BEIJING, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) — A burial ceremony for the remains of 30 Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) will be held Saturday in Shenyang, capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs said Tuesday.

The remains of Chinese soldiers killed during the War to Resist American Aggression and Aid the Korean People (1950-1953) will be returned to China from the Republic of Korea (ROK) on Friday, the ministry said.

A Chinese high-ranking delegation, an honor guard of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) and a Y-20 military transport aircraft of the PLA Air Force will carry out the mission of receiving the remains of the deceased and repatriating them to their homeland.

The burial ceremony will be held at the CPV cemetery in Shenyang on Saturday. Representatives from central and local governments, military personnel, war veterans, representatives of the relatives of the fallen soldiers and city residents will pay their respects to the fallen.

This repatriation was the 12th since 2014, when a corresponding agreement was signed between China and the Republic of Korea.

From 2014 to 2024, both countries, in accordance with international law and humanitarian principles, have successfully completed 11 consecutive operations to transfer the remains of 981 KPVs from the Republic of Korea, as well as related artifacts.

According to available data, nearly 200,000 KPV soldiers died during the war, most of whom were buried on the Korean Peninsula. -0-

First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov visited Bauman Moscow State Technical University and took part in the launch ceremony of Russian ultra-low temperature cryostats and cloud access to the Russian hybrid quantum-classical computing complex.

The First Deputy Prime Minister is the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Bauman Moscow State Technical University. The developed cryogenic units and cloud service are focused on research in the field of implementation of advanced technologies. The dissolution cryostat is technological equipment for conducting experiments at extremely low temperatures below 10 mK. It allows creating conditions close to absolute zero (temperature, electromagnetic fields), necessary for working with new quantum effects and phenomena.

Until 2020, Russian scientists used imported equipment. After the introduction of Western sanctions, the need for domestic equipment became critical. Over two and a half years, within the framework of the program of the Ministry of Education and Science, Bauman Moscow State Technical University together with the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "VNIIA named after N.L. Dukhov" and industrial partner LLC "Cryotrade Engineering" developed the Yaranga dilution cryostat and the Yurta optical cryostat.

The Russian hybrid quantum-classical computing complex, developed on the basis of the Yaranga cryostat, Russian quantum ECB, control systems and software, was also launched in the cloud. It allows modeling molecular structures for the development of new pharmaceuticals, optimizing complex logistics and production chains, solving machine learning problems with a qualitatively new level of efficiency and performing many other calculations in the shortest possible time.

During his visit to Bauman Moscow State Technical University, the First Deputy Prime Minister viewed an exhibition of Russian measuring equipment, including for educational institutions. Head of Rosstandart Anton Shalayev presented Denis Manturov with developments from more than 30 domestic manufacturers.

Speaking at the session "Use of Russian Measuring Equipment", the First Deputy Prime Minister conveyed best wishes from Russian President Vladimir Putin to the participants of the event. Denis Manturov noted that equipment that meets current and future challenges should be used at all stages of training personnel for industry.

"This is all the more relevant given our country's strong position in global metrology. In recent years, Russia has formed one of the most powerful reference bases on the planet, which includes 161 state primary standards. Overall, we are second in the world in terms of measurement capabilities. Every year, about 4,000 new types of measuring instruments and equipment are admitted to the domestic market, more than 80% of which are unique domestic developments," said Denis Manturov.

Dmitry Patrushev: Russian farmers have harvested almost 105 million tons of grain.

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev held a meeting "On the progress of seasonal field work in 2025". It was attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture, Roshydromet, Rosagroleasing, representatives of other interested departments and specialized businesses, as well as heads of Russian regions.

"Seasonal field work in Russia is proceeding normally and according to schedule. At the moment, harvesting is underway in all grain-producing regions. Last week, we exceeded the 100 million tonne mark. And today, farmers have already harvested almost 105 million tonnes. The yield exceeds last year's. Thus, the forecast harvest of 135 million tonnes is maintained," said Dmitry Patrushev.

In addition to grain, other agricultural crops are currently being actively harvested. The Deputy Prime Minister reported that the volumes of sunflower, sugar beet, as well as vegetables and potatoes in the organized sector are expected to be at or above the 2024 level.

Winter crops have already been sown on an area of 4 million hectares, and have started in almost half of the Russian regions. In total, approximately 20 million hectares are planned for winter crops.

Dmitry Patrushev noted that the Russian Government is allocating more than 105 billion rubles this year to directly support agricultural producers.

Support for preferential short-term lending for seasonal field work has been significantly increased this year, with more than 18 billion rubles allocated for the first time. This amount of financing also creates a reserve for the future harvest.

Following the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the primary task is to complete the harvest with minimal losses and ensure the safety of the harvest. To do this, it is important to monitor the readiness of drying and storage facilities, including elevators and grain storage facilities.

In terms of winter sowing, Dmitry Patrushev instructed to ensure control over the timeliness of work, the phytosanitary condition of crops, as well as the provision of farmers with the necessary resources – agricultural machinery, seeds and mineral fertilizers. The Deputy Prime Minister tasked the Ministry of Agriculture, together with the Ministry of Energy, with monitoring the availability of fuel.

Dmitry Patrushev emphasized that the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, together with regional leaders, should constantly monitor the delivery of funds to agricultural producers in all areas of state support.
