Yesterday, the first Master's students graduated from two new programs Faculty of Information Technology NSU, launched in 2023, are “Internet of Things” and “Artificial Intelligence and Data Science”. The programs are distinguished by their interdisciplinary nature and in-depth training, which allows solving a wide range of problems in in-demand IT areas.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a network of physical objects that can be connected using various technologies and sensors to collect and analyze data. This data can be used to optimize processes, improve quality of life, and manage resources. The development of IoT opens up new opportunities for business, industry, transportation, healthcare, and many other areas. However, to realize all these opportunities and benefits, a qualified team of specialists is needed who have deep knowledge in a wide range of areas, from programming and data analytics to communications technology and security, and also understand the operation of the sensors themselves and the subject area in which they are used.

— IoT is one of the trends in the development of modern IT. When preparing to create and design solutions for the Internet of Things, a master's student must demonstrate a whole range of knowledge. Firstly, it is necessary to learn how to work in conditions of limited computing performance and electricity, since Internet of Things devices must provide a long battery life. Secondly, in order for your system to work, a computer is not enough, you must ensure the transfer of this data. Thirdly, where we deal with data, the task arises to ensure its safety and protection. I will give an example from the healthcare sector. We all know smart watches that measure the pulse, count the number of steps, etc. In order for them to perform tasks, for example, monitoring the health of the elderly, it is necessary to implement more complex Internet of Things tools. The question arises: since this is personal, medical data, it is necessary to provide for its correct protection. Thus, in order to work in the IoT field, you need to be able to solve a whole range of problems and be an expert in different sections of modern information technology. Within the framework of the new direction, we are training exactly such specialists, — the dean of the NSU FIT, Corresponding Member, spoke about the features of the program. RAS Mikhail Lavrentiev.

The new program is also distinguished by the fact that during their studies, master's students participate in the implementation of projects that are carried out on order or in cooperation with businesses working in the IoT area. Thus, the university's partner in organizing the new master's program was the company "Laboratory of the Internet of Things", which develops ground equipment for satellite systems, as well as the company YADRO.

Denis Enes, a graduate of the Master's program "Internet of Things" at the NSU Institute of Information Technologies, shares his impressions of the training:

– I graduated from the NSU FIT Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science and Systems Engineering. At the same time, a new program appeared in the FIT Master’s program – Internet of Things. I wanted to study something new, so I applied. The workload was heavy, especially in the first year, so it was difficult to combine study and work. However, it was worth the effort: as a result, I acquired knowledge that was different from what I received in my Bachelor’s degree, so now I have more opportunities for further career development.

In the second program, "Artificial Intelligence and Data Science," students received the necessary knowledge to work with artificial intelligence. They learned to develop intelligent solutions by participating in real company projects, as well as to apply AI and Data Science technologies in information and analytical activities for a wide range of areas of the digital economy.

— We have developed a program that allows our master's students to understand what artificial intelligence is, what needs to be done to make its systems work, how to construct a database, how to estimate the size of the required hardware base that will support the system. So, now AI is increasingly penetrating into people's everyday lives — these are solutions for automatic face recognition when entering an office or an entrance, recognizing car numbers to open a barrier, garage, etc. Such systems require a minimal hardware base. We are preparing students for the fact that it is necessary not only to build an artificial intelligence system, but to understand what is sufficient to solve a specific range of problems, — explained Mikhail Lavrentyev.

The new educational program is actively supported by partners, including Postgres Professional, YADRO, institutes of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and other companies.

Ilya Stetsky:

— Studying on the program was very interesting and useful. If before admission I thought that neural networks were something narrow, then during the master's program this area was presented more broadly, from different sides, I discovered different areas of AI application. In general, the training was comprehensive and deep. In the future, I plan to work in the field of real-time data stream processing.

Chinese student Aisaiti Baishan:

— I am very glad that I spent these two years in Akademgorodok! Before NSU, I studied at Chongqing University. I decided to enroll here because NSU is very famous in China, everyone knows that it has a high level of education, including in mathematics and IT, and professional teachers. I plan to return home to China and continue my postgraduate studies. I received my diploma and now I want to thank everyone for these two years at the university!

