The silver coin with a face value of 3 rubles (pure precious metal weight – 31.1 g, alloy fineness – 925) has the shape of a circle with a diameter of 39.0 mm.

There is a raised edge around the circumference of both the front and back sides of the coin.

Participants of the jubilee, tenth Eastern Economic Forum on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University will be greeted by new objects that form the patriotic and educational space of Russky Island. The Alley of Fame consists of seven three-dimensional steles dedicated to 53 servicemen of the Eastern Military District who were awarded the "Gold Star" of the Hero of the Russian Federation. On the steles, participants of the EEF will be able to find information about the feats accomplished by Far Eastern soldiers. Detailed stories of the heroes will be published in a special section on the university's website. The official opening of the Alley of Fame will take place during the forum.

"The Alley is located on the way from the venue of the business part of the EEF to the "Far East Street", so most of the guests will have the opportunity to learn about the exploits of the Far Eastern heroes. And after the forum, the Alley of Glory will become an integral part of the educational process for first-year students – open classes on patriotic education and a course on the fundamentals of Russian statehood will be held here," said FEFU Rector Boris Korobets.

The dominant feature of the FEFU campus will be the Russian national flag – one of the largest in the Far East. The tricolor can be seen from the Russian Bridge, from the mainland part of the city and the water area of Vladivostok – it will become not only one of the main symbols of the FEFU campus, but also an iconic landmark of the city.

Let us recall that the landscaped park area of the FEFU campus includes an island of untouched nature in the middle of one of the most modern student campuses in Russia. The forested coastal taiga has been preserved here, there are ponds with wild ducks and a picturesque waterfall. The main attraction of the park is the University Embankment, 1200 m long along the Ajax Bay, where pavilions of all regions of the Far Eastern Federal District are located – the exhibition "Far East Street". KYIV, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) — Ukraine has returned 65 of its citizens who were held in the buffer zone on the Russian-Georgian border after being deported from Russia, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha and Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko announced on Facebook on Friday.

Among those returned are ten women and eight seriously ill people. All of them were at the Georgian checkpoint "Dariali", the ministers said.

BEIJING, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) — Accordions made in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region are planned to be exported to Kazakhstan, Belarus and other countries, according to the opening ceremony of the accordion studio of the China Musical Instrument Society in Tacheng, local media reported.

Tarbagatai accordions will be exported through the Baktu checkpoint on the Chinese-Kazakh border. XINING, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) — Six people were killed and 10 were missing as of 12 p.m. Friday after cables broke at a bridge construction site across the Yellow River in northwest China's Qinghai Province.

The cables broke on Friday night at around 3:00 a.m. on a bridge under construction on the Qinghai section of the Sichuan-Qinghai railway. According to preliminary investigation data, 16 workers were at the scene at the time of the accident.

Immediately after receiving the emergency report, the Ministry of Emergency Management of the People's Republic of China sent a task force to the scene to lead the rescue operation. The department called for the location of the workers involved in the accident to be established as soon as possible, and for all forces to be used to search for and rescue people who fell into the water after the cables broke.

There was also a call for the rapid identification of the causes of the incident and the prevention of similar tragedies in the future.

The bridge is a steel truss arch and its main span was expected to be closed by the end of this month.

We have also significantly expanded the auditorium fund: the new building has four flow auditoriums, one of which is for 400 people, which is the largest auditorium at the university. Classes in the new building will begin on September 1.

The rector also presented preliminary results of the admissions campaign, focusing on the growth in the number of applications – by 17% this year. NSU maintains the highest passing score among non-capital universities – in 2025, the average USE score for the main competition for admission to budget places was 85. The university expanded its geography: this year, NSU admitted applicants from 64 regions (last year there were 58). Another feature of the current admissions campaign: the university has tripled the number of students enrolled under a separate quota (children of SVO participants) – up to 93 people from 21 subjects of the Russian Federation.
