WASHINGTON, Jan. 5 (Xinhua) — U.S. President Donald Trump issued a stern warning to Colombian President Gustavo Petro on Sunday evening, saying he "will not be doing this (producing cocaine and selling it to the United States) for much longer."

BEIJING, Jan. 5 (Xinhua) — The gross regional product of China's Yangtze River Economic Belt (YREB) has more than doubled in the past decade, the National Development and Reform Commission said Monday.

Wang Changlin, deputy head of the committee, noted at a press conference that over 10 years, the share of YREB in China's GDP has grown from 42.2 percent to 47.3 percent.

At the same time, the share of reservoirs with excellent and good water quality has increased to 96.5 percent in the YREB territory, compared to 67 percent ten years ago, he added.

WASHINGTON, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) — U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday threatened that Venezuela's acting President Delcy Rodriguez could "pay a very high price, perhaps even higher" than President Nicolas Maduro if she continues to refuse to cooperate with the United States.

OSLO, Jan. 5 (Xinhua) — Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said on Sunday that the United States has no right to annex Greenland, calling on Washington to stop threatening its close ally and the people of Greenland.

CARACAS, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) — The National Bolivarian Armed Forces on Sunday strongly condemned the "cowardly kidnapping" of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro by the United States.