Systems Analysis, AI and Big Data: Results of the Scientific Conference at SPbPU

The XXIX International Scientific and Practical Conference “System Analysis in Design and Management” (SAEC-2025) was held at the Polytechnic University.

The event was organized by the scientific and pedagogical school "System Analysis in Design and Management" based on the Higher School of Computer Technologies and Information Systems of the Institute of Computer Science and Cybersecurity of SPbPU with the support of the Southern Federal University and the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.

The conference was attended by about 300 representatives of universities and research organizations from Russia and 19 foreign countries. 114 reports were presented, in addition to plenary sessions, there were seven scientific sections, two round tables, a discussion track and a visiting session in Taganrog (Southern Federal University).

The plenary sessions were chaired by Violetta Volkova, professor at the Higher School of Computer Science and Information Technologies, Vladimir Kozlov, professor at the Higher School of Computer Science and Information Technologies, and Svetlana Shchepetova, professor at the Department of Modeling and Systems Analysis at the Financial University.

On the first day of the conference, its scientific secretary, Associate Professor Svetlana Shirokova read out the opening remarks of the Chairman of the Program Committee, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Igor Kalyaev. Professor Peres Krichtin Fabio Luis, Special Coordinator for International Relations with the Russian Federation, delivered a welcoming speech via video link on behalf of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.

The following people gave reports on global problems of developing the methodology of systems analysis, data dimensionality, spatial planning and design of the environment of the future, system principles of model integration, systems analysis and development of weapons systems, as well as the peculiarities of the development of Russian higher education in modern conditions: President of the Southern Federal University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Education Marina Borovskaya; Head of the Scientific Direction "Mesoeconomics, Microeconomics, Corporate Economics" of the Central Economics and Mathematics Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Scientific Director of the Department of Modeling and Systems Analysis of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, Head of the Department of Institutional Economics of the State University of Management, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Georgy Kleiner; Head of the Department of Mathematical Modeling of Nonlinear Processes of the Keldysh Institute of Applied Mathematics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Full Member of the Academy of Military Sciences; Professor of St. Petersburg State University Vladimir Khalin. The rationale for the need to open the specialty “System Analysis, Management and Information Processing” was presented in the report by Vladimir Kozlov, Violetta Volkova and Associate Professor Artem Efremov.

At the end of the plenary session, the director of the Center for Technological Support of Education at Moscow Polytechnic University, Ilya Volnov, gave a report entitled “The Method of Analogies and Synthesis of the Sphere Approach.”

Lively discussions arose in the section "Philosophical, methodological and general theoretical problems of systems theory and systems analysis". The reports characterizing the current state of the sciences on systems and methods of systems analysis were discussed, including the report of the head of the department of philosophy of information and cognitive processes of the Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Andrei Kolesnikov on arithmotronics; a joint report of professor of the University "Narxoz" (Almaty, Kazakhstan) Mafura Uandykova and professor of the Financial University Svetlana Shchepetova on the problem of interaction between the system and the individual in the era of digitalization; a joint report of professor of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro Fabio Luis Peres Krichtin and his colleagues from the Polytechnic School, research laboratories of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and the Federal University Fluminense (Niteroi, Brazil).

On the second day, the following scientific sections were held: “Mathematical Methods and Models of Systems Analysis in Technical and Socio-Economic Systems”, “Information and Cyber-Physical Systems”, “Measuring Information Technologies”, “System Analysis in the Management of Enterprises, Territorial Complexes, Research and Other Organizations”, “Transport Systems”, “System Analysis in the Educational Process and Management of Higher Education”.

Employees of the SPbPU Digital Engineering School organized two round tables. Under the leadership of Marina Bolsunovskaya, Associate Professor of the Higher School of Computer Science and Information Systems, Head of the Laboratory of Industrial Systems of Stream Data Processing at the SPbPU School, a round table was held on Data Analysis in Complex Technical and Production Systems. Under the leadership of Alexey Gintsyak, Head of the Laboratory of Digital Modeling of Industrial Systems at the SPbPU School of Project Activity and Innovations in Industry, a round table was held on Integration of Methods of Systems Analysis and Artificial Intelligence in Economics and Construction.

