For the tenth time, the Rossiya Segodnya International News Agency (RIA Novosti, Social Navigator project) has awarded the project the status of the absolute leader in the rating of children's New Year's performances in Moscow for 2025/2026. The mission of KinoYolka at Mosfilm is to popularize Russian cinema among children and young people.

On December 20, Mosfilm began showing its traditional New Year's show, which this holiday season is called "To the Stars! Mission: Snowmen in Space." Aimed at family audiences, the project commemorates two events: the 130th anniversary of the first film screening in Russia and the 65th anniversary of the first human spaceflight.

In the 2025-2026 season, the New Year's show, following a well-deserved tradition, will occupy two film studios. The historic Pavilion 1, where "Spring," "War and Peace," and the television show "Blue Light" were filmed, and where the annual Golden Eagle National Film Awards ceremony is held, features a stage with the show's sets and a comfortable auditorium. The adjacent pavilion houses a cozy Christmas film village, offering a variety of workshops for children and adults, a rich animation program, and décor made from 200,000 LEDs.

Renowned costume designer Natalia Moneva designed and sewed sumptuous costumes especially for the show, recorded orchestral music, and Mosfilm-Decorstroy specialists created extensive sets—including a real rocket for the Snowmen's flight into space, so essential to fulfilling all children's dreams. The project has already run for 12 seasons, during which the show's organizers have managed to create an original Russian product. And this time, they managed to avoid borrowing any foreign franchises or characters!

The project's creators are particularly proud of its strong cast. When selecting actors for the current season, they reviewed over 2,000 acting resumes, selecting 30 professional performers. Honored Artist of Russia Stanislav Duzhnikov and Dmitry Khrustalev will join the stellar cast of young talents. The renowned actors will take part in video episodes of the play, integrated into the interactive scenes. Most importantly, both actors oversee the project's important charitable component. Dmitry invites the Yulia Peresild Foundation's wards, "Galchonok," to the Mosfilm show. Stanislav invites children whose parents are fighting in the North Military District.

"This year, Stanislav Duzhnikov is organizing a visit for a large group of children from Saransk. Together with the Mordovian government, the children are provided with transportation to Moscow, and we invite them to the performance. The group of 100 will include children of SVO participants. Overall, thousands of children and their parents attend our performance every year on a pro bono basis," Tatyana Gavrilova, the show's producer and director, told Mosfilm.ru.

The creators of this captivating interactive multimedia musical center on Father Frost's helpers, who are about to embark on a journey into space in search of a magical star that grants wishes for everyone in the world. And, as only true fairy tales do, at the crucial moment, something completely unpredictable happens…

The show is brimming with special effects—laser graphics, smoke, confetti, an electronic background control system, and large-scale LED screens, as well as Russia's only system for individual sound positioning in the auditorium! Konstantin Pavlyuchenko, the project's technical producer since its inception, has 20 years of experience working on large-scale national and international events. Tatyana Gavrilova, the show's producer and director, has created and curated projects in Russia and abroad (including the Opening Ceremony of the World Athletics Championships, the "Orthodox Rus'" Exhibition and Forum, the Expo in Lisbon, the New Year's Tree at the Olympic Sports Complex, and the Olympic Flame Reception in Moscow, among others).

"This is our most high-tech production in years! In terms of the scale of the special effects and equipment used, we're approaching the level of a major rock concert—and any rock star would probably envy such technical equipment! The laser show, flying characters, and objects "hovering" on stage—all of this creates a captivating experience! We have a large number of guests, including celebrities. It's gratifying that so many famous audience members buy tickets, trusting our New Year's brand. We are incredibly proud of our troupe. As children say: our Father Frost is the real deal! This is probably the secret to those happy, shining eyes we see in audience members as they leave. This project is our pride. So in this sense, we're upholding the Mosfilm banner and creating something worth seeing with your own eyes," noted the show's producer and director, Tatyana Gavrilova.

