Marat Khusnullin: Construction of the Center for Innovative Educational Technologies in Artek is nearing completion.
Construction of the Center for Innovative Educational Technologies is nearing completion at the Solnechny camp on the grounds of the Artek International Children's Center. Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin announced this.
"The development of children's infrastructure directly impacts the quality of life of the younger generation. Modern facilities become centers of attraction, where schoolchildren engage in sports, creative activities, and socialize. This comprehensive approach fosters a healthy society and a confident future. Artek is a unique children's center that has remained a symbol of a happy childhood for a century, a place where character is forged, talents are discovered, and lifelong friendships are forged. We are undertaking extensive work to build new and renovate existing facilities at Artek as part of the state program for the socioeconomic development of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. Construction of the Center for Innovative Educational Technologies at Artek is currently nearing completion," said Marat Khusnullin.
The Deputy Prime Minister added that work on the center's building is currently 90% complete. Specialists are currently installing modern technological equipment and furniture. Finishing work and the installation of internal engineering systems are also nearing completion.
The center is designed to accommodate 1,200 students. In addition to classrooms, it will feature rehearsal and performance spaces, an amphitheater, modern workshops and laboratories, a 700-seat multi-purpose auditorium, and much more.
"Currently, construction workers are actively improving the surrounding area. Specialists are creating walking areas with designated areas for team members, completing the street and road network, and landscaping. All construction and installation work on the site is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025," noted Karen Oganesyan, General Director of the Unified Customer Production and Consulting Company.
Konstantin Fedorenko, Director of the Artek International Children's Center, expressed gratitude to the builders, engineers, and everyone involved for their work, professionalism, and dedication in creating the new center.
"The work has reached the final stretch, and this is a truly significant event for all of Artek. We are creating not just an educational space, but a unique environment for developing talent, unparalleled in Russia. The center will combine cutting-edge classrooms, rehearsal rooms, modern laboratories, and a robust infrastructure for expressing oneself and learning new things. There truly is no other project for children of this scale and this level of equipment in the country today. This is a new flagship that will set the highest standards in supplementary education," said Konstantin Fedorenko.
