Tianjin, November 26 (Xinhua) — The Tianjin Rail Transport Corporation has begun training Kazakh dispatchers for the future light rail transit (LRT) system in Astana. The group of 20 dispatcher students is the second cohort of trainees being trained by the Chinese side, following the completion of driver training for the first light rail system in the Kazakh capital.

As one of the course participants, Nurke Usen, noted, before starting the training, he believed that a dispatcher's job was limited to simply "giving commands." "Now I understand that the dispatch service is the true 'nerve center' of LRT operations, encompassing in-depth analysis, comprehensive coordination, and a host of other specialized tasks," he shared.

The first phase of the Astana LRT project is over 20 kilometers long. It includes 18 stations and one depot. Trains have a design speed of 80 km/h. BEIJING, November 26 (Xinhua) — The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAC) has approved the permanent opening of Yili International Airport, located in Yining City, Yili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR), to the outside world on March 19, 2026, the Xinjiang Daily newspaper reported.

This means that this airport will officially handle international flights, as well as have the necessary customs and border control facilities. WASHINGTON, November 25 (Xinhua) — Entrance fees to 11 of the most popular U.S. national parks will increase for non-U.S. residents starting January 1, 2026, the U.S. Department of the Interior announced on Tuesday.
