The winners of the Student Startup competition of the University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform for 2025 have been determined. A grant of 1 million rubles will be received by 2.5 thousand students, residents and postgraduates to implement their business projects. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.

The Student Startup competition has been held by the Innovation Assistance Foundation since 2022. The sixth wave of selection took place in 2025.

"To achieve technological leadership of Russia – a national goal set by President Vladimir Putin – it is important to ensure growth in the number of entrepreneurs implementing in-demand science-intensive developments. Thanks to the Student Startup competition, this year 2.5 thousand students, residents and postgraduates will receive grants of 1 million rubles to implement their business projects. Every second of them is dedicated to one of the areas of national projects of technological leadership," the Deputy Prime Minister noted.

According to Dmitry Chernyshenko, the winners of the competition were citizens of Russia and 11 other countries, including Egypt, India and Syria. He emphasized that students of Russian universities representing friendly countries have equal opportunities to implement their startup projects.

"Opportunities for self-realization in the field of technological entrepreneurship are now available to every student, regardless of their field of study. One of the effective tools for developing such competencies is the Student Startup competition, the geography of which this year covered 75 regions of the country, more than 320 universities and scientific organizations. Among the winners are students of advanced engineering schools and those who are already working in youth laboratories. We see that an interconnected ecosystem of talent support has been formed and is working in our country," said the head of the Ministry of Education and Science, Valery Falkov.

The Minister added that thanks to the integration of the University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform into the federal project “Technologies”, startups have access to many opportunities for further development – from acceleration programs to obtaining the status of a small technology company.

"This year, the Student Startup competition received over 11.6 thousand applications, of which we selected 2.5 thousand of the best solutions: most of the projects are dedicated to digital technologies, creative industries and biotechnology. It is important that about 150 winners of the competition already have a formed scientific background within the framework of the Smart Guy competition. In the future, selections for two popular programs for young scientists, which are implemented by the fund, will continue," said Andrey Zhizhin, CEO of the Foundation for Assistance to Innovations.

Applications for the 2025 competition were accepted from April 1 to June 2 in 7 thematic areas: digital technologies, medicine and health-preserving technologies, chemical technologies and new materials, new devices and intelligent production technologies, biotechnology, resource-saving energy and creative industries. The leaders in the number of submitted winning projects were universities from Moscow, Tatarstan, St. Petersburg, Bashkortostan, Stavropol Krai, Tomsk, Novosibirsk and Samara regions, Perm Krai, and Rostov Oblast.

The University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform was launched by the Ministry of Education and Science in 2022 with the aim of unlocking the entrepreneurial potential of young people and training professionals in the field of technological entrepreneurship. BEIJING, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) — State Council Taiwan Affairs Office Spokesperson Chen Binhua on Thursday condemned remarks made by Taiwan Chief Executive Lai Qingde on the celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.

Lai Qingde's remarks completely expose the ugly face and evil nature of the separatist forces seeking "Taiwan independence", betray history and the nation, desecrate the memory of fallen heroes and lose all conscience, Chen Binhua said.

He made the statement in response to journalists' requests to comment on a social media post by Lai Qingde in which he distorted the commemorative events held in Beijing to mark Victory Day and also denigrated the social system of mainland China.

According to Chen Binhua, September 3 is a commemorative date for the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, and also a proud day for the sons and daughters of the entire Chinese nation, both inside and outside China.

However, on such a joyful day across the country, Lai Qingde glorified aggression and incited confrontation. His remarks reflected a complete loss of national standing, openly challenged justice and conscience, and deeply hurt the feelings of compatriots living on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, Chen Binhua noted.

Noting that Taiwan is a part of China and Taiwan compatriots are a part of the Chinese nation, Chen Binhua stressed that during the war, all the Chinese people, including Taiwan compatriots, put up valiant resistance to the enemy and ultimately won the first complete victory over external invasion in China's modern history.

He seriously warned Lai Qingde and his accomplices that any attempt to airbrush the history of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and World War II would be doomed to failure, and any forces seeking to go against the Chinese people and split the state would only lead to their own destruction. -0-

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

Over eight years, Moscow entrepreneurs have purchased 27 premises in cultural heritage sites from the city following a competition and restored 18 of them. This was reported by Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction Vladimir Efimov.

