Bishkek, November 20 (Xinhua) — Kyrgyzstan launched the issuance of its national stablecoin, USDKG, on Thursday. This digital token is backed by physical gold and pegged to the US dollar. The press service of the Kyrgyz president announced this.

During a special ceremony, participants pressed the "Start Issue" button, officially initiating the release of 50 million USDKG tokens into circulation on the Tron network, each equivalent to one US dollar and fully backed by physical gold.

Designed as a transparent, secure, and stable digital currency, USDKG combines the reliability of gold with the efficiency of blockchain technology. Its launch opens new opportunities to strengthen Kyrgyzstan's position in the global financial ecosystem. It forms the foundation for the development of a Web3 ecosystem of decentralized services enabling public-private sector interaction through blockchain solutions.

In addition, USDKG increases Kyrgyzstan's investment attractiveness by creating conditions for capital inflows and technological partnerships.

"By introducing a stablecoin backed by real assets, the initiative strengthens trust in financial innovation and demonstrates that digital instruments can be backed by material assets and serve economic development," the presidential press service said in a statement.

Beijing, November 20 (Xinhua) — Since September 15, when China introduced a visa-free regime for holders of ordinary Russian passports, passenger traffic from Russia through the Dongning port in Heilongjiang Province (northeast China) has exceeded 10,000 over the past two months, representing a 71.3 percent year-on-year increase, according to the news portal chinanews.com.cn, citing data from the Dongning city government.

As a reminder, China introduced a trial visa-free regime for Russian citizens holding regular passports from September 15, 2025, to September 14, 2026. Russian citizens holding valid passports can visit China visa-free for business, tourism, visiting relatives and friends, exchanging visits, and transit. Their visa-free stay in China cannot exceed 30 days.

The Dongning Port is located in an important area of the Northeast Asian Economic and Trade Corridor and is an important channel for expanding Heilongjiang Province's ties with the outside world.

Since the introduction of visa-free travel for Russian citizens, Dongning authorities have taken advantage of the Belt and Road Initiative's (BRI) northern corridor to boost tourism and consumption, thereby facilitating the city's development and opening up to the outside world.

In October, Dongning hosted the 3rd eSports Carnival featuring representatives from China, Russia, and the Republic of Korea, as well as the 7th China-Russia Open Youth and Teen Basketball Tournament. Over 200 Russian representatives participated in these events, which also attracted over 2,000 Russian tourists.

At the same time, the Dongning Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine has offered discounted medical examination and service packages to Russian tourists, which has also increased the city's attractiveness for tourists from Russia. -0-

According to the ministry, since the start of the fall semester this year, universities across the country have collected and offered graduates more than 12 million job openings through a series of campus recruitment events. -0-

Ankara, November 20 (Xinhua) — Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy here on Wednesday, emphasized the need to advance diplomatic efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

“It would be useful for the Istanbul process to resume in a comprehensive format capable of addressing the issues that are currently pressing,” R.T. Erdogan said at a joint press conference, calling for renewed international support for the initiative.

He reiterated that Turkey is ready to discuss with Russia “any proposals that could accelerate the ceasefire and pave the way for a just and lasting peace,” and called on all partners seeking to stop the bloodshed to take a constructive approach to resuming this process.

Russia and Ukraine held a third round of peace talks in Istanbul on July 23, 2025, agreeing to a prisoner exchange but making no progress in ending the conflict.

For his part, V. Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine hopes to resume prisoner exchanges by the end of the year. "Turkey is providing strong support on this issue," he said, adding that Kyiv believes in "the strength of Turkish diplomacy and its ability to be understood in Moscow."

He thanked R.T. Erdoğan for Ankara's position throughout the conflict. "Turkey's principled position on the war with Russia is very important for Ukraine," Zelenskyy said, expressing gratitude for "cooperation that helps protect lives and Turkey's clear approach to all key aspects" of the ongoing conflict.

Beijing, November 20 (Xinhua) — Japan must remember that Taiwan is China's Taiwan, and whatever happens to Taiwan is none of Japan's business, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at a regular ministry press conference on Thursday.

Regarding Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's remarks about the so-called "Taiwan emergency," many Chinese believe that Japan bears historical guilt over the Taiwan issue and is the party least competent to discuss Taiwan-related issues.

Asked by a journalist to comment on such Chinese opinions, Mao Ning recalled that Japan forcibly occupied Taiwan and established colonial rule there for half a century. The Japanese invaders committed countless crimes in Taiwan.

This year marks the 80th anniversary of Taiwan's liberation from Japanese occupation, Mao Ning continued, adding that Japan must remember that Taiwan is Chinese Taiwan and that whatever happens to Taiwan is none of Japan's business.

"Using Taiwan to provoke problems will only bring trouble to Japan itself," she commented. -0-
