growth of corporate funds accelerated to 2.6% (1.7% in October), driven by deposits into ruble accounts, including those of oil and gas companies.

The sector's net profit for November amounted to 394 billion rubles (310 billion rubles the previous month), with this growth driven primarily by non-core revenues. Balance sheet capital increased by 421 billion rubles, exceeding earned profit due to the positive revaluation of securities, which is reflected directly in equity.

Vernissage of Ideas: The All-Russian Project Festival has concluded at the State University of Management.

The 2nd All-Russian Interuniversity Project Festival "Project Path: From Idea to Lessons Learned" concluded at the State University of Management from December 1 to 21.

A special intensive workshop on project preparation for presentation to stakeholders and potential investors was organized for the university's top project teams. The event partnered with IPI-Lab LLC, which represents StartupChain, a digital ecosystem for startup founders. The authors of over 25 projects of various types and focus areas—research, social, consulting, and business projects—worked through their presentations with experts.

In addition, all participants took part in a public speaking training session, where they used various interactive exercises to practice proper breathing, tempo and clarity of speech, stage movement, and learned other secrets of successful presentations.

Following the training, the teams presented their projects to a panel of experts consisting of representatives from various SUM institutes and invited experts.

Maria Ancheeva, an expert with over 20 years of experience in sales, presales, and project management in IT and systems integration, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech: "Stepping onto the stage, presenting your idea for the first time, and defending it in front of the jury is already a major victory over yourself and a powerful start. You did an excellent job for your first time, and this experience is your most valuable asset today. The future is yours, you can do it!"

Oleg Melnik, Deputy General Director of DEFAN LLC and a professional project manager with experience in various applied fields, from medicine to quantum technologies, also offered helpful advice to the students: "There are no ideal conditions for a project. The best solutions come from those who have encountered the problem themselves and can't ignore it. If your project doesn't solve a problem that truly concerns you, find another topic. Don't be afraid of unconventional approaches. Analyze failures. Keep working."

The best projects were chosen:

Best Project Presentation – EcoElement, Institute of Marketing; Best Business Project Presentation – LessonLab, Institute of Economics and Finance; Best Consulting Project Presentation – Development of a Telegram Consultant Bot for Equipment Selection, Institute of Information Systems; Best Social Project Presentation – Psychology Club: The Path to Professional Mastery and Self-Development, Institute of Public Administration and Law; Best Research Project Presentation – Economic Efficiency of Using Drones in the Agricultural Sector, Institute of Information Systems; Best Speaker – Dmitry Kamchatov, Institute of Economics and Finance.

Anastasia Lobacheva, Director of the SUM Project Office, emphasized: "The project presentation is an important final stage of project development. It determines how the project will be understood and accepted outside the university, and at least at the university, when it is presented to the committees. It's not enough to create a good project on a relevant topic; it's important to be able to communicate it effectively. Opportunities to practice this are relevant for students of all years and programs. Such events are a wonderful opportunity to exchange experiences, see what projects are out there, and be inspired by the experience of colleagues from other institutions."

The student participants also highly praised the event. LessonLab team leader Veronica noted that after interacting with the experts, the team received helpful advice on how to improve the project.

The second All-Russian Interuniversity Project Festival, "The Project Path: From Idea to Lessons Learned," with the support of the Interregional Educational and Methodological Center for Project-Based Learning, "Project-Based Learning as a Practical Training Technology," held at the State University of Management, also included:

All-Russian Round Table of the RUMTS Network "Project-Based Learning as a Key Element of the Inclusive Higher Education System" All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Sustainable Management: Projects, People, Research" Demo Day of the "Spectrum of Innovations" Accelerator Round Table "Service Learning: Integration into the University's Project Work" Federal In-Person Stage of the III All-Russian Competition for Children and Youth "Young House Manager – Creator of a Favorable Living Environment".

The State University thanks all participants and looks forward to seeing you again at next year's project festival.

Ten percent off takeoff costs: Sheremetyevo rewrites airline bills.

Translation. Region: Russian Federation –

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

Starting January 1, 2026, base fees for Russian carriers at Sheremetyevo will increase by 10%, and for foreign carriers by 3%. This is the second increase in a year.

Effective January 1, 2026, Sheremetyevo Airport will increase its airport fees. The increase will be 10% for Russian airlines and 3% for foreign carriers. This is the second increase in a year for the country's key airport, which will inevitably impact transportation costs amid rising infrastructure costs in the industry.

The basic takeoff and landing fee for domestic airlines will increase from 768.5 to 845.36 rubles per tonne of aircraft. The investment component will increase from 373.8 to 411.18 rubles. The transport security fee will also increase from 38.36 to 42.2 rubles. Passenger fees will be significantly revised. For example, the terminal fee for domestic flights in Terminals B and D will be 326.44 rubles per person, up from the previous 296.76 rubles. On international flights, service in Terminals B, C, and D will increase from 810.16 to 891.18 rubles, and in Terminals E and F, from 239.56 to 263.52 rubles. The basic fare for domestic passenger services on B and D will increase to 333.6 rubles, on C, D, E – to 368.5 rubles, on F – to 342.3 rubles.