In addition to the show itself, filled with film quotes and interesting facts from the history of cinema, viewers will be able to see an exhibition of Mosfilm film awards, a display of movie cameras, the original costumes of Gaidai's trio, a photo exhibition from the set of Mosfilm films, installations based on famous films, and learn a lot about the magical world of cinema. Those interested can combine their visit to the Mosfilm Museum with a tour of the film studio (advance booking required).

The convenient logistics and security measures for guests of the show are especially noteworthy. Clear and easy-to-understand signage throughout the film studio grounds allows guests to reach the pavilions in just a few minutes. Volunteers greet adults and children, and a cloakroom is available. A large paid parking lot is also available for spectators on Mosfilmovskaya Street, opposite the Mosfilm Gallery building (Mosfilmovskaya Street, Buildings 18 and 20 – a special sign has been installed!). To ensure anti-terrorism and fire safety, the Security Service and the Fire and Emergency Prevention Department of Mosfilm Film Concern are on duty 24/7, along with personnel from the 28th separate post of the 28th specialized unit for extinguishing large fires of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. Additionally, public order is maintained by officers of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, canine inspectors, and representatives of a private security company. Medical personnel are also on duty at all times.

The show "To the Stars! Mission: Snowmen in Space" runs through January 8th. Don't miss the opportunity to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of true New Year's magic! Tickets for official website of the show.

Dmitry Grigorenko: The IT industry's share of tax revenue is growing twice as fast as the economy as a whole.

The IT industry is cementing its role as a key driver of the economy and a source of budget revenue. The share of IT taxes in total tax revenue is increasing (to 4.6%), and payments themselves are growing almost twice as fast as the economy as a whole (29% versus 15%). Furthermore, the IT industry is growing in other indicators, such as investment volume, the share of employees in the industry, and revenue. This is evidenced by the results of IT industry monitoring for the first three quarters of 2025. The monitoring is conducted quarterly by the ANO "Digital Economy" at the request of Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of the Government Staff Dmitry Grigorenko. For the purposes of this methodology, the IT industry is defined as the set of organizations included in the register of accredited organizations operating in the field of information technology (the register of IT companies).

"Based on the results of three quarters, the IT industry has demonstrated growth in key indicators – employment, tax revenue, revenue, and investment. This is no coincidence. Today, all sectors – from manufacturing to agriculture – are transforming and embracing digitalization. And IT companies are becoming the providers of services and technologies for them. Furthermore, we see that R&D spending in the IT industry has increased by almost 40% compared to last year. This indicates high innovative activity – that companies are investing in the development of their own technologies and products. Therefore, the industry plays a vital role in the development of our country's technological sovereignty," noted Dmitry Grigorenko.

According to monitoring results, revenue from sales of in-house and purchased goods and services by IT organizations for the first nine months of 2025 increased by 19% compared to the first nine months of 2024, reaching 8.24 trillion rubles.

The share of taxes paid by IT companies in total tax revenues increased by 0.5 percentage points over the first three quarters of this year compared to 2024, reaching 4.6%. In total, IT companies contributed 1.59 trillion rubles in taxes and fees to the budget during this period, representing a 29% increase compared to the first nine months of 2024. This growth in tax revenues continues despite the tax breaks currently in place for IT companies. This demonstrates the success of government support measures that are stimulating the industry's development.

The share of IT workers in the total workforce, according to monitoring results for three quarters, increased by 0.3 percentage points to 3.2%. The number of IT workers increased by 11% (to 151,000 people), significantly exceeding the growth of the overall workforce in the economy (growth of less than 1%).

Innovation activity and exports are growing, supporting the pursuit of technological sovereignty. R&D spending in the first nine months of 2025 increased 39% year-on-year, reaching 614 million rubles. This growth indicates that IT companies are increasingly investing in developing their own, domestic technologies. This also demonstrates the maturation of the industry and its stable development.

The business program architecture for the Future Technologies Forum, which will take place on February 26–27, 2026, at the World Trade Center in Moscow, has been published. Scientists, representatives of market leaders, key government agencies, and technology companies will discuss measures to achieve Russia's leadership position in the global biotechnology market.

