Samotlorneftegaz, one of Rosneft's key production assets, allocated more than 15 billion rubles to implement environmental programs and activities in the first nine months of 2025.

The company implements a number of environmental programs, including methane emission monitoring, land reclamation, safe industrial waste disposal, stocking Siberian rivers with fish, and reforestation.

For several years, Samotlorneftegaz has been implementing a gas investment program, including a phased upgrade of its gas infrastructure to maintain a minimum 98% efficiency level for associated petroleum gas (APG). A modern, comprehensive system for collecting, treating, compressing, and transporting gas has been developed at the Samotlor field. The majority of the gas is sent to gas processing plants and local consumers.

Samotlorneftegaz monitors greenhouse gas emissions at its production facilities. Since the beginning of the year, over 2,600 measurements have been taken at oil and gas treatment facilities and 230 at mechanized wells using modern equipment such as infrared cameras, laser scanners, and ultrasonic detectors. Unmanned aerial vehicles equipped with laser gas analyzers have been used to inspect gas pipelines with a total length of approximately 506 kilometers.

Since the beginning of the year, 152 kilometers of oilfield pipelines have been built as part of the pipeline reliability improvement program. To ensure the pipeline system's strength, modern domestic coating materials for the internal surfaces of pipes and new technologies for processing welded joints have been used. Inhibitor corrosion protection is being implemented on the existing pipeline fleet.

Samotlorneftegaz has fully completed the reclamation of its "historical heritage" lands. Technical and biological restoration work was carried out year-round thanks to the extensive use of its own winter reclamation and phytomelioration technologies. Samotlorneftegaz carried out most of the work through its internal environmental services team, using specialized equipment for working in marshy areas.

Another of the company's most important tasks is maintaining the ecological balance within its production area by replenishing biological resources. Approximately 5,000 Siberian sterlet fry and over 750,000 muksun and nelma have been released into the Ob-Irtysh basin. In total, over 20 million valuable fish fry have been released into the northern rivers in recent years thanks to these campaigns.

The company has planted over 1.8 million coniferous trees in Yugra's forestry districts over the past decade, covering an area of over 520 hectares. In addition to forested areas, in 2025, the company's volunteers also landscaped parks in Nizhnevartovsk.

Preserving the environment for future generations is a key focus of Rosneft's strategy. The company and its subsidiaries are implementing a number of comprehensive programs to preserve biodiversity, conserve natural resources in the regions where they operate, and strive to ensure environmentally friendly production and minimize environmental impact.

A productive holiday: schoolchildren immersed themselves in the world of engineering and high technology at the Polytechnic University

Translation. Region: Russian Federation –

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

During the fall break, the Polytechnic University became a magnet for talented and inquisitive schoolchildren. A series of events took place within the university walls, where students demonstrated their knowledge, worked on real-life engineering problems, and immersed themselves in the world of modern technology.

The main event for high school students was the "Polytechnic Challenge" festival. Over the course of a week, teams from schools in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region competed in five categories, solving research and scientific problems developed by university students and faculty.

The intellectual program was incredibly intense. The classic game "What? Where? When?" was especially popular, attracting the largest number of teams ready to demonstrate their erudition and resourcefulness. The math battles were equally vibrant, where participants honed their skills in solving unconventional problems and defending their solutions as a team. And in the "Physics Battles" section, students were required not only to solve complex problems but also to convincingly defend their point of view in scientific debates with their opponents.

The festival's practical significance was demonstrated through the solution of relevant problems. For example, at the case championship held by the SPbPU Case Club, participants had to find a solution to a real-life production problem. The students developed a plan to improve energy efficiency and transition to green energy for the Technoprom plant, which was facing rising costs and environmental regulations.

A hackathon was held in collaboration with IT Contact. Teams created a "Smart Journal" tool for automatically comparing student grades, allowing teachers to save time and track changes in student performance.

The Polytechnic Challenge festival clearly demonstrated a willingness to offer practical solutions to modern engineering and social challenges. It's important to us that the competition opened up new horizons for the students in various scientific fields, the organizers noted.

