Kyiv, December 3 (Xinhua) — Ukraine's parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, adopted the state budget for 2026 on Wednesday, the Finance Ministry reported.

The agency noted that next year, state budget revenues are expected to reach UAH 2.9 trillion (US$68.5 billion), an increase of UAH 402 billion (US$9.5 billion) over the current year. The Ministry of Finance added that due to the ongoing armed conflict with Russia, defense and security will remain one of the main expenditure items in Ukraine's state budget next year. Approximately 58 percent of the country's total expenditure is planned for these needs.

BEIJING, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) — China's Ministry of Commerce on Thursday called on the Japanese side to immediately correct its erroneous words and actions regarding Taiwan to create conditions for normal trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

Regarding Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's erroneous statements, China has repeatedly clarified its firm and fair position and called on Japan to fulfill its promises to China through concrete actions, ministry spokesman He Yadong said at a regular press briefing.
