The accumulated production of Taas-Yuryakh Neftegazodobycha (part of Rosneft) has reached 40 million tons of oil since the start of development of the Srednebotuobinskoye oil and gas condensate field, located in the Lensky district of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

Achieving this indicator became possible thanks to the coordinated work of the highly qualified team of Taas-Yuryakh Neftegazodobycha, the early commissioning of key oil field facilities, and the use of advanced technologies.

A significant part of the deposit's reserves are located in zones with an extensive gas cap. Such geological conditions require the use of innovative oil production technologies and the development of new engineering solutions.

At the Srednebotuobinskoye field, a complex of highly effective methods was used: deep seismic exploration to search for promising oil and gas deposits, multi-hole drilling, hydraulic fracturing operations, the introduction of devices for monitoring the inflow into wells and a system for maintaining reservoir pressure in the gas-oil-water zone, and others.

The world's first 15-hole horizontal well was drilled at the field, named "Birch Sheet" for its configuration. With a total length of 12,792 m, the well has the longest drilling length in Russia along a collector – 10,310 meters. The productivity of "Birch Sheet" is 10 times higher than a conventional horizontal well. Rosneft's unique project for the construction of "Birch Sheet" was awarded first place in the All-Russian competition "New Idea".

"Taas-Yuryakh Neftegazodobycha" provides comfortable and safe working conditions. The shift housing complex at the field has a sports and recreation complex with a sauna and a swimming pool, a canteen with equipment that provides a full cycle of hot meals, and a medical center.

Rosneft pays great attention to supporting educational, social, cultural and educational projects in Yakutia. In the village of Chapaevo, Khangalassky District, the Company built and equipped a new building of the Small Academy of Sciences with a boarding school for 100 people. The Academy has become a hub for research and project activities for schoolchildren from the entire Far Eastern region.

The company is actively involved in the development of the Botuobuyinsky nasleg of the Mirninsky district. With the assistance of oil workers, a multifunctional cultural center is being built in the village of Tas-Yuryakh, which will become a place of attraction for social and cultural life. Previously, a kindergarten and a school stadium were built for the indigenous people of the region.

With the support of Taas-Yuryakh Neftegazodobycha, the Congress of Reindeer Herders is held every four years – a large-scale event during which participants discuss issues related to preserving the traditional way of life, attracting young people to national crafts and other relevant topics. The congress is of great importance for the indigenous peoples of the North, traditionally engaged in reindeer herding.

Rosneft allocated over 4 billion rubles for air protection in 2024

Translation. Region: Russian Federal

Source: Rosneft – An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

Every year on September 7, the International Day of Clean Air is celebrated, which emphasizes the importance of initiatives aimed at improving air quality. Rosneft, as part of its environmental activities, allocated more than 4 billion rubles in 2024 to protect the atmospheric air.

Responsible attitude to the environment is one of the key principles of Rosneft's activities. The Company's "green" investments by the end of 2024 reached 74 billion rubles and exceeded the level of the previous year by 16%. In just three years, Rosneft has allocated almost 200 billion rubles for environmental protection.

In support of the Federal Clean Air Project and as part of promoting Russia’s National Development Goals, the Company has developed an action plan that provides for the creation of a corporate program to reduce industrial emissions.

Rosneft subsidiaries implement a set of measures in the course of their production activities, which include investment projects with an environmental effect, and the use of the most effective environmental protection equipment. The company develops and implements air quality control systems, installs stationary air quality monitoring posts, and equips mobile environmental laboratories with modern equipment.

The Company's key strategic benchmark is achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. For several years, Rosneft has been implementing a program to control fugitive emissions of methane and other hydrocarbons. In 2024, over 3,000 km of pipelines were inspected by aerial monitoring. In addition, over 800 objects were inspected at the production sites of enterprises using ground monitoring equipment.

The Company's environmental goals include increasing production of natural gas as a fuel with lower greenhouse gas emissions, as well as developing and launching new products that enable consumers to reduce their environmental impact, reduce their carbon footprint and improve the efficiency of their production facilities.

Rosneft traditionally pays great attention to the preservation and restoration of natural resources, including forests. Forest plantations help clean the air and are a natural absorber of greenhouse gases. In 2024, the Company's enterprises planted over 11 million trees of various species in the regions of their presence. In total, Rosneft has planted about 37 million seedlings over the past three years.

Rosneft Scientific Institute in Tyumen opened a postgraduate industrial program "Digital technologies in the development and operation of oil and gas fields" at the basic department of the Tyumen Industrial University. The educational program is being implemented within the framework of a pilot project of the Ministry of Education and Science.

The main feature of industrial postgraduate studies is that each postgraduate student is assigned two scientific supervisors – one from the university and one from the employer. On the basis of the corporate scientific institute, under the guidance of its practitioners, postgraduate students participate in work on real projects. The scientific work of postgraduate students is aimed at solving the Company's current problems – increasing the efficiency of production management through the digitalization of oil and gas fields.

By combining studies with work at a research institute, practical training makes up more than 75% of the industrial postgraduate program. Postgraduate students are given the opportunity to actively engage in research activities using modern corporate software provided free of charge by the Company. By the beginning of the academic year, a new classroom was equipped and technically furnished with the support of Rosneft.

Today, the Tyumen Institute of Rosneft implements training programs at two basic departments in leading universities of the Tyumen region. In the 2025-2026 academic year, the number of students in the master's programs "Physics of the Subsoil" and "Digital Technologies in Oil and Gas" reached seventy. The first graduates are already working at industry enterprises, successfully creating and applying innovative solutions from the Company.

Enterprises of the Tyumen Rosneft group regularly take part in the annual job fair of the Tyumen Industrial University. In 2024, the Rosneft Research Institute in Tyumen opened a basic department at the Tyumen State University. The Department of Subsoil Physics is focused on training specialists in the field of building digital models of oil and gas fields.

Since 2005, Rosneft has been implementing a corporate continuous education system called “School – College/University – Enterprise”, which ensures the formation of an external personnel reserve and a constant influx of young specialists with a high level of training into the Company. Rosneft cooperates with 203 educational partner organizations, including 75 Russian universities. Rosneft annually invests more than 1 billion rubles in the development of educational partner organizations.
