BEIJING, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) — China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) on Monday announced price increases for gasoline and diesel fuel in response to recent changes in international oil prices.

From 24:00 on November 11, prices for gasoline and diesel fuel will increase by 125 yuan (US$17.64) and 120 yuan per ton, respectively, the department said.

BEIJING, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) — China on Monday added the United States, Mexico and Canada to a list of countries that require special export licenses for certain precursor chemicals.

GUANGZHOU, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) — South China's Guangdong Province activated a Level 4 emergency response at 10 a.m. Monday as Typhoon Fung-wong entered the South China Sea.

The typhoon is expected to have a significant impact on waters off Guangdong Province in the coming days.

Beijing, November 10 (Xinhua) — Since China's visa-free entry regime for Russian citizens with regular passports came into effect on September 15, 2025, more than 63,000 Russian tourists have entered China through Beijing Daxing International Airport as of Sunday evening, an increase of nearly 80 percent compared to the same period last year, the airport's border control service reported Monday.

"Thanks to the visa-free regime, we traveled from Moscow to Beijing to visit such sights as the Great Wall of China and the Palace Museum (the former imperial palace)," shared a Russian tourist who arrived at Daxing Airport.

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) — The death toll has risen to seven and 13 people have been rescued after a boat carrying nearly 100 undocumented migrants sank in waters near the Malaysia-Thailand maritime border, authorities said on Monday.

The search and rescue operation has been expanded to cover an area of 255.66 square nautical miles, the Malaysian Maritime Safety Agency said in a statement.

Malaysian authorities announced on Sunday that approximately 300 undocumented migrants boarded a large vessel and departed Myanmar. As the vessel approached Malaysia's maritime border, the migrants boarded three smaller boats to avoid detection.

JIUQUAN, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) — A mission to launch a Chinese satellite using a commercial CERES-1 launch vehicle ended in failure on Monday at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China.
