In the north of Moscow, about 19.1 thousand people have signed contracts for housing in new buildings since the beginning of the renovation program, said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction Vladimir Efimov.

"Over the eight years of the renovation program, residents of 85 old buildings have completed the paperwork for equivalent apartments in new buildings in the north of Moscow — that's almost 19.1 thousand people. When program participants sign contracts with the city and move into modern residential complexes, the vacated buildings are dismantled. New buildings for the renovation program are erected on the vacated sites and the accompanying infrastructure is created. In total, 109 thousand Muscovites from 515 old buildings are planned to be resettled into new buildings in the Northern Administrative District. The city has already transferred 55 modern residential complexes to the renovation program participants," said Vladimir Efimov.
