Volunteer Day is celebrated annually in Russia on December 5th. Rosneft enterprises host gatherings and meetings where the Company's volunteers summarize the volunteer movement's work over the past year, discuss plans for its development, and recognize the most outstanding activists.
Over 150 volunteers participated in the annual Volunteer Gathering at Bashneft Oil Company. The volunteers presented progress on the "Good Deeds Platform" program in 2025, shared their experiences, and discussed employee motivation for participating in initiatives. Volunteer project summaries and awards for the best volunteers were also held at Novokuibyshevsk Petrochemical Company, RN-Purneftegaz, Kharampurneftegaz, RN Severo-Zapad, and other enterprises.
Corporate volunteering plays a significant role in addressing socially significant issues in the regions where Rosneft operates and encompasses a variety of activities, including humanitarian, social, sports, and environmental issues.
Events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War became a key focus of the past year. Rosneft volunteers held over 1,670 events across the country aimed at preserving historical memory, strengthening ties between generations, and patriotism. Employees provided assistance and congratulated veterans, cleaned and repaired monuments and military graves, and conducted courage lessons at sponsored children's institutions and corporate museums. Young people from the "Movement of the First" supported many of the oil workers' initiatives. Around 4,000 children and teenagers from the Movement participated in the patriotic events.
The solemn "Candle of Memory" event, which brought together over 150 Samotlorneftegaz volunteers, symbolized the continuity of generations. At the memorial to fellow Samotlorneftegaz soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War, participants lit a thousand candles and formed them into the word "We Remember."
Tyumenneftegaz held more than 10 events. Among them was a courage lesson at the Polar Star educational center in the village of Tazovsky in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. During the courage lesson, volunteers told children from the Movement of the First, the Yunarmiya, cadets, and schoolchildren from the Seventieth Spring search squad about the historical events of the war years and the exploits of heroes born in Yamal.
Volunteers from Vostsibneftegaz and Slavneft-Krasnoyarskneftegaz took part in a cleanup at Krasnoyarsk's oldest necropolis, which is included in the Unified State Register of Cultural Heritage Sites. The staff tidied up the graves from the Great Patriotic War.
RN-Krasnodarneftegaz employees took part in cleaning up the burial sites of WWII veterans at Vsesvyatskoye Cemetery in Krasnodar.
Volunteers at the Novokuibyshevsk Oil Refinery published a collection of short stories, "A Feat Forever Inscribed in History," based on the memoirs of factory workers who served in the war and held literary readings for Novokuibyshevsk students and schoolchildren. The refiners created an online information portal featuring video stories and memoirs from the plant's veterans, along with archival documents and photographs. The refinery workers also organized a traveling exhibition dedicated to the plant's hero cities and veterans who participated in the Great Patriotic War.
Volunteers from the Novokuibyshevsk Petrochemical Company organized a cleanup of military graves and a bicycle ride with flower-laying at monuments and memorials dedicated to the Great Patriotic War.
The Angarsk Petrochemical Company's Museum of Labor Glory is working to preserve historical memory, foster civic responsibility in the city's younger generation, and host patriotic lectures by company veterans commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.
Volunteers also organized patriotic car and bike rides, planted alleys of fame in many cities, unfurled the 80-meter St. George ribbon, and visited war veterans.
In addition to events commemorating the anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, Rosneft continued to develop its large-scale corporate volunteer program, the "Good Deeds Platform." Employees of the corporate scientific institute in Samara annually participate in supporting young patients in the Oncology, Hematology, and Chemotherapy Department of the Ivanova Hospital. Volunteers from the corporate institute in Tyumen supported the All-Russian Public Charitable Foundation "Russian Children's Fund" and helped children get ready for school, purchasing school bags and stocking them with school supplies. Volunteers from the corporate institute in Ufa donated sets of toys, books, clothing, and shoes to low-income families and children in difficult circumstances.
