Beijing, November 24 (Xinhua) — China will begin building national demonstration bases for developing emerging industries, with plans to establish approximately 100 industrial park-type demonstration bases and 1,000 enterprise-type demonstration bases by 2035. This was announced in a circular published by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

According to the document, the creation of such bases will be aligned with national development strategies for the period up to 2035 and the 15th Five-Year Development Plan (2026-2030). XI'AN, November 24 (Xinhua) — China is ready to work with Russia to create more favorable conditions and foster a supportive environment for cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the two countries, Li Hongzhong, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), announced on Monday.

Li Hongzhong, also Chairman of the Chinese branch of the China-Russia Committee of Friendship, Peace and Development, made the statement at the opening ceremony of the 6th China-Russia Small and Medium Enterprise Forum in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi Province.

According to Li Hongzhong, China will adhere to the policy of making economic development its central task, focusing its efforts on promoting high-quality development, and steadily expanding high-level opening-up. St. Petersburg, November 24 /Xinhua/ — Russian technology company Yandex has launched robotic order delivery in the Primorsky District of St. Petersburg. This was reported on Monday by TASS, citing the company's press service.

Delivery robots are working at one of Yandex Lavka's online order processing warehouses. By 2026, the company plans to increase the number of such warehouses with robotic delivery in the city to 50.

St. Petersburg's delivery robots can carry up to 25 kg of cargo and operate in any weather, including fog, rain, and snow. A new lidar system allows them to see up to 100 meters and recognize their surroundings, including road signs and markings. The company plans to produce 20,000 new-generation delivery robots by the end of 2027.

SEOUL, November 24 (Xinhua) — A U.S. military MQ-9 drone stationed in the Republic of Korea (ROK) crashed on Monday off the coast of Gunsan, approximately 180 kilometers south of the capital, Seoul, local newspaper Chosun Ilbo reported.

According to a report from the 8th Fighter Wing of the US 7th Air Force in the Republic of Korea, the crash of an MQ-9 drone from the 431st Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron stationed at Kunsan Air Base occurred at 04:35 local time near the coast of the city while carrying out a scheduled mission.

It is noted that the incident did not result in civilian casualties or material damage, and the cause of the crash is under investigation.

BEIJING, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) — Responding to a reporter's question about Japan's plan to deploy offensive weapons near China's Taiwan region, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said on Monday that the move is extremely dangerous and called on neighboring countries and the international community to remain on high alert.

Mao Ning made the statement at a daily press briefing, saying that Japan's actions were deliberately escalating tensions in the region and provoking a military confrontation.
