GUANGZHOU, November 24 (Xinhua) — A fatal accident in southern China's Guangdong Province was caused by poor safety procedures during tunnel construction in a high-risk area and a failure to reinforce the tunnel in a timely manner after the initial collapse, according to an investigation report released Monday.

On December 4, 2024, 13 workers were killed in a landslide at the Shenzhen-Jiangmen Railway construction site in Shenzhen.
