BEIJING, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) — Chinese Defense Ministry spokesperson Zhang Xiaogang on Thursday called on the Philippines to immediately stop its provocative actions in the South China Sea.

UN, September 25 (Xinhua) — China supports the creation of a more effective and pragmatic United Nations through reforms aimed at enhancing its quality and effectiveness. Chinese State Council Premier Li Qiang stated this during a meeting with UN General Assembly President Annalena Baerbock on the sidelines of the general debate of the 80th session of the UNGA on Wednesday.

TAIYUAN, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) — The 9th Pingyao International Film Festival opened Wednesday evening in the ancient town of Pingyao, north China's Shanxi Province.