The discussion track on the problem of "Ideology of engineering complex systems in the conditions of increasing chaos of pre-singularity" (the moderator is the methodological director of the National Association of Enterprise Architects, a full member of the RMA Evgeny Zinder) attracted great interest. For example, a student of MIREA – Russian Technological University and junior specialist of the company "Uveon – Cloud Technologies" Nikolay Leonov presented evidence of the usefulness of using the XGBoost method for predicting security incidents in information systems.

Also giving presentations and participating in discussions were Sergey Vasiliev, a lecturer at the TOP Computer Academy, Roman Khursin, an analyst at Ravelin LLC, Yuri Lyamin, an associate professor at the Department of Applied Informatics and Security at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, Elena Romanova, a senior lecturer at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, Kirill Skripkin, an associate professor at the Lomonosov Moscow State University, and Maxim Smirnov, a member of the NAAP Council.

At the final plenary session, Boris Sokolov, Chief Researcher at the St. Petersburg Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, presented a report on the development and use of digital twins of complex objects based on the qualimetry of models and polymodel complexes. Professor Igor Arefyev and Associate Professor Olga Afanasyeva of the St. Petersburg Mining University spoke about the use of artificial intelligence to build cognitive models of weakly structured problems of system analysis. Professor Violetta Volkova, in collaboration with Yuri Cherny, Head of the Center for the Study of Informatics Problems at the Institute of Scientific Information on Social Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences, prepared a report entitled "A Look at the Problem of Big Data from the Point of View of A. A. Denisov's Philosophy and Theory of the Information Field."

The meeting in Taganrog was devoted to the topic "Cognitive Modeling of Complex Systems and Artificial Intelligence". There, Zinaida Avdeeva, a senior research fellow at the V. A. Trapeznikov Institute of Control Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences, expressed an important idea for complex open systems that forecasts should begin with an analysis of the current state of the system, reflected in regulatory documents, and presented a cognitive analysis of the main ones.

At the end of the conference, its participants proposed organizing a permanent seminar and information portal, where they could continue discussing the development directions of systems sciences, and primarily the problems of target setting, big data and artificial intelligence.

Representatives of SPbGASU took part in the congress of young scientists

Chairperson of the Council of Young Scientists of SPbGASU Alexandra Glukhova, head of the student scientific society of the construction faculty Ksenia Ivanyuzhenko and student of the faculty of forensic examinations and law in construction and transport Kirill Besedin took part in the XIII Congress of councils of young scientists and student scientific societies "From the depths of traditions – to the heights of technology", which was held from July 2 to 5 in Ufa.

In addition, a great program of informal events was organized, as a result of which we were able to meet and communicate with outstanding figures of modern science, establish friendly relations with representatives of student scientific societies of Moscow State University, the Academy under the President of the Russian Federation, the Customs Academy, which, I hope, will become the necessary foundation for organizing inter-university scientific events," said Kirill Besedin.

"An important milestone of the congress was the creation of the industry community "Construction and Architecture", which included representatives of such specialized universities as the Nizhny Novgorod State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Moscow State University of Civil Engineering, Tomsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Penza State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Moscow Architectural Institute and others. A new direction “Integration of solutions using artificial intelligence technologies” has opened at the Higher College of Informatics of NSU

The Higher College of Informatics of Novosibirsk State University has received a license and is opening a new specialty, "Integration of Solutions Using Artificial Intelligence Technologies." This is a modern secondary vocational education (SVE) program aimed at training qualified specialists in working with AI. Recruitment for the new program has already started and will amount to up to 30 people. The training is designed for a period of 3 years and 10 months in full-time form.

Graduates of the program will receive the qualification of "artificial intelligence specialist" and acquire skills in developing, integrating and implementing AI solutions in various fields: industry, medicine, education, finance and service industries. During the training, students will study the basics of artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data processing, as well as working with intelligent systems and robotics.

— Our new program is different in that students will work on real cases of industrial partners, train neural networks on the most productive graphics cluster beyond the Urals — this is the pilot cluster of the Lavrentyev supercomputer center, which we launched in 2024. The teachers will be research associates of the NSU Research Center for Artificial Intelligence — leading experts in AI in our country. From this point of view, our program is unique: no other educational institution of secondary vocational education in our region provides such opportunities, — says Alexey Okunev, director of the Higher College of Informatics at NSU.

