Lusaka, November 20 (Xinhua) — Chinese Premier Li Qiang arrived in Zambia's capital Lusaka on Wednesday, beginning his official visit to the African country.

Li Qiang said that Zambia is the first country in Southern Africa to establish diplomatic relations with China, and the two countries enjoy deep traditional friendship.

Over the years, despite the changes in the international situation, China and Zambia have always maintained mutual respect, trust and support, and jointly strengthened the spirit of China-Africa friendship and cooperation, including the spirit of the Tanzania-Zambia railway, he said.

Li Qiang noted that in recent years, under the strategic leadership of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema, the two countries have steadily deepened political mutual trust and achieved fruitful results in various sectors, creating a model of solidarity and cooperation among developing countries.

During the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in September last year, the two heads of state held a meeting that pointed the way for further deepening the comprehensive strategic cooperation and partnership between China and Zambia, the prime minister said.

Li Qiang said China is willing to cooperate with Zambia to strengthen traditional friendship, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, promote mutual understanding and rapprochement between the two peoples, and jointly advance along the path of modernization.

Amidst the intertwined changes and chaos in the world, China is willing to strengthen multilateral communication and coordination with Zambia, maintain unity with a wide range of countries in the Global South, safeguard international order and justice, and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

Li Qiang's visit followed his participation in the 24th meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Moscow. –0–

GUANGZHOU, November 20 (Xinhua) — A state-of-the-art aquaculture vessel was commissioned Wednesday in Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, China's economic hub. The high-end vessel, Zhanjiang Bay No. 1, is designed to boost the country's aquaculture industry.

Zhanjiang Bay No.1 is a floating cage-type aquaculture vessel with dynamic positioning, the world's first vessel of its kind that combines efficiency, mobility and intelligent operation.

It is 154 meters long, 44 meters wide, and has a total aquaculture capacity of 80,000 cubic meters. With 12 independent fish-rearing zones, the vessel allows for the simultaneous farming of several species. Annual aquaculture production is projected to range from 2,000 to 5,000 tons.

According to the vessel's chief designer, Chen Xiao of the Guangdong South Marine Science and Engineering Laboratory (Zhanjiang), the vessel is equipped with cutting-edge technologies such as autonomous navigation, typhoon emergency prevention, and self-sufficiency in green energy. Furthermore, the vessel is equipped with an intelligent feed delivery system, net cleaning, monitoring, and wireless data transmission.

Chen Xiao noted that the vessel reduces costs and improves the quality of deep-sea mariculture through natural water exchange. It can operate at low power in waters deeper than 100 meters, expanding the possibilities for aquaculture operations.

Chinese Academy of Sciences academician Gui Jianfang emphasized that this vessel is a pioneer in the development of mariculture in China, expanding its space from shallow coastal waters to the deep sea. -0-

BEIJING, November 20 (Xinhua) — The 10-day joint creative event "The Great Tea Road" by Chinese and Mongolian artists, organized by the Information Office of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region (North China), concluded recently.

More than 20 artists from China and Mongolia successively visited Inner Mongolia and Fujian Province (East China), conducting creative work along the Great Tea Road.

According to a report on the news website nmgnews.com, this event accurately reflects the cultural context of the Tea Road: the first part took place in Inner Mongolia, exploring the majestic style of the steppe Silk Road, while the second focused on the tea traditions and cultural heritage of Fujian Province. As a cultural link between China and Mongolia, the Great Tea Road carries the memory of a millennia-long dialogue between civilizations.

The State Gate at Ereenhot, the Inner Mongolia Museum, the picturesque landscapes of the Wuyi Mountains, and the Fan Dian Gallery left unforgettable impressions on Chinese and Mongolian artists. Using brushes as a means of communication, the artists exchanged ideas in a collaborative creative process, forging a new chapter in the cultural exchange between China and Mongolia.

The Great Tea Road, which emerged in the 17th century, began in the Wuyi Mountains and reached St. Petersburg, crossing China, Mongolia, and Russia. This approximately 14,000-kilometer route, primarily for tea, became an important economic and cultural link between Asia and Europe, following in the footsteps of the ancient Silk Road.

A gala meeting and awards ceremony for the winners of the first Belarusian National Competition "RadioTriumph" was also held in the evening at the Palace of the Republic.

As Vladimir Pertsov, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Belarus, noted during a ceremony at the Palace of the Republic, radio remains one of the most popular media outlets. BEIJING, November 20 (Xinhua) — A China-Europe freight train loaded with household goods departed from the international land port of Ganzhou in east China's Jiangxi Province on Wednesday. This marks the first time the inland province has handled a total of 2,185 China-Europe trains in the 10 years since such freight services began in 2015.

These China-Europe trains, which departed from or arrived in Jiangxi, carried a total of 242,000 standard container units (TEUs) carrying goods weighing over 5.7 million tons, worth a total of $9 billion, according to the Zhongguo Xinwenshe news agency.

The Nankang District of Ganzhou City uses approximately 10 million cubic meters of wood annually for furniture production, 80 percent of which is imported. According to Ye Zhangnan, director of the Nanchang Railway Logistics Center at the aforementioned port, thanks to China-Europe rail services, the transit time for transporting wood to the port has been reduced to 12 days, 25 days less than traditional sea transport, and overall logistics costs have been reduced by 18 percent.

"Thanks to the stable and efficient operation of China-Europe trains, our number of European clients is gradually growing. Between January and October of this year, we already exported 68 containers of goods," said Wen Shitong, a representative of a local furniture company, adding that the company intends to further expand its presence in the European and Central Asian markets.

According to statistics, Jiangxi Province has already launched a total of 12 international transport routes, creating a major logistics artery spanning 224 cities in 25 countries across Europe and Asia, including Russia, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, and elsewhere. This has enabled Jiangxi Province, which is landlocked and borders no other countries, to significantly reduce the distance to global markets. -0-
