Muscovites made a significant contribution to this result, winning 10 medals (accounting for 25 percent of the total Russian medal count) – nine gold (31 percent) and one silver (13 percent). Six Moscow athletes won medals or medals in five events at the Deaflympic Games in Japan.

The following athletes won the Deaflympic Championship: Mikhail Efremov, Shokhzod Gulomzoda, and Elena Tyurina (badminton), Alexey Shemarov (Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling), Sergey Tetyushkin (karate), and Dmitry Dolzhenkov (tennis). Mikhail Efremov (badminton) also won a silver medal.

Large-scale improvement and development of all-season infrastructure for recreation and sports is one of Moscow's key priorities. This will help enhance the city's appeal to residents and visitors, Sergei Sobyanin stated in his annual report on the Moscow Government's performance.

"The climate is changing, city residents' ideas about quality recreation are evolving, and new opportunities and technologies are emerging. Therefore, a radical overhaul of the 10-15-year-old infrastructure is needed," the Moscow Mayor noted.

Eleven all-season sports fields have opened in the city's districts, replacing artificial ice rinks or empty spaces. In winter, they offer ice skating, and in summer, volleyball, basketball, and other sports. Dozens, even hundreds, more such fields will be built in the city in the coming years.

Nevertheless, we have begun implementing it," added Sergei Sobyanin.

As of today, the renovation of the first 55 schools has been completed. In the future, approximately one hundred buildings will be reconstructed and constructed annually. All of them are being equipped with machine tools, instruments, and equipment that are used not only in education but also in real-world production," said Sergei Sobyanin.

Modern practical training facilities have been opened in Rudnevo and Pechatniki. Plans call for the construction of seven more by 2031. innovative educational campuses to accommodate 60,000 students. Their quality will be comparable to that of the best university campuses.

The second project is the completion of a modern inpatient care framework, which requires upgrading 100 percent of the city hospitals' facilities.

The following important facilities are being built in the capital:

— new buildings of Oncology Hospital No. 62;

— a new treatment and diagnostic complex of the N.V. Sklifosovsky Research Institute of Emergency Care;

— a multidisciplinary treatment and diagnostic complex of the Moscow Clinical Research Center "Hospital 52".

Another new children's hospital will also be built in Moscow, which will rank among the best children's hospitals in Russia in terms of its comfort and equipment. "Essentially, for the first time, we have transitioned to truly proactive medicine—preventing the development of a disease rather than reacting to an emerging clinical situation. Within a few years, this approach will be extended to many other diseases," the Moscow Mayor emphasized.