Those who enroll in the new program will gain the skills of training, customizing, and implementing products based on artificial intelligence. The development of new artificial intelligence tools will be taught in this program, which distinguishes it from other programs presented at the NSU VKI.

A new direction has just appeared: the Higher College of Informatics of NSU received a license in June of this year. Recruitment is conducted on a fee-paying basis based on 9 classes, next year it is planned to receive budget places.

The NSU VKI has already noted a great deal of interest in the program, although recruitment was only recently announced. One of the reasons is the high demand on the market for specialists who can work with AI. Some IT companies, when hiring, require programming skills using AI assistants. And the new program teaches how to use artificial intelligence in professional work.

— The demand for process automation using artificial intelligence exceeds the supply of specialists on the market. In the field of AI, even graduates with the skills of a beginner programmer can find good vacancies. It is important to note that we do not need those who are doing “my first project on YOLO”. We need specialists in optimizing the performance of AI solutions, their integration with other IT products. The use of artificial intelligence on autonomous and robotic devices is also gaining popularity, — adds Alexey Okunev.

NSU VKI teachers closely follow trends in both products and market applications of artificial intelligence. Therefore, the new direction has great prospects for further development.

— Now, in addition to autonomous AI, prompt engineering is gaining popularity, that is, the creation of effective and accurate prompts (hints) for working with large language models (Large Language Model, LLM); as well as information search using Retrieval Augmented Generation (generation supplemented by search), when LLMs respond to a request based on data obtained as a result of searching in external sources. In the near future, we hope to implement these, currently advanced, developments in our courses, — adds Alexey Okunev.

SPbU Enters Top 5 Russian Universities According to Forbes Education | Saint Petersburg State University

In 2025, the ranking included 564 universities with Russian accreditation, entitled to issue state diplomas. Universities were assessed based on five key indicators: quality of networking, global reputation, authority among employers, development of the academic environment, and the Forbes factor. "Economic development without the AI factor is no longer possible"

The International Summer Institute on Artificial Intelligence in Education Research, organized by Institute of Education HSE University together with East China Normal University (ECNU). It was attended by over 50 participants and key speakers from more than ten countries in Asia, Europe, North and South America. They discussed the use of AI technologies in education and other areas.

Opening the program, Professor Meng Yu and Vice Dean of the School of Computer Science at East China Normal University Xu Fei emphasized that the rapid development of AI technologies requires international cooperation and interdisciplinary research. “We are pleased to join forces with the Institute of Education at the Higher School of Economics and are confident that the week in Shanghai will become a starting point for long-term joint projects,” said Meng Yu and Xu Fei.

Director of the Institute of Education Evgeny Terentyev recalled that research alliances between Russian and Chinese universities are acquiring strategic importance and opening up new horizons for cooperation. He also presented the results of one of the latest studies by InoBra — a typology of Russian universities’ reactions to generative AI: from ban to active implementation. The analysis showed that most universities are still in the grey zone, not formalizing the rules for using new technologies.

In his speech, HSE Academic Director Yaroslav Kuzminov outlined five areas in which AI is already transforming higher education. First, this is the need to change educational practices and educational routines. Second, the new role of human cognitive skills. Third, the possibility of overcoming educational failure by establishing a mechanism for personalized feedback. In addition, these are new learning formats (including gaming). The fifth area is new mechanisms for integrating into the labor market, based on real skills, and not on the ability to perform routine operations.

He also emphasized possible areas of using AI for good, to strengthen a person. "Efficient (competent) implementation of AI in education, based on transparent rules, motivation of students to perform more complex tasks with the help of AI than without it, as well as personalized recommendations – all this together can reduce educational failure and release economic potential, creating equal opportunities for the formation of a competitive workforce and ensuring sustainable development. Therefore, let's move towards the literacy of the future and AI literacy with the understanding that economic development without the AI factor is no longer possible, but regression in the case of careless, illiterate use is quite likely," said Yaroslav Kuzminov.

This leitmotif was continued by Ekaterina Kruchinskaya, senior lecturer Department of Higher Mathematics HSE University. She spoke about the results of a survey of students from ten selective (top) universities in Russia. The survey showed that students most often use generative models to retell texts, analyze data, and program, but the time savings remain minimal due to the need to check the results. At the same time, the practices of use are still not organized, and students mainly use AI to relax more, but not to use the capabilities of generative models to perform more complex, creative tasks.