"Selling premises in historical buildings as part of competitions is a format of cooperation between the city and entrepreneurs, which has been implemented since 2017. Investors purchase real estate in areas with high business activity and, after restoration, can use historical objects for doing business. Thanks to this, the capital's infrastructure is developing, jobs are being created, and architectural monuments are getting a second life. Over more than eight years, entrepreneurs have purchased 27 premises with an area of more than four thousand square meters from the city as a result of competitions. Of these, 18 have already been put in order – this is almost 2.8 thousand square meters of real estate, the rest are still undergoing restoration," said Vladimir Efimov.

In the first half of 2025, two premises in the center and one facility in the northeast and southeast of Moscow were restored.

"The largest number of premises restored since 2017 are located in the center of the capital: five in the Tverskoy district, four in Presnensky, three in Khamovniki, two in Basmanny. Investors have restored one property each and are already using it for business in the Zamoskvorechye and Krasnoselsky districts. The historical value of these buildings makes them attractive to tourists and clients, while after restoration, the premises in them meet modern requirements for comfort and safety. Convenient transport accessibility and developed infrastructure nearby also help attract visitors, creating favorable conditions for business development," she specified. Ekaterina Solovieva, Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department of City Property.

The work that needs to be done to restore the premises in architectural monuments and the deadlines for their implementation are specified in the purchase and sale agreements. Compliance with security obligations is monitored by a special commission, which includes representatives of the Department of City Property andDepartment of Cultural Heritage.

Earlier, Sergei Sobyanin ordered the restoration to be carried out by at least 150 objects cultural heritage annually.

According to the legislation on cultural heritage sites, owners and users of architectural monuments are obliged to preserve their historical appearance. Any work in such buildings is carried out according to an agreed project, with the permission and under the supervision of specialists from the Department of Cultural Heritage of the City of Moscow. Administrative and criminal liability is provided for violation of legislation in the field of protection of cultural heritage sites.

The Moscow 2030 Forum will discuss the care of cultural heritage sites

Translation. Region: Russian Federal

Source: Moscow Government – Government of Moscow –

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

Caring for cultural heritage is one of the most important areas of work for municipal services. Visitors to the forum site "Territory of the Future. Moscow 2030" can try themselves in the role of utility workers in the Horseshoe zone in the Luzhniki Olympic Complex. Here, a model of the Stone Flower fountain has been installed for guests, which can be cleaned with a jet of water under pressure.

Historical and cultural monuments in Moscow are maintained in proper condition with special care. Specialists not only carefully monitor the cleanliness of the objects, but also carry out large-scale work to preserve and restore them.

Thus, fountains in the capital are constantly maintained. Twice a year, before the start of the season and after its completion, city workers thoroughly wash the structures, and during the entire period of their operation, they carry out regular cleaning. In the off-season, specialists also check the functionality of the structures and repair them if necessary.

In 2018–2019, all 14 fountains of the Central Alley were restored at VDNKh, as well as three fountains — cultural heritage sites, including the Stone Flower, a model of which is presented at the forum. This was the first comprehensive restoration for the structures in more than 60 years. Specialists returned them to their historical appearance and completely updated the engineering systems.

The forum "Territory of the Future. Moscow 2030" on September 10 at 18:00 will also feature a lecture by the Museum of Moscow Municipal Economy "What do Moscow fountains hide?". Listeners will be able to learn about the history of Moscow fountains – from the first structures in the estates of Peter the Great to modern light and music complexes. Visitors will be told facts about the fountains of VDNKh, the oldest fountain in Moscow and other fountains in the capital, as well as about the work of specialists who take care of these structures throughout the year.

On the same day at 19:00, there will be a lecture "And I walk, I walk on the bridge", dedicated to the history of bridge construction in Moscow from ancient times to the present day and their maintenance. Since 2011, each road and bridge facility has undergone various types of repairs. Among them are cultural heritage sites of regional significance – the Bolshoy Moskvoretsky and Bolshoy Kamenny bridges. Their major repairs in 2018-2021 were carried out by specialists of the State Budgetary Institution "Gormst" for the first time since their construction – in 80 years.

