Alexander Novak chaired a meeting of the OPEC Group of Eight countries.

Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak, as co-chairman, chaired a meeting of the Group of Eight countries that have adopted additional voluntary adjustments to oil production in April and November 2023.

The OPEC Group of Eight countries includes Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, the UAE, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria and Oman.

The parties discussed the state and prospects of the global oil market. Taking into account the stable global economic outlook and current market indicators, reflected in low oil inventories, they agreed to adjust production by 137,000 barrels per day in December 2025. This gradual increase may be suspended or reversed depending on changing market conditions. This flexibility will allow the group to continue to maintain oil market stability. The eight OPEC countries noted that this measure will enable member countries to expedite the compensation of lost volumes.

After December 2025, taking seasonality into account, eight OPEC countries also decided to suspend production increases in January, February and March 2026.

The parties to the deal confirmed their commitment to the voluntary adjustments to oil production agreed upon at the 53rd meeting of the OPEC Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee on April 3, 2024, and their intention to fully offset any excess production from January 2024.

Eight OPEC countries have agreed to hold monthly meetings to review market conditions, compliance, and compensation. The next meeting will be held on November 30, 2025.

A practical seminar on modern forest fire suppression methods was held at Buzuluksky Bor National Park. Organized with the support of MTS and the Zapovednoye Posledstvo Foundation, it brought together state park rangers, students from the volunteer fire brigade of the Buzuluk Forestry College, and staff from Samarales and the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The training was conducted by Grigory Kuksin, Associate Professor of the Department of Forest Conservation, Protection, and Regeneration at the All-Russian Institute for Advanced Training in Forestry Specialists and founder of the Landscape Fire Prevention Center. He is one of the most respected experts in the field of wildfire prevention and suppression in the country.

During the practical portion of the seminar, participants learned new technologies and equipment, including a temperature probe for locating peat fires and a georeaper for laying mineralized strips. The training also covered tactics and the installation of complex hose lines using tank trucks and motor pumps, allowing water to be delivered to the fire site from any body of water.

"I believe that of all Russian forest protected areas, the Buzuluk Pine Forest is currently the most challenging to protect from fire, the most prone to fires (in terms of the number of fires that occur), and yet the most well-protected," noted Grigory Kuksin. "Several generations of people—first in the reserve, then in the specialized Forest Management Department, and now in the national park—have perfected a system for detecting and extinguishing fires in the forest. But new climate conditions make protecting this forest increasingly challenging. Therefore, we must continually maintain our skills, seek new technical solutions, and conduct preventative measures. And we are proud to be able to contribute to the protection of this truly unique area."

"As a result of this project, which is being implemented with the support of MTS, not only will Buzuluksky Bor National Park receive assistance: we will also create a series of video tutorials to share the knowledge and experience gained with forest firefighters from other national parks and reserves," said Ksenia Gasparyan, Development Director of the Zapovednoye Posledstvo Foundation.

Learning how to use new firefighting tools and methods is crucial to protecting the unique Buzuluk Forest in a changing climate.

Over 100 related events will be held under the theme "Breakthrough, Symbiosis, and Sustainable Growth" and will be divided into six thematic areas: "Open China and the Shanghai Experience," "Enterprise Entry into Overseas Markets and Transnational Operations," "Finding Trade Drivers," "ESG and Sustainable Development," "Creating an Innovative Consumer Ecosystem," and "Artificial Intelligence for Industrial Development." Broad participation from various international organizations and companies is expected.

To improve the efficiency and quality of service for participants, an updated mini-app platform will be launched, providing comprehensive management and support at various stages of event preparation and execution, taking into account various organizational structures and language requirements. SHANGHAI, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) — Shanghai Disney Resort on Monday unveiled plans to build a fourth themed hotel and expand its shopping and dining area.

Amid the ongoing expansion of Shanghai Disneyland and the construction of a third themed hotel on its premises, the announcement comes shortly after the resort welcomed its 100 millionth visitor last week.

“We continue to design and deliver new and unique experiences in true Disneyland style,” said Andrew Bolstein, president and CEO of Shanghai Disneyland. “Our latest expansion plans are a compelling testament to this commitment.”

Under new development plans, the area near Shanghai Disneyland's main entrance will be transformed into a fourth themed hotel. A new Disneyland shopping mall will be built adjacent to the hotel, allowing guests to access exclusive merchandise from the resort without entering the grounds.

Shanghai Disneyland opened on June 16, 2016. According to the 2024 Global Experience Index released by the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) on October 23, 2025, Shanghai Disneyland ranked fifth in terms of attendance among the “World's Top 25 Theme Parks” and topped the ranking of similar facilities in China in 2024, welcoming a record number of 14.7 million visitors.