“The danger of using generative AI will be significantly reduced when these practices of its use become more institutionalized, and students are motivated not to imitate, but to improve their real results,” Ekaterina Kruchinskaya summed up.

The lecture was given by Okan Bulut, a professor at the University of Alberta (Canada), who spoke about the problems of using artificial intelligence in education. He highlighted the key challenges in assessing the use of AI and discussed how this technology can be used for the benefit of learning. Continuing the topic, Associate Professor Mick Funghi of the Education University of Hong Kong spoke about changing traditional ideas about computer-supported collaborative learning. He explained that if previously technologies were viewed only as a means for students to interact with each other, now AI tools themselves are becoming full-fledged participants in the process. Using the example of group work with text, Professor Funghi also highlighted the new risks of freeriding – cases when students use AI primarily to save time, rather than to deepen collaboration – and proposed a research agenda focusing on the behavior of individual participants.

The first day ended with academic "speed dating": the participants exchanged ideas for their projects and outlined the tasks they would work on during the week in Shanghai. Ahead of them are a series of lectures, master classes and workshops on research methods. The Polytechnic stand continues its work at the INNOPROM exhibition, and the official delegation of SPbPU takes an active part in the business program. On July 8, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin arrived in Yekaterinburg. At the forum, the Prime Minister assessed the exhibits and opened the main strategic session "Technological Leadership: Industrial Breakthrough".

"I would like to sincerely welcome the participants and guests of the main industrial exhibition of Russia. This year it has a significant anniversary. For the 15th time, Yekaterinburg has become the center of attraction for companies of industrial leaders – both our country and our friendly states. In order to identify new growth points, expand the range of business contacts," said Mikhail Mishustin. – Today's discussion is devoted to a very important topic – industrial breakthrough. President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum emphasized that the Russian economy must become more technological. This is a serious challenge, the solution of which will require combining the efforts of educational and scientific institutions, industry and other sectors, the expert community and investors, state corporations and development institutions, ministries and departments, regional authorities. I am absolutely convinced that together we will be able to achieve the goals set in this area. And a good support, of course, will be the success of domestic manufacturers."

The industrial world is currently experiencing a period of dramatic change and instability. In the context of growing uncertainty, the largest market players are actively looking for new growth points and strategic allies. Technological development is becoming a key area of production transformation. The priority vector is the creation of intelligent and automated systems, where artificial intelligence plays a central role in managing production processes. However, technological progress is only one component of success in the struggle for leadership. An equally important aspect is the formation of a reliable ecosystem of partnerships based on many years of experience of joint work and mutual trust. The key factors in this strategy are the painstaking work of higher education institutions in training qualified personnel, as well as close interaction between educational institutions, enterprises and business representatives.

Thus, the chief designer for the key scientific and technological development area of SPbPU "System Digital Engineering", director of the Advanced Engineering School of SPbPU "Digital Engineering" Alexey Borovkov was one of the key speakers of the round table "Implementation of strategic projects of technological leadership within the framework of the program "Priority-2030". The participants of the meeting discussed the mechanisms of interaction of the program with the system of higher education, including the assessment of the implemented educational programs, methodological approaches to training and forms of cooperation between educational institutions and the business community.

Alexey Ivanovich recalled that in 2025, each university included the section "Strategic Technological Leadership" in its comprehensive development program, identifying three strategic technological projects. Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, following the presentation of the University Development Program at the Council of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, entered the leading group of universities participating in the Priority-2030 program.

It is important to note that in accordance with the Order of the Government of the Russian Federation dated May 20, 2023 No. 1315-r, the term “technological leadership” is defined as the superiority of technologies or products in key parameters (functional, technical, cost) over foreign analogues. It is for the purpose of achieving technological leadership according to this definition that SPbPU concentrates its efforts on three key scientific and technological areas (KST): KST-1 “Systemic digital engineering” – development of technologies and products superior to foreign analogues, based on digital twin technology and the CML-Bench® Digital Platform KST-2 “New materials, technologies, production” – creation of science-intensive industries for the repair and manufacture of products for various purposes; KST-3 “Artificial intelligence for solving cross-industry problems” – development of digital platform solutions for analyzing multimodal data, – said Alexey Ivanovich.

