Specialists from the city services complex have completed the repair of the main fountain in the Sokolniki Park of Culture and Leisure. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Public Utilities and Improvement Petr Biryukov.

"The fountain is the main decoration of the park's Fountain Square and a favorite place for city residents to relax. It was built in 1958 and is a round structure with a number of jet groups. We are currently carrying out the second stage of improvement and rehabilitation of the park's territory, as part of which the fountain was updated," noted Petr Biryukov.

The work involved 40 specialists and eight units of equipment. The craftsmen replaced the granite cladding inside and outside the fountain bowl with a total area of over 230 square meters. They also updated the staircase approaches: they sorted out the granite steps, changed the cladding of the retaining walls and parapets. At the final stage, they completed the granite paving of the sidewalks in the adjacent territory.

In addition, they plan to renovate the amphitheater around the fountain, and install canopies on the square itself, under which they will place trade pavilions, chairs, benches, tables and swings.

As part of the second stage of work in Sokolniki Park, the parterre area from the main entrance arch to Festivalnaya Square will be transformed. The entrance group will be put in order and six new round fountain bowls will be installed. Since 2022, almost 10 hectares of land have been allocated in the Kommunarka district on the territory of the administrative and business center for the construction of multifunctional complexes as part of the implementation of large-scale investment projects (MaIP). The formation of new centers of public and business activity will become an important stage in the development of Kommunarka, contributing to the transformation of this part of the capital into a modern district," she noted.

This summer, 20 bus and electric bus routes have been adjusted, and 13 new ones have been launched. Remote monitoring of patients undergoing chemotherapy has been launched in Moscow oncology centers. More than 1.6 thousand cancer patients are already participating in the project. A new stage in this system was the project of remote support for a certain number of patients on chemotherapy in Moscow cancer centers. Now, between courses of treatment, they can fill out questionnaires about their health online and consult with doctors as part of telemedicine appointments. This allows specialists to receive up-to-date data on the dynamics of a person's condition, continuously monitor it, promptly track critical changes, adjust treatment tactics and remotely prescribe the necessary tests. Today, the project already has more than 1,600 participants; in six months, they have completed more than nine thousand surveys and over three thousand consultations," said Anastasia Rakova.