The Syzran Oil Refinery successfully implements the "PRO-hobby" volunteer project. Volunteer employees conduct themed workshops in various areas, including safe skating with the company's national hockey and football teams, as well as decorating Christmas tree ornaments, and more. ROSPAN International volunteers held a "Kindness Fair," where they made jewelry, household items, paintings, and embroidery, which they exchanged for essential items at the fair for the institution they sponsor. Oil workers have been supporting the Novy Urengoy City Society for People with Disabilities for four years.
RN-Vankor supports the children of the Rostok Regional Family and Children's Center and the Raduga Rehabilitation Center. Staff members collect and donate books to the centers' libraries, prepare gifts for the children for Knowledge Day and New Year's, and hold community cleanups on the facilities' grounds in the spring and fall, renovating the buildings' interiors.
Over 2,000 Bashneft volunteers participated in the "School Gift," "Santa Claus's Gift," and "Rosneft's Christmas Tree" children's events, supporting 25 sponsored institutions. Various celebrations and performances are held for children in difficult life situations, they are invited to large-scale sporting and cultural events, they are visited at social institutions, and they receive stationery sets before the start of the school year and gifts for the New Year.
As part of the "Give a Child Summer" campaign, Komsomolsk Oil Refinery employees are collecting sports equipment, craft kits, and board games for the children at the sponsored Orphanage No. 20. They are also planting flowers in the playground's flower beds with the children.
Samara oil workers help children from large, low-income, and single-parent families. For Knowledge Day, oil workers donated stationery to the residents of the "Family" social assistance center in Samara's Oktyabrsky District. As part of the "Children of Donbas" charity event, volunteers collected gifts and held creative workshops. As part of the "Rosneft Christmas Tree" campaign, Samaraneftegaz employees are making dreams come true for residents of a social rehabilitation center for minors in the Samara Region.
Environmental volunteering is an integral part of the environmental initiatives of Rosneft subsidiaries. Every year, the Company's enterprises conduct public and natural area improvement campaigns and collect plastic bottle caps, waste paper, and batteries.
In 2025, the Company's subsidiaries recycled 1,000 tons of waste paper. Oil workers take a responsible approach to preserving the environment for future generations, and therefore annually participate in various environmental campaigns and cleanups of urban areas, waterfronts, recreation areas, and natural areas. Employees regularly replenish water resources in the regions where they operate with valuable fish species.
The Novokuibyshevsk Oil Refinery, the Saratov Oil Refinery, the Novokuibyshevsk Petrochemical Company, and Samatlorneftegaz organize annual plogging runs in popular recreation areas, combining running with cleanups. Family members, students from sponsored institutions, and representatives of the youth organization "Movement of the First" join the events.
Sakhalinmorneftegaz-Shelf volunteers conducted environmental campaigns at the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk Botanical Garden, resulting in the creation of a new exhibit featuring rare plants—various varieties of conifers, Chinese redbud, maple, perennial anemone, a variety of peonies, and more.
Verkhnechonskneftegaz volunteers supported a large-scale environmental cleanup effort in the Pribaikalsky National Park. Near the village of Tonta (Olkhonsky District of the Pribaikalsky region), oil workers collected 8 tons of trash.
This year, more than 300 environmental initiatives were implemented, involving more than 30,000 Rosneft employees and their family members.
RN-Purneftegaz volunteers held a series of educational events for children, "Grains of Goodness," dedicated to the nature and animals of Yamal. Environmental education lessons introduced children to migratory and wintering birds and principles of caring for the environment through play.
Another area of volunteerism in which both adult employees and their children actively participate is helping animals in shelters. The companies regularly hold drives to collect food and care items for pets, and organize team trips to help clean the shelter grounds, repair enclosures, and walk the animals.
Volunteers from the Ryazan Oil Refinery Company, as part of the "Feed the Bison" campaign, delivered three tons of feed to the Oka State Nature Biosphere Reserve: apples, carrots, pumpkins, squash, and potatoes, essential for a balanced diet for these endangered animals during the cold season.
Young activists from the "Movement of the First" have become reliable supporters of Rosneft volunteers. Schoolchildren and teenagers eagerly respond to the call to participate in thematic and environmental projects.