A solemn and pleasant ceremony took place at our stand during business negotiations. SPbPU Academic Secretary Dmitry Karpov presented the SPbPU "For Merits" badge of distinction to Anatoly Sludnykh, General Director of the Ural Optical-Mechanical Plant named after E. S. Yalamov (UOMZ). The award was given by a unanimous decision of the Polytechnic Academic Council for his great contribution to the development of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University. UOMZ is a long-standing and reliable partner of the Polytechnic. So, quite recently The plant's delegation visited our university.

According to Anatoly Sludnykh, the enterprise is interested in using technologies and materials developed by Polytechnic University scientists, as well as in additional training of its technologists and engineers at the university. SPbPU, in turn, is determined to strengthen ties and expand cooperation with the Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant and other enterprises of the Shvabe holding.

We should add that the Polytechnic stand enjoys increased attention from specialists and visitors to the INNOPROM exhibition. They evaluate the advanced engineering developments of our university and communicate with the university specialists. But the exhibit of the SPbPU History Museum is of particular value – a fragment of the legendary "Cable of Life". This is a gift from Polytechnic graduates who, after graduating from the university, made a successful career at Lenenergo.

September 23, 1942 was a turning point in the history of Leningrad during the siege. On this day, the besieged city began receiving electricity from the Volkhov Hydroelectric Power Station. The unique project was completed in just 48 days. Power engineers had to lay 104 kilometers of overhead power lines and five 23-kilometer cable strands along the bottom of Lake Ladoga. The work was carried out under constant enemy fire near the front line. A three-core cable with a 120 mm² cross-section ensured the transmission of significant amounts of electricity. The system operated for almost two years, supplying not only industrial enterprises, but also the everyday needs of city residents.

Director of the SPbPU History Museum Valery Klimov shared his memories of the outstanding engineer Nikodim Tumanov, who supervised the cable laying. In 1935, he graduated from the Leningrad Polytechnic Institute as an external student, defending his diploma project on the topic of "Expansion of the electrical network of the Central District of the Leningrad electrical network."

When he was assigned to lead the group, he said: "I understood that this task was impossible. But if I refused, someone else would refuse, a third – and the city would be left without electricity. I decided for myself that I had to try. Leningraders are those people who did not refuse. Perhaps that is why we survived. And as long as a person believes, he lives," Valery Yuryevich quoted Nikodim Tumanov.

I noticed that there are not many stands here that have the logo of the 80th anniversary of the Victory. Our stand has one. This year the country celebrated a great anniversary, and that is why we brought to Yekaterinburg one of the symbols of the Victory and the heroism of Leningraders – "Cable of Life", – emphasized Valery Klimov.

Associate Professor of the Department of Construction Materials Technology and Metrology Dmitry Panteleev completed the research work "Crack resistance of dispersion-reinforced concrete after high-temperature heating" as part of the grant competition for the implementation of research work by scientific and pedagogical workers of SPbGASU in 2025.

Every year in Russia there are many fires in buildings and structures. Their number can be reduced by increasing the requirements for the structural safety of buildings. For this, when designing, in addition to calculating the load-bearing structure for strength, it is also necessary to carry out a fire resistance calculation to guarantee the preservation of the load-bearing capacity in fire conditions for a specified time.

In case of fire, high fire resistance of building structures is a guarantee not only of the structural integrity of the building, but also of the safety of people. After the fire starts to affect the structure, concrete can explode, breaking off from the heated surface in plates. Pieces of peeling concrete fly off with a bang to a distance of up to 10 m.

During the research, fibre-reinforced concrete compositions were designed and manufactured, followed by determination of their properties after exposure to high-temperature heating.

It was found that the use of steel fiber can increase the crack resistance and fracture toughness of concrete structures, thereby making them safer in the event of a fire, while the use of synthetic microfiber helps to avoid explosive destruction.

As a result of the research, effective versions of fiber concrete were developed using high-modulus steel and low-modulus synthetic fibers to obtain highly fire-resistant concrete, to increase their technical and economic efficiency, reliability and operational safety of building and structure structures.
