Minsk, November 9 (Xinhua) — Belarus's participation in the China International Import Expo (CIIE) is a direct demonstration of its commitment to increasing exports to China, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Sergei Lukashevich said in an interview with BelTA.

Washington, November 9 (Xinhua) — Americans are largely dissatisfied with both political parties, viewing them as too radical and not governing fairly enough, according to a new Pew Research Center poll conducted ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

According to a poll of 3,445 American adults conducted in late September, only 39 percent of respondents believe the Republican Party governs ethically and fairly, while 42 percent say the same about the Democratic Party. KUALA LUMPUR, November 9 (Xinhua) — At least one person was found dead and six were rescued after a boat carrying about 100 undocumented migrants sank in waters near the Malaysia-Thailand maritime border, local police reported Sunday, citing Malaysia's state news agency Bernama.

Malaysia's Kedah police chief, Adzli Abu Shah, said the boat was part of a larger vessel used by the syndicate to transport more than 300 people.

According to him, about 300 migrants boarded a large vessel about a month ago. As it approached Malaysia's maritime border, the syndicate divided the migrants into three smaller boats to avoid detection by authorities.

SEOUL, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) — Two people were killed and three others were missing on Sunday after a Chinese fishing boat capsized in waters off Gageo Island, about 420 km southwest of South Korea's capital Seoul.

According to the Coast Guard of the Republic of Kazakhstan, at around 6:50 a.m. local time, a report was received that the 98-ton vessel had capsized in international waters, approximately 81 km from the island.

The Chinese Consulate General in Gwangju confirmed the report to Xinhua.

Of the 11 crew members on board the ill-fated vessel, six were rescued by another Chinese fishing vessel sailing in nearby waters. Those rescued were unharmed.

Coast Guard personnel arrived at the scene and rescued two more sailors, but they died of cardiac arrest. The remaining three remain missing.

The Coast Guard of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with a vessel from the Chinese Coast Guard, conducted search operations to find missing people in the area of the incident.

HAIYANG, Shandong Province, November 9 (Xinhua) — China successfully launched a new group of experimental satellites from waters off the coast of Haiyang City, east China's Shandong Province, on Sunday.
