HARBIN, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) — Five people trapped underground by a water leak at a coal mine in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province on Sunday have been confirmed dead, local authorities said Tuesday.

BEIJING, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) — The number of electric vehicle (EV) chargers in China exceeded 19.32 million units by the end of November this year, up 52 percent from a year earlier, official data showed on Tuesday.

Beijing, December 23 (Xinhua) — Friendly ice hockey competitions between Chinese and Russian junior teams kicked off in Heilongjiang Province, northeast China, the China Media Corporation reported on its official website.

BEIJING, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) — In the first 11 months of 2025, the volume of imports and exports through the Manzhouli Port (Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, north China) on the China-Russia border increased by 26.3 percent year-on-year to 102.02 billion yuan (approximately 14.5 billion U.S. dollars). BEIJING, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) — Chinese Premier Li Qiang called for further efforts to formulate the draft outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030) for the country's socio-economic development.

Li Qiang, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, made the announcement on Monday while chairing a meeting of the State Council leading group for drafting the five-year plan.
