BEIJING, January 4 (Xinhua) — Beijing welcomed 8.808 million tourists during the Chinese New Year holiday, bringing the city's total tourism revenue to 10.97 billion yuan (about 1.56 billion U.S. dollars), according to the city's Bureau of Culture and Tourism.

Minsk, January 3 (Xinhua) — The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs categorically condemned the armed aggression committed on January 3 against the sovereign state of Venezuela and views it as a direct threat to international peace and security. The ministry's press service released the statement on Saturday.

UNITED NATIONS, Jan. 3 (Xinhua) — Venezuela's Permanent Mission to the United Nations on Saturday sent a letter to the organization's Security Council (SC) President for January, Abukar Dahir Osman, condemning the "brutal, unjustified and unilateral" US military attacks against the South American country.
