This academic year, 445 educational programs, including 89 new ones, have been prepared for students by advanced engineering schools (AES) with the direct participation of technology partners. These partners include PJSC Tatneft named after V.D. Shashin, Rosatom State Corporation, PJSC Sberbank, JSC UEC, Roscosmos State Corporation, JSC UZGA, and LLC Sibur.

By order of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the number of advanced engineering schools should be increased to 100 by 2030. A competition will determine which university will open a PRI School, with one of the fundamental requirements being the university's availability of industrial partners willing to invest in the project at the outset.

Currently, there are 50 advanced engineering schools operating at leading Russian universities. More than 350 companies serve as industrial partners.

"At the direction of President Vladimir Putin, advanced engineering schools are operating in Russia as part of the 'Youth and Children' national project. Their mission is to train top-notch engineering professionals and develop solutions that will ensure our country's technological leadership. The PISHs actively collaborate with partners. Over the course of the program, industrial partners have invested approximately 40 billion rubles, and regional authorities have invested over 2.5 billion rubles, in the development of these schools. Collaboration with businesses helps the PISHs teach students practical skills and produce sought-after specialists," said Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.

From 2022 to 2025, nearly 34 billion rubles were allocated from the federal budget to advanced engineering schools.

Minister of Education and Science Valery Falkov noted that thanks to the well-established ties between universities and businesses, they are able to create unique, modern programs that attract large numbers of students. According to 2024 data, approximately 58,000 students applied for the 6,000 available places in engineering schools.

"It's important that businesses not only finance programs to develop advanced engineering schools, but also participate in the development of educational programs that meet the needs of the real economy, provide internships and placements, and facilitate graduate employment. More than 3,000 of our engineering school graduates are already working at high-tech companies," the minister emphasized.

It should be noted that 89 new educational programs have been created in the following areas: "Informatics and Computer Engineering," "Electronics, Radio Engineering, and Communication Systems," "Mechanical Engineering," "Aviation and Rocket-Space Engineering," and "Control in Technical Systems."

To become a member of a leading engineering school's team at their university, students must complete tests established by the school itself based on the specifics of their educational program. Most programs are designed for senior students in engineering majors. Details about each leading engineering school can be found on the project's website: HTTPS: //enginers2030.ru/.

On September 22, the State University of Management held a ceremony to inaugurate Master's students. First-year Master's students from the Institute of Distance Education at the State University of Management participated in the ceremony.

This traditional event takes place annually immediately after the university's admissions process is published to introduce new students to the university, inspire new part-time students to study, and facilitate their transition into the university.

During the official part of the meeting, the students were congratulated on their admission by the Institute's Director, Sergei Lenshin; Deputy Director, Elena Shnyreva; heads and deputy heads of the Institute's departments; and group curators.

Following this, a concert program prepared by the GUU Fine Arts Student Council began. Its main goal was to unite and entertain the newcomers, create a friendly atmosphere for first-year students to get acquainted, and introduce them to the Institute's traditions and the activities of the distance learning student government. The event concluded, as usual, with a song performed by the entire GUU Fine Arts Student Council.

We congratulate our first-year Master's students on the beginning of a new chapter in their lives and wish them success in all their endeavors!

BEIJING, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) — Chinese Defense Ministry spokesperson Zhang Xiaogang on Thursday called on the Philippines to immediately stop its provocative actions in the South China Sea.

He made the statement while commenting at the request of reporters on a recent incident in which more than 10 Philippine service vessels illegally entered Chinese territorial waters near Huangyan Dao, after which they were driven out by the Chinese Coast Guard.

Zhang Xiaogang emphasized that Huangyan Dao is an inherent part of Chinese territory. It lies outside the Philippines' territory, as defined by a number of international treaties.

"The Philippines has repeatedly committed provocative actions that violate China's sovereignty and create tension in the South China Sea. The Philippines is the real troublemaker and destroyer of peace. We call on the Philippines to immediately cease all provocative actions before it is too late," he emphasized.

China will continue to take decisive measures to protect its territorial sovereignty, as well as maritime rights and interests, he concluded. -0-

UN, September 25 (Xinhua) — China supports the creation of a more effective and pragmatic United Nations through reforms aimed at enhancing its quality and effectiveness. Chinese State Council Premier Li Qiang stated this during a meeting with UN General Assembly President Annalena Baerbock on the sidelines of the general debate of the 80th session of the UNGA on Wednesday.

He also expressed China's firm commitment to upholding the authority and role of the UN.

According to Li Qiang, as the world enters a new period of upheaval and transformation, characterized by growing instability and uncertainty, the role of the UN is becoming increasingly important.

Noting that Chinese President Xi Jinping recently launched the Global Governance Initiative, Li Qiang said the initiative aims to support the UN in fulfilling its proper role in global affairs and encourage countries to cooperate more closely and more effectively address contemporary challenges through the UN and other multilateral mechanisms.

China is willing to strengthen coordination and communication with the UN and all relevant parties to jointly implement the Global Governance Initiative, promote a more just and equitable global governance system, and work to build a community with a shared future, the Chinese Premier said.

Li Qiang called on the UN to achieve balanced progress in all three pillars – peace, development and human rights – and pay more attention to the development agenda.

He said the UN must strengthen global governance in emerging areas such as artificial intelligence, cyberspace, polar regions and outer space, taking into account the legitimate proposals and demands of a vast number of developing countries.

Noting that the Taiwan issue is the core of China's core interests, Li Qiang said China believes that A. Baerbock and the UN will continue to uphold the one-China principle.

For her part, A. Baerbock stated that China has always been a firm and strong supporter of the UN and has played a leading role in promoting global development and solving global problems.

She stated that the four global initiatives proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping are fully consistent with the purposes and principles of the UN Charter. She also expressed hope for cooperation with China within the framework of this year's UN General Assembly theme—"Better Together: 80 Years and Beyond for Peace, Development, and Human Rights"—to deepen cooperation in three key areas, particularly development, and to jointly advance global peace and development.

Since UNGA Resolution 2758 is unambiguous, the 80th session of the UNGA will firmly adhere to the one-China principle, concluded A. Baerbock. –0–