The festival's winners were students from Schools No. 246, No. 219, and No. 471, as well as Lyceums No. 373, No. 144, and No. 280. The top teams received an important advantage for admission to the Polytechnic University—five additional points toward their Unified State Exam scores.

In parallel with the festival, a series of educational intensives, "Engineering League," was held for schoolchildren of all ages, where theory was immediately applied to practice.

At the "Unmanned Aircraft Systems" intensive course, participants immersed themselves in the world of drones: they studied their design, learned soldering, assembled and configured their own quadcopters, and then learned to pilot them through obstacle courses.

Participants in the "Virtual Reality Technologies" program created in a completely different dimension. They learned to create their own 3D worlds in Blender, transfer them into virtual reality, and freely navigate the VR space using virtual reality headsets.

For those fascinated by space, an intensive rocket science course was held. Young designers went through all the stages of creating a working rocket model: from design and programming to launch. Particular attention was paid to the recovery system—each vehicle was equipped with a parachute for a safe landing.

A course for younger students allowed participants to experience the full design cycle—from conception and 3D modeling of the case to soldering the electronics and final assembly. The five-day project culminated in each participant building their own radio-controlled tank.

The autumn break events at the Polytechnic University became an important step in the students' professional development. They not only acquired new knowledge and skills but also gained exposure to real-world engineering work, which plays a key role in shaping future professionals in advanced technologies.

Housing rights and address assignment: which government property services have become the most popular among Muscovites

Translation. Region: Russian Federation –

Source: Moscow Government – Moscow Government –

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

In the first nine months of 2025, specialists processed over 90,000 requests for government services in the area of land and property relations. More than 70 percent of these were submitted electronically via the mos.ru portal. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction. Vladimir Efimov.

"All government services related to land and property relations are available to Muscovites online at mos.ru. This allows them to request necessary documents and enter into lease and real estate purchase and sale agreements online. Specialists at the City Property Department process approximately 500 applications daily. In the first nine months of 2025, individuals and legal entities applied for government services more than 90,600 times. About 65,800 applications were submitted remotely," said Vladimir Efimov.

The City Property Department provides 21 government services related to land and property matters. These services are primarily targeted at legal entities and can only be accessed online. In the housing sector, Muscovites are provided seven government services, which are most often used by individuals. Two of these are available exclusively on the mos.ru portal.

"Our key goal is to make receiving government services as convenient as possible. To this end, we analyze feedback from individuals and businesses and optimize internal processes. Based on the results of the first nine months, the largest number of requests—over 18,000—were for information and documents on rights to

housing, registered before January 31, 1998. Although the standard service delivery period is 14 days, in most cases, applicants receive the required information within half an hour. This is possible if they apply during business hours and provide all the necessary information," she noted. Ekaterina Solovieva, Minister of the Moscow Government, head of the capital's Department of City Property.

Another popular government service allows you to conclude a social tenancy agreement and additional agreements It appeared on the mos.ru portal several years ago and included two services that were previously only available offline. During the Soviet era, apartments were provided based on a housing order or by government decision, and many still live under these old documents. Muscovites can contact the Department to sign a social tenancy agreement. This is necessary, for example, for the subsequent privatization of an apartment. It is also relevant for citizens wishing to amend the contracts under which they were provided with housing. In the first nine months of 2025, Muscovites applied for this government service more than 16,000 times.

In third place in terms of the number of requests is government service, which allows you to assign, change, or cancel an address to a property. Before the service was converted to digital form, it took 45 business days to provide. Thanks to digitalization and optimization, this period has been reduced: first to 17 days, then to 12, and now the service is provided in just five business days. From January to September 2025, nearly 13,600 requests for address assignment were received.

The development and modernization of electronic services is carried out by the capital's Department of City Property in conjunction withDepartment of Information Technology of the City of Moscow and the State Public Institution “New Management Technologies”.

The creation, development and operation of e-government infrastructure, including the provision of mass socially significant services, as well as other services in electronic form, are consistent with the objectives of the national project "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State" and the Moscow regional project "Digital Public Administration."