For foreign carriers, the takeoff and landing fee will increase from $16.96 to $17.47. The transportation security fee will be $1.45 instead of $1.40. The fee for using Terminals B, C, and D will increase from $20.32 to $20.93 per passenger, and for Terminals E and F, from $12.18 to $12.55.

This decision by Sheremetyevo continues the trend of increasing infrastructure burden on airlines at the Moscow air hub. Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo already raised their fares in March 2025. Domodedovo adjusted its fees twice – in March and partially in July of this year.

As a reminder, Novaport Holding plans to attract 60 billion rubles in extra-budgetary funds for the reconstruction of 13 of its airports. This is more than half of the total extra-budgetary investment required for public-private partnership projects, which is estimated at 104 billion rubles. LR

Dear friends,

Start the new year with an amazing trip that will not only allow you to visit all of Egypt's iconic sights—from the ancient temples of Luxor to the majestic Aswan Dam—but also enjoy a beach holiday at an all-inclusive hotel in Hurghada.

On a single New Year's trip with our general partner, the cruise company "Sozvezdie," you'll take two cruises: along the popular stretch of the Nile—from Luxor to Aswan—on the Jaz Al Qassida, and a rare cruise—from Aswan to Abu Simbel on the Omar El Khayam.

Additionally, anyone can purchase a one-day post-cruise program in Cairo with accommodation in a 5-star hotel, breakfast, and airport transfer.

Cruise tour dates:

Egypt cruises are another interesting feature of the "Discovering the World with Sozvezdie" project:

An all-inclusive package tour with a maximum of services – a cruise, accommodation at a 4-star hotel in Hurghada, a full excursion program, domestic flights and comfortable transfers, tips, medical insurance, and visa support (if necessary); a rich pre- or post-cruise program – the opportunity to spend 2 days on the Red Sea or purchase an additional program in Cairo with accommodation at a 5-star hotel; support, care, and attention from the group leader and accompanying staff from Sozvezdie throughout the entire route, assistance with any questions on board; fully Russian-language service – an information chat with pre-cruise preparation, excursions with Russian-speaking guides, an onboard newspaper, and a daily program in Russian.

During a 9 or 11 day cruise tour you will visit:

Cairo is the capital of Egypt, where oriental bazaars and the bustle of modern city life create a striking contrast. Hurghada is the main resort on the Red Sea, a great place for a family vacation, diving, or fun beach parties. Luxor is an open-air museum housing about a third of all ancient Egyptian monuments, including legendary temples, pharaonic tombs, and colossal statues. Aswan is the perfect place to experience the rhythm of the great river. Here you'll find the majestic Aswan Dam, the romantic Philae Temple of the goddess Isis, and a true oasis on the Nile—a picturesque botanical garden. Edfu is the best-preserved temple of ancient Egypt, dedicated to the god Horus, patron of the pharaohs' power. Kom Ombo is an architectural phenomenon: a double temple dedicated to the gods Sobek and Horus. Its terraces offer stunning views of the Nile. New Kalabsha is an open-air museum where several ancient Nubian temples were assembled to protect them from the waters of Lake Nasser during the construction of the Aswan High Dam. Wadi el-Sebouya is a complex of ancient Egyptian temples on the western shore of Lake Nasser, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Amadou is the oldest of the Nubian temples, with remarkably well-preserved reliefs and vibrant colors. Abu Simbel is one of the most famous and majestic monuments of Ancient Egypt, consisting of two rock-cut temples carved by Pharaoh Ramesses II in the 13th century BC.

About the ships Jaz Al Qassida and Omar El Khayam:

During the cruises, the Jaz Al Qassida and Omar El Khayam cruise ships will be exclusively available to guests of Sozvezdie Cruise Line. SEOUL, Dec. 24 (Xinhua) — The Republic of Korea's special prosecutor on Wednesday indicted former President Yoon Seok-yul on charges of violating the campaign finance law.

Special Prosecutor Min Joon-gi's team, which is investigating corruption allegations involving Yun Seok-yul and his wife, stated in a statement that the former president violated the campaign finance law by colluding with his wife, Kim Geon-hee. According to investigators, free public opinion polls were conducted on behalf of the former presidential couple between June 2021 and March 2022. The cost of these polls amounted to approximately 270 million won (US$185,630).

Myung Tae-kyun, who calls himself a "political broker," was accused of providing free opinion polls to Yun Seok-yul and his wife without detention.

On April 4, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Korea upheld the impeachment petition against Yun Seok-yul over his failed attempt to impose martial law last December, formally removing him from office.
