According to Zhang Hanhui, the "Eight Points" have been a fully-fledged law for the CPC from the very beginning, meaning their long-term application. "This isn't a one-time campaign, but rather permanent rules and a firm framework. They're not formal—they're a genuine method of struggle and tradition-building," the ambassador pointed out.
He added that the recently held Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee reviewed and adopted the CPC Central Committee's Proposals for the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development. Among the key tasks identified were "strengthening centralized and unified Party leadership and fostering a healthy political atmosphere." "The plenary session emphasized the importance of steadfastly adhering to the spirit of the 'Eight Points,' combating all negative trends, and long-term and systematic improvement of work style," Zhang Hanhui noted.