The forum's key theme will be "Bioeconomy for Humanity." Discussions will focus on coordinating the efforts of market participants to implement the national project "Technological Support for the Bioeconomy."

"Implementing the national project on technological leadership is crucial for the economy as a whole due to the cross-cutting nature of this industry. Biotechnology enables the development of fundamentally new products and improves resource efficiency in a vast number of sectors, from pharmaceutical production to space exploration. The goal of the national project is to ensure technological independence for bioeconomy products," said Denis Manturov, curator of the national project "Bioeconomy," First Deputy Prime Minister.

The national project aims to effectively utilize Russia's raw materials, human resources, and scientific potential to establish the Russian bioeconomy as a global leader. Approximately 20 billion rubles are planned for the national project's implementation by 2030.

"Russia is in a unique position to develop the bioeconomy and create breakthrough biotechnologies. Rich and diverse biological resources, reputable natural science schools, a developed energy sector, and information technology create a powerful foundation for developing and implementing biotechnologies and improving the efficiency of existing industries. Forum participants will discuss how to integrate resources, knowledge, and technologies into an ecosystem that will foster the development of the bioeconomy and the implementation of its principles in other areas to achieve technological leadership," said Anton Kobyakov, Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee for the Future Technologies Forum and Advisor to the President of Russia.

The forum program will include discussions across four thematic tracks: "Technologies: Bioevolution," "Human Beings: A New Habitat," "Industries: Sustainable Development," and "Ecosystem: Societal Strategy."

The "Technologies: Bioevolution" track will bring together discussions on the development of technologies necessary to make Russia a global leader in the bioeconomy: additive biotechnology, nuclear and nature-based technologies, synthetic biology, and artificial intelligence.

"A key component of the national project's implementation will be the participation of high-tech and knowledge-intensive businesses, their involvement at all stages of production. Bioeconomy is an interdisciplinary field in which the use of cutting-edge technologies is critical to achieving technological leadership goals. It is necessary to unite industrial partners, research organizations, and universities to saturate the market with new solutions that can be applied in the industry," noted Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.

The "Human Being: A New Habitat" track will focus on sustainable environmental management. It will include discussions of the closed-loop bioeconomy, the application of biotechnology in the food industry, and the development of bio-eco-settlements as a new model of living.

In the "Industries: Sustainable Development" program track, forum participants will discuss measures to improve the efficiency of industries—energy, agro-industrial sector, and mining—through the use of biotechnology, as well as the creation of new industrial directions within emerging bioclusters.

Discussions under the "Ecosystem: Societal Strategy" track will focus on bioeconomy policymaking at various levels—from municipal to global—as well as specific measures to provide the industry with domestic equipment and personnel, attract investment, regulatory frameworks, and access to new export markets. This track will also include discussions on bioethics and myths surrounding the bioeconomy.

Ahead of the forum, a scientific conference will be held dedicated to technological support for the bioeconomy.

In 2025, Russian school teams successfully competed in 20 international subject Olympiads—both main and intermediate—exceeding last year's total in medal count.

"In 2025, Russian schoolchildren won 115 medals at 20 international Olympiads. They demonstrated strong results in disciplines crucial to achieving technological leadership—the national goal set by President Vladimir Putin. Compared to last year, the number of awards won and the number of competitions themselves increased. The news of each victory became a joyful and vibrant event, uniting our country. A huge thank you to our medalists, teachers, coaches, and parents! These awards are a symbol of your hard work, talent, and profound knowledge!" said Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko.

The preparation of students and their participation in intellectual tournaments was organized with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation as part of the federal project "All the Best for Children" of the national project "Youth and Children."

"The impressive successes of our schoolchildren this year—the growing number of medals and the expansion of their participation in intellectual competitions—clearly demonstrate the improvement in the quality of Russian education across various subject areas and the result of systematic efforts to identify and support talented students.