And at the Moscow Capital Repairs Fund station, guests will try themselves in the role of restorers of cultural heritage sites. They will be able to work with miniature sculptures of chimeras located on the apartment building of the Rossiya insurance company on Sretensky Boulevard, and learn more about the restoration of residential buildings – cultural heritage sites. Visitors will cover the plaster figures with gold leaf and will be able to take the finished work home with them.

Since 2020, specialists from the capital's Capital Repair Fund have restored more than 30 apartment buildings – architectural monuments. Each project is individual, with its own subtleties and details, which the craftsmen carefully restore.

"Territory of the Future. Moscow 2030"— is an opportunity to get acquainted with the future on a city-wide scale by trying out its technologies that are already being used in the capital today. Children and adults will be able to communicate with robots and artificial intelligence, watch modern unmanned transport in action, play on technologically advanced sports grounds, study educational, medical and industrial innovations, immerse themselves in VR space and much more.

A large-scale forum is being held within the framework of the project "Summer in Moscow". From August 1 to September 14, dozens of venues will host cultural, sports, educational and other events dedicated to the development of one of the most modern megacities in the world. Information about the venues and a detailed program are available on the official website of the forum Moskov 2030.mos.ru.

SPbPU and the Multicenter for Social and Labor Integration of the Leningrad Region have joined forces to support veterans of the SVO

Translation. Region: Russian Federal

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

On September 4, a ceremonial event dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the institution took place in Vsevolozhsk at the site of the Multicenter for Social and Labor Integration. In the presence of the Governor of the Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko, the rector of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University Andrey Rudskoy and the director of the Multicenter Irina Drozdenko signed an agreement on strategic partnership. The agreement provides for the development of joint activities in the educational, scientific, technical and social spheres with an emphasis on supporting participants and veterans of the special military operation and is aimed at strengthening the country's technological leadership in accordance with the goals of the federal program "Priority-2030".

The cooperation is being developed as a systemic project of SPbPU — from identifying educational needs and forming a network of partners to designing digital tools and implementing adapted retraining programs. The work is coordinated by the Directorate of Continuing Education and Industry Partnership of SPbPU together with the Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Materials and Transport of the university, which ensures the integration of engineering training with social support mechanisms.

In the near future, a network training and production center for training operators of CNC machines will be opened on the basis of the Multicenter. The emergence of such a laboratory will become an important milestone in applied engineering training and will expand the opportunities for professional retraining for those who have returned from the front and are striving for sustainable employment in industry.

Commenting on the agreements reached, Andrey Rudskoy emphasized: Over the past ten years, the Multicenter has become not just an educational institution, but a real school of social integration and a reliable support for those who especially need help. Support for veterans of the SVO at the Polytechnic is based on a systemic approach: we do not limit ourselves to individual courses, but build holistic educational trajectories – from diagnostics and career guidance to professional retraining and employment. This format allows not only to adapt to civilian life, but also to obtain in-demand competencies for participation in the development of the economy and technological leadership of the country.

Vice-Rector for Continuing and Pre-University Education at SPbPU Dmitry Tikhonov also outlined his position: Cooperation with the Multicenter is of particular importance to us in the context of creating the Polytechnic Center for Professional Development and New Competencies for Veterans of the SVO. The Polytechnic is already launching the first programs and recruiting military personnel who are fulfilling their military duty for training. In the coming months, we will launch pilot courses to fine-tune the mechanisms of mentoring, internships, and subsequent employment. Our task is to ensure a rapid, practice-oriented transition to in-demand engineering specializations.

The signing of the agreement was a logical continuation of the development of the partnership between SPbPU and the Multicenter insupport for veterans of the SVO and their involvement in solving technological leadership problems. The current stage expands the horizons of cooperation, transforming individual initiatives into a holistic and replicable model – with clear entrances for participants, transparent navigation, mentor support and direct communication with industry requests. The combined efforts of SPbPU and the Multicenter form a sustainable practice that combines respect for human experience with modern technological solutions, and serves as a basis for further scaling in the interests of the region and the country.
